We enjoyed our stay, the house was close to the town center & we could walk everywhere.
There are plenty of rooms, and a nice tub to soak at the end of day!
Manchester is so pretty, love Ye Old Tavern! Thank you for your hospitality.
Property was as described. Great location to town (walking distance). Nice comfortable place with everything we needed to be comfortable for a few days in Manchester. Place has a lot of charm. Check in and communication was great with owners. Look forward to staying again.
This is our 2nd time staying at this property in Manchester. It is always clean, well-appointed and conveniently located (walking distance) to downtown.
Perfect location! Huge house! Not for a romantic getaway; reserve this place for a family reunion.
Beautiful deck and backyard. You are directly on 7A, so be prepared to hear cars.
The home has very basic amenities and very fast WiFi. The owner was fast in responding to our questions.
A great value for the cost.
You wonât be disappointed
Great spot to walk downtown and drives were Short drives to a lot of spots. House isn't updated but in pretty good condition. Downstairs bathroom has a couple missing tiles and molding. All of the bedrooms are good sized room. It's worth it to stay here. Seller responded very quickly. Wish he had told us about the Green Mountain restrictions before the day before. Would come back and stay there again.
Pros: the property was very clean, had really comfy beds and a cute, cozy layout. It's in a great location and within an easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping.
Cons:
1) property advertised as 3 baths but only 2. We reserved based on the listing for our party of 8. The upstairs tub and shower is challenging.: clawfoot tub, no soap/shampoo baskets, shower curtains don't reach the entire way around the shower.
2) electric in the kitchen is inadequate. Apparently this is an ongoing problem because the check-in instructions which the owner provided had specifics about using certain outlets with certain appliances. Written notification by electrician posted in kitchen but despite following their written instructions, we easily tripped the circuit breaker in the basement a dozen times in a few days. Unable to make coffee with the owner supplied Keurig and cook at the same time, or have lights. Very disruptive and a safety concern.
3) back door knob was inadequate. Not firmly connected to the door, difficult to keep the door closed or locked.
I've never written a less than positive VRBO review. I offered the owner the opportunity to communicate privately about the concerns listed here and others, but his sole response was that the electrical issue had not been "a problem in the past when we use. Will have the electricity guy come in soon to investigate". With the exception of the electrical issue, the remaining problems are not likely very costly but yet basic requirements of rental properties.
A wonderful property, has everything you could ever really want albeit rustic. Two outdoor decks, one with Adirondack Chairs, the other near a grassy yard with a fire pit. Great big kitchen, easy to work in, we cooked all our meals in with great delight post hiking in the majestic Green Mountains. We have zero complaints and can't wait to return.
The house was really clean and well set up for a group of people to stay with a nice indoor and outdoor seating including a nice firepit. We just crashed for a wedding so it was sleep and go, but the beds were comfortable and large and there were plenty of blankets.
The upstairs shower is a little funky so you need to be have no physical limitations with getting into / out of a tub shower. The downstairs bathroom was standard. There are only two bathrooms but initially the listing said 3 although that may have changed.
We booked our getaway to Vermont a little late so there were slim pickins. Fortunately, this place was available! The house is about equidistant from Stratton Mountain and Bromley and walking distance from the shops and restaurants of Manchester. Try Up For Breakfast! There are outlet stores a short drive away.
Check in was easy. There is a lock box with a key inside. It's on a large lot so there is lots of privacy. Parking is easy, albeit muddy due to rain. The house is very spacious; the upstairs bedrooms are huge. You could easily sleep 8. The beds are SUPER comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The bathrooms functional. The host is very friendly and accessible. He even mailed us two coats that we left behind (Thanks Scott!) The only downside is that the kitchen and furnishings are a bit dated.
This home was the perfect location for our family. The guys skiied and I walked into town and did shopping. The house was clean and well equiped for our short stay.
Property was centrally located in the town.of Manchester and was about a 20 minute drive to Stratton mountain. Very warm and cozy house. Would definitely recommend it and would return!
Such a great location very close to downtown Manchester center and even closer to two staples establishments in Manchester- Gringo Jacks and Ye Olde Tavern. Will be going back again.
What an amazing visit! This house has a ton of charm and character. Clean, comfortable, and cozy. Waking up in the morning and looking outside to see the snowy scene was something out of a movie. We will be here again hopefully sometime soon!
We had a great time here. Exactly as advertised and met our needs perfectly. The location couldn't be better. Walk right downtown to the stores / restaurants. Short jaunt up the road to the horse show (July) and various fishing / recreation areas. Easy ~20 mins to Stratton Mtn for golf (or the Equinox much shorter). We'll definitely stay here if we do the horse show again!
This house has been newly renovated this year 2017. walking distance to all the stores bars and resturants in town . 10 minutes to Bromly mountain and 20 minutes to sratton mountain ski 10 minutes to the summer horse show.
