The over-all stay was good. The process to get the home reserved and to get checked in was much to be desired. First, there should be an option to pay for the whole trip upfront. Not two payments on different days. This is just unnecessary and frustrating. I had to make several attempts get the information for the actual unit we were staying in. The communication between VRBO and the customer was very inconsistent, and I had to track down the information to sign the rental agreement and get the door code. VRBO, do better. I only have one thing to say about the home that is not positive, and that is the bathroom tub in the basement backed up and I had to unclog it, which was pretty nasty. I recommend the owners look into that. Overall, the stay itself was meet my expectations. The VRBO side of the experience was sub-par to say the least. I have used other services that facilitate home sharing and had much more positive results. Another issue I had was attempting to get someone via phone. I left a message during "business hours" and by the time I arrived 10 hours later, I had received no response. This is very poor customer service. I eventually had to the call the afterhours line and talked to a lady, who was absolutely fantastic and provided me the information I needed. She was the only positive thing I can say about VRBO itself. If I was asked by someone I knew, if they should use VRBO, I would strongly caution them against it, unless it was their last resort.
