The home, location, host, lake and everything else that went with it was amazing! Tavares is a perfect location for all ages. Close to all shopping, beaches, theme parks and so much more. My family lives down here, so this home was perfect for me and my kids to enjoy the time and peacefulness.

Beautiful home and location. Location is very close to restaurants and all shopping. The covered back porch over looking the water was peaceful and a great place to relax at anytime of the day. Clean and well cared for home, well equipment kitchen, Comfortable beds and pillows. Definitely will be booking again next time in Florida.

Lake retreat

We loved it. The views were fantastic. The house was very nice and very clean. We loved the location, close to where we wanted to be.

We had a great time at this property. The property was very clean and properly stocked. Kids had a great time fishing and swimming in the lake. Conveniently located; Publix nearby and several restaurants as well.

Mini-Get-a-way

Down for a Wedding at Howey Mansion. Decided to come early and chill. This was the perfect setting on the lake and nearby local attractions. Strongly recommend this location.

Cottage on lake

We loved our stay! Phenomenal lake views, remarkable natural animals. Hawks, otters, countless woodpeckers, and cardinals. The home was comfy and nostalgic. The owners were helpful and responsive. The town was inviting, clean, and nice. People were polite and friendly. Traffic was really low! Smiles were everywhere! We chose to have our 2nd daughters wedding at St Patrick's Church and celebration at Moss Estates. Both places were/are extraordinarily majestic and memorable We highly recommend Mount Dora for everyone/anyone

Beautiful Lake Getaway

We LOVED this property! It's a very attractive bungalow & sitting on the dock watching the lake was so relaxing. They provides so many thoughtful amenities to make our stay an enjoyable as possible. The property manager was very kind and responsive. This is truly a gem!

Perfect!

The property is near stores and main road, however once you are inside or in the back yard you don’t even feel like it. It was very peaceful and filled our needs. We were in town for a surprise bday party and it was the perfect place for us to stay at.

Cottage on lake

Excellent place to stay near Mt Dora and Tavares. Clean in and out. Has dock with rocking chairs which is very relaxing and a hammock on the back deck for naps. All cooking and serving items are available with plenty of seating in kitchen. Property manager was wonderful and easy to work with. Would stay again.

Sweet cottage in Tavares with a lovely view!

Needed a short stay for attending a memorial service in the area. This adorable 1923 cottage was perfect. I chose it for the size and "fishability" -- the lake is so clear and the view from the back porch and the dock is really beautiful. Though we weren't at the property much because of the events we were attending, the cottage seemed well equipped, clean and comfortable. Very nice stay!

Great sunsets

We had a great time, just what we had in mind, we were looking for a tranquil thanksgiving in a place with a beautiful view and that is what we got at Lake House.I garden myself, so I particularly enjoyed the garden and also watching the sunset from the pier.Lourdes

Lake House getaway

We had an amazing time, this is a perfect house for some relaxation and quality time; it is well equipped and the rooms are very comfortable. All appliances are in good shape, loved the vintage glassware. The highlight is the deck, even if you don’t have a boat, perfect spot for morning coffee, meditation and just contemplating and enjoying the outdoors, would definitely go back there.

Spectacular lakefront view and beautiful sunsets

Our stay at this lakefront home was perfect! Not only did the property boast pristine cleanliness and thoughtful amenities, but the morning coffee on the deck with serene lake views became a morning ritual. The stunning sunsets from the dock were equally impressive. Heather, the property manager, deserves accolades for prompt and excellent support. This rental offered an unforgettable blend of relaxation and adventure.
