Notre charmant et récemment rénové Hancock Pond est un endroit délicieux pour les escapades d'été, d'automne et d'hiver. Profitez de la navigation d'été, de la natation et de la pêche depuis notre quai; Randonnées pédestres, sorties de pays et cueillette de pommes; La raquette d'hiver et le ski de fond de notre maison, et le ski alpin à proximité de Shawnee Peak. Vous trouverez tout ce dont vous avez besoin ici pour des vacances parfaites: bateau à pédales, 2 kayaks, internet haut débit, télévision par câble, chauffage central / air climatisé, foyer au gaz, laveuse / sécheuse, barbecue, jeux et jouets pour enfants. La maison dispose d'un terrain privé, niveau, salon ouvert / cuisine / salle à manger, premier étage avec deux chambres et salle de bain complète. À l'étage supérieur, une grande chambre ensoleillée surplombant le lac et une autre salle de bain complète, plus un loft avec deux futons doubles.

Lake Life at its best

We had a lovely stay at this well appointed property. Its location on the water was secluded and peaceful. My kids absolutely loved paddling around on the kayaks and catching toads on the well mainted grounds. We would love to come stay again!

A great place to stay that for a relaxing family vacation!

We had a fantastic stay at the Laughing Loon! Our family of 4 plus 2 young kids had a blast, relaxing and cooking breakfast, kayaking in the huge lake, exploring the surrounding secluded towns, and taking in everything Maine has to offer. If you're looking for seclusion and a great time away from the stressful life at home, this is the place to stay. We can't wait to come back!

BEAUTIFUL LOCATION!

We came up a bit late (after docks were out), but the nature and location were amazing. Great colors, precious loons, and lots of lobster. Wonderful trip.

Perfect winter get-away

The house was cozy yet very spacious and clean. Our two families were very comfortable. The location is beautiful, especially seeing the sunrise over the frozen pond. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful.

Perfect winter weekend

We had a relaxing, peaceful stay at Laughing Loon. There was ample space for the six of us, plenty of heat for a snowy, January weekend, and the loveliest views of the lake. We especially enjoyed sitting by the fire, playing games, and looking out the huge windows to see the people fishing on the ice and bald eagles flying by. It was the perfect spot for our family gathering, and the hosts were super easy to communicate with. We would love to return - highly recommend!

Wonderful private spot

We enjoyed a week at Laughing Loon. The house was more than we had hoped for, clean and very comfortable. The entire spot was enjoyable. The waster was perfect, kayaking was peaceful on Hancock pond. Thank you to Rebecca and Bill for their hospitality.

Great getaway location

Beautiful, quiet lake setting. The use of the kayaks was a special treat, allowing us to tour the lake and take in the stunning views. House was super clean and neat. We were there to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet and this place really fit the bill. Thanks Rebecca.

Beautiful and peaceful lake and home

Nicely designed, very comfortable home on clear lake. Watch loons and bald eagles right out your back door. Excellent lake for boating and swimming. Comfortable beds and great setup of house. Beautiful surrounding area with plenty of actives for all family members. Friendly owners, easy to work with. We highly recommend this house and we hope to return.

A week to unplug and unwind...

A wonderful week away with our family to enjoy the amenities at Laughing Loon. Views of Hancock Pond were breathtaking and we spent our days on the water and evenings by the fire pit. The beautiful home has Internet, dishwasher and air conditioning with a renovated and modern kitchen.

Relaxing and Beautiful

The Laughing Loon is a very special and comfy place to stay with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Comfy beds and a well stocked kitchen are wonderful. Rebecca and Bill are super sweet and helpful hosts who really want you to enjoy your time. We loved the new renovation and firepit! Well done! Even enjoyed fishing off the dock. We will definitely plan to be back for our 3rd visit. 5 stars!!

As comfortable as it was beautiful.

My husband, son, daughter-in-law, 7mth old grandson and myself had a wonderful stay in this beautiful Lakehouse. My husband was thrilled to catch 2 brown trout, and we both enjoyed some wonderful kayaking. We appreciated the outstanding cleanliness, and how well appointed the kitchen was. Highly recommend Beth's Kitchen in Bridgeton for a great lunch. Also, highly recommend this lakehouse. We hope to return.

Just the 2 of us for a week

We had a wonderful time at Rebecca and Bill's home they meet us on our first day went over everything we needed to know regarding the house. The house had everything we may have needed and more. Rebecca Told us some good spots to explore in the area. we relaxed, kayaked, went on long walks. One of our favorite spots in the house was sitting at the picture window looking out on the water. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Laughing Loon good for body, mind and soul Eddie and Beth

Great stay with our kids and grandkids! We are already talking about returning next year.

We had a great time at Laughing Loon with our son and daughter-in-law and our two grandkids. It was our first time in the area and we thoroughly enjoyed it. There are some great hiking trails nearby, we enjoyed our excursions into Bridgton and Portland, we played a fun golf course in Bridgton and we especially loved being on Hancock Pond which was very quiet during the week. The grandkids had fun with the paddle boat and the single kayak. But the canoe was in need of some TLC, so we rented a two-person kayak from Sebago Kayak Company which worked great; it was inexpensive, came with life jackets and was a perfect way to explore the lake and the beach across the pond. The layout was perfect for the 6 of us; we especially enjoyed the porch, and ate all of our meals out there . And the beds were very comfortable. The house is quite well equipped, although some of the appliances and utensils are older (if you are a foodie you may want to bring a couple of good knives). As you probably realized from the pictures there is no dishwasher, so you might want to bring paper plates. We made good use of the grill which is very new, and having air conditioning during the hot spell (several days were 90+) was a godsend. Rebecca, your owner/hostess, lives right next door and she is great -- very welcoming and very helpful.

Amazing Lake Home on Hancock Pond and Beyond Amazing, Caring and Attentive Owner

Where do I begin?? Rebecca is the sweetest owner and allowed my father and I to have a special visit at her beautiful property for him to be "with" my mom on their 53rd wedding anniversary. I say "with" because he scattered her ashes on Hancock Pond a few years ago and misses her so! I contacted Rebecca to explain my plan for him to be there...to have a beautiful, private place to really just be with her and talk to her privately where her ashes and spirit lay in beautiful Maine. Rebecca made sure everything was attended to and was nearby for anything we needed. The home and views are worth any trip...we came from Alabama. I would recommend this place to anyone! Rebecca even had fresh picked Maine blueberries in the refrigerator for us and were delicious in our breakfast pancakes I made. It was such a special touch. If you want beauty, views, enjoyment of the lake (Pond) or like to hike and enjoy nature...tjis is your spot. It sleeps so many without feeling crowded and has a great screened in porch to sit and enjoy your coffee looking at the water. The Laughing Loon is awesome! ** I would only request adding a Keurig machine because I drink regular and dad drinks decaffeinated due to his heart rhythm issues. Just easier with a Keurig to not have to make 2 pots and one of us wait....that was me of course. 😉

Beautifully relaxing

Laughing Loon is perfectly situated on beautiful Hancock Pond. It feels tucked away from everything except trees and water. A great place to unwind.

Perfect home in the Lake Region

We really enjoyed our stay at the Laughing Loon! The home is beautiful and very clean and well-stocked. Rebecca was also a helpful and thoughtful host. Hancock Pond is a gorgeous and peaceful lake so if you are looking for a more remote, quiet location this home is for you! The town of Bridgton is nearby (20 min) and is a very cute and quaint town. We also took day trips to Portland and Kennebunkport and they are just an hour way so the location was really ideal for us. We hope to return someday to the Laughing Loon! And added bonus was kayaking on the lake and seeing loons close by!

Beautiful home on a beautiful lake

We had a wonderful time celebrating my mom‘s 80th birthday at this gorgeous lake house. We used the kayaks and canoes multiple times, roasted s’mores, and sang songs around the fire pit, and cooked some delicious meals in the well appointed kitchen. The lovely owner was super welcoming and very helpful with all questions. I highly recommend this house for a wonderful retreat.

Such a great time!

Thanks to Rebecca and Bill! A wonderful visit at a beautiful home/location. The foliage was at its peak, Fryburg Fair was so fun, restaurants where great(lobster, clams, haddock, pizza and Italians!). Kayaking, reuniting with family and friends, fire pit, and and just setting at the large bay window viewing the view was absolutely magical. We travel a lot and this home was a 5 out of 5!

Our family has been vacationing and making memories here for over 25 years. This is our second property on Hancock Pond - our little slice of paradise.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Laughing Loon is adjacent to our own vacation home on Hancock Pond. We purchased it in 2016 in order to accommodate our growing extended family reunions. In 2016 and 2017, we extensively renovated the house with fresh paint, new floors throughout, new lighting, new grill, new drilled well access, new state of the art heat pump system for heating and AC, new furniture and mattresses, new dock stairs and waterfront restoration, and new TV/internet access. In 2019, we continued our renovation with the addition of a new living room and kitchen, more skylights and a cedar entry closet.
We are proud to welcome our own family here and believe that you will be delighted as well.
