We very much enjoyed our stay. Everything inside was clean, bed was comfortable. My mother has difficulty getting around and both beds were quite high, so we were happy to find a pull out sleeper in the couch for her. The rooms were pretty dim, even when all the lights were turned on. But this is still such a small thing and did not take away from our time. Thank you!
Great location as we came down for OSU parents weekend. Loved having space for our golden retriever and being able to make own meals rather than staying in a hotel. Beautiful property and loved the water feature outside the living room windows.
We give this home and our hosts our highest rating and recommendation. The home is very warm and inviting as well as comfortable. The bed is comfy, and the shower is amazing. We especially appreciate all of the artwork throughout the house. The views from both inside and outside the house are beautiful. We enjoyed the bird songs and birdwatching both from inside the house and the patio. last but not leadt our hosts Dale and Peggy were most gracious and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and won't hesitate to stay again should the occasion arise.
Stayed at this property for several nights. Dale is a wonderful host. House is well stocked and has many nice features. Don't forget to check out Dales pottery shop, I couldn't leave without something!
There is something so special and calming about being at the Christmas Tree Farm. We just spend 6 nights on the property in the lower flat, so we truly got a feel for the place. Part of it is that you feel secluded in this tucked away property just minutes from the OSU Campus. But you aren't secluded. As we wandered amongst the trees throughout the property, we saw neighbors walking their dogs and joggers following the paths. It is truly a treasured property by everyone in the area.Dale and Peggy also make you feel very welcome. They tool about tending to things, but leave you to enjoy the surroundings. And there is so much to enjoy. You feel immersed in the garden, especially in the dining room that has you eye level with the bullfrogs in the pond. We also took full advantage of having the covered patio made from Dale's impressive pottery, having a glass of wine to soak in the view and dinner several times. This became our home base for the week, and we couldn't have made a better choice.
The artistic elements of the accommodation and the landscaping with the decorative pond, all with artistic ceramics elements made the a wonderful place for our three-day stay. The property owner/manager wad delightful to talk with duribg our stay.
Fabulous property. Quiet. Lots of extras to make your stay comfortable .
Great property with a very attentive property owner. Super location, artsy grounds, and wonderfully quiet. I will definitely stay there again when visiting Corvallis.
Was greeted when we arrived
The Christmas tree farm was fun along with the pottery shop
Was close to OSU and convenient to downtown
Would definitely recommend
I was born and raised in Corvallis. After high school, I spent 4 years in the military. Upon discharge, I enrolled and graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in art. I purchased the farm from my parents and built my studio and display room here. I have been a practicing ceramic artist since 1969. My wife and I now manage the farm, pottery and rentals together.
My mother's family came to Oregon via covered wagon in 1852. They settled in the Willamette Valley. In 1936 My father Arthur, moved from the mid-west, married my mother Lucille and they settled in Corvallis, purchasing the farm in 1953. I bought the property from my parents when I graduated from college. I planted Christmas trees and I have been selling pottery and trees here since.
Though the city has grown up around us, the tree farm remains a peaceful refuge. There is a ring of 200 year old Oregon white oaks around us. And almost every evening in the summer, a beautiful wind from the Pacific blows across the valley and through our oaks and firs.
