Welcome to Sandpiper Cottage - a cozy historic Gulfport getaway with all the modern conveniences. Thoughtfully outfitted for adults and children with all the comforts of home!

Relax on the huge back deck, make s’mores in the fire pit, play a game of ping-pong in the bunkroom, or whip up a seafood dish in the newly renovated kitchen. Quiet neighborhood, .5 miles from the beach. Convenient to downtown, restaurants, attractions, and more! Very responsive local owners.

The stay was awesome! The house was more spacious than it seemed on the pictures and very comfortable. I had a question at 9 o’clock at night and the owner responded within minutes! Beautiful property inside and out! The backyard is very spacious and functional.

The property was perfect for our needs. Everyone slept comfortably on the foam mattresses. The location was close to everything we wanted to do, including the beach, Biloxi, and New Orleans. Our hosts were extremely responsive and easy to deal with. It would have been nice to have usable drawers in the bedroom with the laundry machine or at least a much larger number of hangers.

The house was nice and clean with comfortable bedrooms, it had some areas in need of repair but it is to be expected with an older home. The charm and character was very nice and the outdoor area was well equipped.

THE GOOD: KITCHEN - Has adequate cooking utensils, drink ware, plates.PORCH - Back porch was a good addition, but it wouldn't hurt to leaf blow a property prior to someone arriving. LOCATION - The location was blocks from the beach.LIVING ROOM - had adequate seating and a TV for those who need to watch the tube.______________________________________________THE BAD: Pictures always lie. We arrived at the location to find a charming, old, bungalow. With a bungalow comes many issues if not remedied. OVERALL CONDITION - Unlevel floors, peeling floor tiles, holes in the wall, and malfunctioning ceiling fans.BEDROOMS - Speaking of holes in the wall, we found a literal bandaid patched over one of the holes in a bedroom - well, it was hanging from the hole (see pic). Honestly disgusting. Old hangers, garbage lying on the closet floors, closet door did not close well either. The mattresses and pillows, in both bedrooms, were awful.BATHROOM - Old bathroom, typical lack of upkeep, no bath soap, shampoo in the bathroom. KITCHEN - There was no water in the fridge - as listed.VRBO - We rented from VRBO this time expecting more quality rentals than those we have found on that other company's website. However, VRBO did not meet our expectations either due to this experience.If you prefer uncomfortable beds, literal bandaids as patchwork on holes in walls, non-functioning ceiling fans, no soap/shampoo, then this place is for you.Otherwise, keep searching.

We stayed for a night while in town for a wedding. It was everything we needed for a good nights rest. Clean with comfy beds and a ping pong table for the kiddos before bed. Thankful for the coffee and coffee maker:)

Great Trip to Gulfport

This house was perfect for our family of 5. It was located in a quiet neighborhood and was a short walk to the beach as advertised. There was a short drive to many different attractions. The outdoor porch was perfect for sitting in the morning and evening and had plenty of space for the corn hole game provided. My kids loved the ping pong table and the dining room table was perfect for card games. We used the kitchen everyday and there were plenty of items provided for basic cooking. The hosts were very responsive to our questions as we adjusted to the house on the first days. I would highly recommend this property and the hosts!

Family trip to Gulfport

Sandpiper Cottage was an excellent place to stay! It was a cute and comfortable house to stay in! We loved the styling and the feel of the house. It was super close to the beach which my family absolutely enjoyed! My boys loved the pingpong table and played many games. We definitely recommend staying here if you visit Gulfport, Mississippi!

Girls trip

Me and my sister came down for a girls weekend with no kids and stayed at the Sandpiper. We loved it! The house was so cute and charming and in a really quiet neighborhood. The location couldn’t have been better. Super easy check in and out process also. The hosts were very informative. We would definitely book again.

Everything was very clean. Enjoyed the pickleball courts and ping pong table. Only draw back was the trains going by. Check in and out was simple. The house had a very homey feel to it.

Gulfport Getaway

Nice looking and unique exterior from the street. Well maintained. Inside has new appliances, very comfortable beds, warm water and good shower. Great towels. The interior was very clean. It’s obvious the owner is actively involved in keeping this property up. The bones of this house are rather old. Floors in places are uneven if you have any ambulation problems. The back porch and yard are very nice as well but needed a good Spring cleaning. Fire pit and outside lighting was very nice. Back yard needs raked and some old items near the shed could be down away with particularly if you have younger children. Great communication with the owner who is receptive and takes pride in the property. Quiet fairly well kept neighborhood, close to the beach and the Naval base, as well as restaurants and coffee shops. All at a reasonable price. We really enjoyed our stay.
