The cottage was listed as private but there were company on the other side of cottage cooking and moving around day and night.. didn't know it it was safe so we had to stay
Centrally located and easy to get to and from in our travels around the gulf. Older home with character that's been nicely maintained. Crystal was onsite to help if needed and always available via text. We very much enjoyed our stay.
Clean comfortable and exudes southern hospitality.
Property was very clean. Host was very hospitable and thoughtful. She exceeded our expectations. Very customer/ guest oriented. Extremely thoughtful in providing snacks, water, toiletry items, etc. The cottage is very comfortable and well stocked. We really enjoyed our stay.
My wife and I were moving from CO to MS for a job opportunity, and needed an affordable place to stay for 3 weeks. Crystal is really nice, and has done a great job with creating a cozy little oasis for travelers in Gulfport. Lots of nice touches inside, comfy bed and couch, with snacks and bottles of water. Be aware that the street in front of the house is pretty noisy during the day. Crystal was gracious and allowed us to park our motorcycles behind her gate, instead of out in front of the house. We did have one confusing issue about the pet deposit. After we checked out, Crystal believed our dog had scratched parts of her floor, but said our $200 non-refundable pet deposit didn't apply to that, but was only for pet related cleaning. For clarity we then communicated that any potential damage claim needed to go through the proper VRBO channels and rules.
Thanks and best wishes.
We enjoyed our stay in Gulfport. Crystalsâ cottage is cozy and inviting. It is wonderfully cool and immaculately clean inside. She thoughtfully leaves bottled water and delicious snacks. You have everything you need to relax in comfort during your stay. She is available to answer any questions you may have as an added bonus. We appreciate her hospitality.
A fantastic quiet residence with an attentive host!
The Cozy Cottage is that. Cozy and inviting. On arriving we were welcomed by two beautiful friendly outdoor cats and easy instructions in my VRBO inbox on how to get our key for the stay. If that hadn't worked, there was a Ring doorbell as an alternative option. It felt relaxing walking into the kitchenette to see the snacks, placemats, and supplies we needed to perk up after a long drive. Inside the living room and bedroom didn't disappoint either and it was like walking into my old home in Chattanooga. For the age of the building, Crystal has done a fantastic job keeping it clean and repaired. (I know, weird thing to point out, but in those homes, it's so easy to have plaster cracks slip by or floors with minor damage due to foundation shift. Having owned one of those I know the fight and this house was phenomenally well kept.)
The living room was spacious, bedroom comfortable, and bathroom clean. Everything you want in a stay.
The Bonuses were also great! Streaming services for guests on the televisions, guides to the local area, a small computer for looking up information, and food/bottled water in the kitchen made it feel like a small getaway while I was in for a work trip.
Crystal was responsive to messages and forgiving when I missed the pet fee on the first day, and allowed me to get that to her on the second.
We even got caught in part of a tropical storm and the house felt safe all night as we rode out the winds and rain.
To anyone looking for a little getaway between Biloxi and New Orleans, anyone needing to hit Gulfport for a business trip, or for those who may be traveling through Gulfport on I-10, this will be my suggested place to stay. Thank you for taking care of us Crystal!
When I booked this property it was described as a "spacious cottage" however, this was not true. It was actually a few roomsIn the owners home. This information was not disclosed to us and she seemed to have no problem with the false and misleading information. We could hear her moving things around on the other side of the wall; which scared my children. She may or may not have had pets because my children (whom are allergy prone) we conjugate and sneezed perfusely. We had to scramble to find another place to stay (nearly everything was completely booked). She also said she could not cancel the reservation which was not true. She only canceled after I asked her for my money back and told her we would file a claim. She told ua that she could not call Vbro because it was after 5:00. I should have not taken her word. However, I just knew I had to get my family out of her home. With everything happening in 2020, not disclosing this information to prospective renters is completely neglectful and irresponsible. Anyone could have gone through our thibgs when we were not there. She could have had guest of her own that were harnful to my family. This lady really doesn't care how she advertises her space as long as she gets her money. Do not stay at this locayion. Everything posted is a lie. She also has displayed this place on other sites claiming yhat the renters get a private house; when in fact they get 3 rooms in her homes. We had no control over our stay and it was going to be an invasion of privacy if we would have stayed. I hope she changes her description and becones nore honest.
Best , most âhomeyâ place to stay in Gulfport! Fully furnished with snacks and Crystal always available if you need ANYTHING! Gorgeous decor! Canât be beat!
Best of ANYWHERE we have ever stayed! Spotlessly clean, all kitchen appliances and utensils provided, luxurious towels and bath accessories, professionally and beautifully decorated! Who could ask for anything more!
Crystal is the most conscientious landlord anywhere! She saw to our every want and need! The cottage is so cozy and comfortable, couldnât be better! It is beautifully decorated and has everything anyone could want! Close to restaurants and stores and the beach! Will stay here many more times if possible!
Unfortunately, due to thunderstorms in my home state of Georgia that apparently stretched as far as New Orleans, LA, I was not able to make the trip. This was really supposed to be a trip for my dogs who enjoy running/walking along the Mississippi coast. We had also planned to visit the bird sanctuary in Dauphin Island to spread the remains of another beloved dog who passed away in 2017. That said, thunderstorms were just not conducive.
Crystal was terrific and was in contact with me the whole time, trying to coordinate our arrival and providing updates about the weather. While I am disappointed that we were not able to visit, I was happy to have a terrific host such as Crystal who was extremely accommodating of our shifting/changing travel plans. Her cottage looks super cute, which is why I booked it in the first place. Combine that with a wonderful, caring personality and this rental is top rate all the way. Highly recommend!
