The cabin was absolutely perfect for our family of four. It was clean, had enough space for all of us and just a short walk to the lake. We enjoyed our time on the lake fishing and paddling. Bridgton has so much to offer - museums, parks, shopping and good eats. If we make it back to Long Lake, this cabin would be our first choice.
Beautiful lake house! Clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed. We loved mornings on the deck, afternoons kayaking, and evenings by the fire pit. Peaceful setting but close to townâperfect getaway. Weâd definitely stay again!
We left morning of day 3 even though we rented it for 7. The house doesnât cool off at all on summer days. We knew this house had no air conditioning but did not know it gets so hot inside and doesnât cool down to anything near comfortable. We told owner within 15 hours of this problem and he said to close the windows and pull the shades first thing in the morning. We did that for 2 days and it did not help at all. The ceiling fans in the bedroom are small and barely provide any relief. We put box fans in the windows and slider to try and blow the hot air out but again the house stayed 86/87 degrees for 12 hours a day. Thatâs so unhealthy for any human or animal.Itâs in a wooded area so even with it 88/90 degrees outside, it should have cooled off enough to allow us to be comfortable. We didnât expect it to be cool but at least liveable. The dumpster was overflowing with trash and owner told us it hadnât been emptied in 4 weeks. We couldnât open our bedroom windows due to the rotting trash odor. Boys couldnât play basketball (as they advertise) for the same reason. Beware that the pictures are deceiving - the house is set back behind 2 other houses and a dirt road. Itâs a right of way to the lake NOT âon a lakeâ as the description says. Owner gave us permission to bring our small dog and then said she âwas surprisedâ we brought him but I have the text. Owner said we only said 1 person was renting it but I have those messages too. They just donât want to refund a 1/2 week.
The property felt secluded even though there were neighboring homes nearby. It was quiet and peaceful, lending itself to a very relaxing stay. The home was clean and well maintained and had everything needed for an enjoyable time. The welcome package was detailed and offered lots of information regarding the surrounding area. The beachfront was clean and the lake, beautiful.
Cute lake cabin situated on the lake .
We came for the Fryeburg Fair and only for the weekend . Unfortunately was not able to enjoy the area but will hit Bridgeton downtown on the way home . Everything was great . I would only prefer a noon check out not 10:00am thatâs it đ
We had a delightful and relaxing stay at this charming cottage, which truly captures the essence of lakeside tranquility. I highly recommend this hidden gem for family getaways. The fire pit next to the horseshoe game, set against a sandy backdrop, provides a perfect setting for quality family time.
Although we didnât use any of the attractionsâlake, shopping in the cute town of Bridgton, it would have been fun. We were up for our grandsonâs wedding. The one suggestion we would make is for the owners to add a dishwasher. Since the tenants are asked to clean, strip beds, etc (despite a hefty cleaning fee that is charged), it would be helpful if there was a dishwasher. Fortunately we only had a couple of glasses a cups to handwash. The owners were vert pleasant and allowed us to check in early. We would recommend this house to others!
Spent the weekend for a father son getaway. Water access from the house was great. Really quick ride (< 5 mins) to downtown Bridgeton so we could pop down to a restaurant or bar. Maureen and Bill were friendly, welcoming and gracious hosts. Would stay here again, it was everything we were looking for.
The house was nice for the seven of us and the location on the lake was fantastic. It is nestled in the woods but just a mile walk to a grocery store and downtown area.
The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Furnished simply and clean. Hosts were helpful, hospitable, and friendly. Nice to have view of the lake from the house and the dock was perfect for our boat. Thank you!
Everything from the initial booking was perfect! The owners communicated with me right from the start answering lots of questions i had about water access, boat mooring etc. This house was absolutely perfect for our group of 6!! Plus 2 on a night my parents came to visit! There is a short 200ft walk to a private sandy beach only shared with the property owners. The house was clean and well equipped. You dont need to bring anything. It was nice to have a private bathroom away from all the kids. The cove the house is on is super quiet and close enough to a sandbar you can easily kayak to it. We had an incredible stay and have already booked it for next year! Cant wait to get back! Thanks from Travis, Stephanie and all our kids!!!
Everything was as advertised. The house was clean and welcoming when we arrived. Perfect small beach and dock area where my kids loved swimming and catching fish.
Maureen & Bill were helpful with info about the lake and the area. This place is a 5 min drive from downtown Bridgton which made it easy to get groceries, go to Rennys and there are several good restaurants close by as well.
Definitely a prime family vacation spot!
My family and I were all pleasantly surprised by this cute and cozy cabin. We enjoyed the open kitchen and gathering in the living room together. Even with 7 adults, there was ample room for all. Maureen and Bill are such friendly hosts and easy to communicate with. We had a few requests about our stay and questions about the kayaks out back and they always responded graciously and quickly. The house was also a short drive to the Fryeburg Fair. Peace, quiet, and beautiful lake views...one couldn't ask for more!
We really love this vacation rental. It is clean, comfortable and peaceful. The kitchen is well equipped. It is convenient to Bridgton, too. I love having my morning coffee on the dock , watching the wildlife. Pondicherry park is nice for a walk, we hiked Bald Pate and Hawk mountains. Would highly recommend!
The house is very representative of the pictures. The house is not directly on the lake but set back a bit. You have to walk down a path to get to the water. The hosts supplied fishing rods which the kids loved. Access to kayaks and paddle boards as well! Bridgton is a VERY small town. Food options are minimal so come prepared. Chatted with Bill a few times. He was a very good (and funny) host! I would recommend staying at the lake house!
Bill and Maureen are excellent hosts. The property is as advertised and more. The location is great. The hosts are very accommodating and the finishes are what you would expect in your own home. Things that we needed were readily available and even things we forgot to bring were available for use. The location itself is A+++. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Bill and Maureenâthe home is awesome and we are hoping to rent again next year!
We've been enjoying all that Bridgton has to offer for 22 years. We found this lovely town when we used to camp at Point Sebago and decided to make it our permanent home away from home. Our time on Long Lake has given us so many wonderful family memories. We are hoping that staying at this Cabin will create happy memories and have you coming back again for the "best vacation ever".
This home will allow you the opportunity to relax, play and make wonderful memories in a beautiful setting. The property is family-friendly and features a campfire area, basketball hoop, open field in a small lakeside community. The property is immaculately kept, comfortable and cozy. Located in Bridgton, this home embraces that Bridgton is a place for all seasons. we are steps away from the semi-private beach with a sandy shallow entrance. We are available for rental for the entire ski season. Minutes away from Shawnee Peak , within an hour drive to Sunday River and many New Hampshire ski areas.
This home has recently been completely updated. The cabin is steps away from the beach, on the snowmobile trails, hiking trails, walking distance to Town and all that it has to offer. 10 minutes from Shawnee Peak ski mountain and less than an hour drive to numerous other ski areas. 25 minutes from North Conway, 45 minutes to Portland and Freeport.
