Lillian, Glad you mostly enjoyed your husband's birthday celebration. Agree the unobstructed ocean view is the best! Sorry to hear there were some minor stains on the Queen sheets in the back bedroom. I sent the pictures to the housecleaners, and they have since thrown away those sheets and purchased new ones. They double checked and there were replacement sheets in the last drawer of the tall bureau in the same room. Very much appreciate you told us this. Yes, during the holiday weekends it is hard to get a parking on the streets. Our contract states you have ONE off street parking spot and then our clients can park anywhere on the street. Unfortunately, in your case it was a holiday weekend and on street parking was very limited. All sheets in both bedrooms have been replaced with new sheets. Thank you for your feedback. There are additional sheets for all beds in the bottom drawers of the bureau or in a plastic vacuum bag on the top shelf of the front main bedroom. I had the cleaners double check and there are two additional blankets also. Yes, the main living room in the little log cabin is dark. Agree you need to keep the lights on during the day. We have decided to leave the cabin in its original 1933 design and not tear down walls and open it up to the front as many contractors have suggested. We want to keep the old vintage look. A dark living room by day is one of the downsides. However, if you open the shades that lead to the sunporch behind the sofa and the shades to the two side windows you get enough light by day but you sacrifice some privacy. There are DARKENING SHADES in both bedrooms. You have the blinds which can open or close by one of the strings, but you ALSO have an additional string which brings down new high end darkening shades. These shades cover the blinds, which cover the windows. They roll up nicely under the valences. We had similar complaints about this in the past and installed darkening shades in both bedroom a little over one year ago. Sorry you missed this very special detail. I will add a note in the bedrooms so other clients realized we have both a blind AND darkening shade system in the rooms. Thanks for pointing out the heating system bangs (again). It happens every so often and I have to personally go adjust the foam pads around the heating grill. We have a new heating system which is very powerful for the house and if the grill is not adjusted perfectly, it makes a slight bang when the furnace stops blowing hot air. As the location is directly in the hallway outside the bedroom, you hear it when the adjustment is not perfect. I will get that readjusted.
