It is a peaceful neighborhood that can be viewed from the giant front porch. The wooded backyard feels like your miles away from town but really it is just steps to downtown. The Erie canal is a special treat for walkers, bikers or even fishing. The Erie Canal is viewable from the front porch as well. It's fun to watch the historical bridge accommodate boats as they travel down the canal waterway during Marine season. The neighborhood is steeped in history - from the architecture of the buildings to the small Cobblestone village just two miles down the road.
You can't miss the large front porch with swaying ferns and a charming cupola atop the brick structure. Once inside one could only imagine the grandeur of the home and what it was like in 1839 the year the house was built. The one bedroom apartment is a peaceful retreat from the everyday. With the tall ceilings to the massive arch that welcomes you into the little kitchen area adorned with a large laundry sink & butcher block counter top. The bedroom is a spacious sanctuary with a big brass bed and record player with classic vinyl to surely stimulate feel good endorphins and take you away if even for a moment. Make your way to the attached bathroom where the vintage clawfoot tub awaits you. Take your time to slip in and slip away. You're welcome ;)
