the house was very nice and comfortable. loved decor, and the grand staircase, many amenities in case you forget something. very friendly hosts and cute dogs!
Very nice home and centralized location. Easy check in and check out process. Place was clean, beds were comfy and kitchen had evrything you needed. Highly recommend if you're staying in the area.
We were in Albion for a wedding, and we lucked out getting this gem for our stay! Owners were very easy to contact, the apartment is clean, lots of amenities, and so so cute! Highly recommend!
Communication with Brooke was extremely easy since she was proactive and responsive. Once my husband and I arrived, it was great to have a designated parking spot for unloading our car. The apartment itself was clean and decorated to perfection. I cannot say enough about Brooke's attention to detail and her ability to make an old home shine. She has kept all the character of the home while making updates that allow her guests to have a comfortable stay. Plus, we ran into Brooke and Peter, her husband, who were friendly, welcoming, and eager to answer any of our questions. Waling along the canal was an added perk since it is so near the property! Overall, we had a great stay and hope to stay again next year!
We stayed in this apartment overnight, while in town for a wedding at The Lockstone, which is an easy walk from the house. The apartment was very clean and loaded with historical charm. Brooke and Peter were very easy to communicate with through out the process. Would definitely recommend this apartment to others.
The rental is nicely decorated, spacious, and clean. The hosts have thought of all the necessary touches to meet oneâs needs while away from home. The village is full of historic homes and buildings that are well-kept. There are stores and places to eat in the village, which is helpful because the overall location is rural. There is some traffic noise but itâs overall a quiet place. The stairwell is beautiful but steep.
Close to Erie trail, hose available to clean off bikes, secure place to store bikes. We stayed overnight and did not use the kitchen. At least one restaurant and one coffee shop are within a quarter mile or so. Queen bedroom is nice, full bedroom a little snug if youâre not use to that. Stairs are steep if that is a concern.Itâs an old, charming house thatâs had a facelift. Apartment is part of the house with a private entrance and very quiet. We enjoyed our stay
This is a beautiful clean apartment. It is very spacious and comfortable. We had two issues with the check-in process that is worth noting. One is there was no actual check-in process. Noted on the listing, only check out. When we arrived at 9:00 at night we had to call to get assistance because the location of the lock box as well as where we were supposed to enter the unit. We're not immediately apparent to us. The second and bigger issue was it was a 90 day the day we checked in. When we got there the air conditioning was off and the apartment was well over 80. They have two small window units servicing a large apartment in an older house. Needless to say, it took hours for it to come down to a decent temperature and by the next morning it was just starting to be a good temperature. The bed was very comfortable.
We had a lovely weekend stay at this simple, but very well decorated rental. Cozy and comfortable space. Host was very accommodating. The spiral staircase (to the bathroom and bedrooms) adds to the historical charm. Highly recommend this location.
We attended a family reunion and wedding in Albion. The apartment is spacious, with comfy beds, and was a great place to home base for the weekend. Thank you!andwas a great
We traveled to the area for a wedding from out of state and this was perfect for our short stay. We liked the charm of the house and enjoyed having a quiet place to relax before and after the festivities.
We traveled from Spokane, Washington to my hometown in New York for a family wedding and have an absolutely wonderful time. It was nice to come back to a peaceful quiet place to sleep and relax after a busy day of sightseeing and visiting family.
Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and in a nice area near the canal. Bed was really comfy! I loved all of the little touches like the record player and records in one of the bedrooms
My family really enjoyed our week long stay in this charming home. It had everything we needed. Brooke was quick to respond when I had any questions. Brooke and Peter always made sure we had everything we needed whenever we saw them. They're adorable dog was a huge hit with us! Thank you, Brooke and Peter!

Hi! We are Peter and Brooke, your hosts at Lagom Living. We began our VRBO adventure during the hype of Covid. With help from Brooke's Dad and son we renovated the other side of our duplex to be more suitable for guests. Brooke owns a small home + living shop in Brockport, a couple of towns over. Brooke was able to incorporate much of the shops vibe with local art & antique furnishings in the space. The apartment is completely private with separate entrances. You may occasionally see us around, in the garden or walking the dogs. Although we really enjoy meeting people and hosting travelers passing through, we also respect your privacy. Are hope is that you have an enjoyable and relaxing stay with us! Life can be full of hustle and sometimes it's nice to have a peaceful place to rejuvenate, even if it is only for a night and hopefully you will leave here feeling a little more refreshed. We look forward to hosting you!
Relax in the rocking chairs on the front porch or gather around our firepit in the backyard at the end of the day. We have everything you need for a memorable getaway. Whether youâre traveling with friends or family, we hope youâll consider staying with us. Favorite space: Follow the grand staircase up to the second floor and youâll find a cozy little nook on the landing. Settle in to read a book or look out the window and dream. Start your day with a cup of coffee and some baked goods from Java Joint Coffee. Spend a leisurely afternoon visiting the local shops and antique stores and then stop by the charming ice cream shop, Tinsel, for some sweet treats.
