Cute Cottage

Fell in love with the house as soon as we walked in. Loved how close it was to the small all surrounding towns. Drove down the street to a hidden gem called Gruene and immediately fell in love with the lively vintage town. Walked up and down its streets and had the best time. We also liked how close it was to the Guadalupe and Comal river

Peaceful and tranquil

We had 6 adults stay pretty comfortably. Our favorite part was the canopy of trees that covered the outdoor seating area! It was quiet and with heat advisories we were completely shaded. The hosts were accommodating and kind! I recommend this venue.

Greatest weekend ever

Scott and Pam were amazing. The cabin was the greatest in appearance, cleaness, location, and comfort. My friend and I shared the weekend with our 2 daughters. We enjoyed all the recommendations for dining, tubing, and shopping that Scott and Pam gave us. They were so great to visit with and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back to enjoy again.

Perfect for what we needed.

Property had everything we needed. Patio area was very nice. Lots of towels for 4 people. Good seating in living room. Close to Rockin R tube rental, Gruene and Schlitterbahn. We did it all!

Quaint little cabin

Perfect location for access to the Guadalupe River. Rockin R is right down the road, along with restaurants and shops. Perfect for groups of up to 6 adults. Great communication with the owners/management. We had a wonderful girls trip! Thanks for having us for the weekend. We will be back!

Gruene gem

The house was just so cute and we loved the special touches of antiques. The fireplace was stunning. Would loves to use it in the winter. It was so hot though so wish there would have been a pool. We had a blast and can’t wait to go back! Pam made check in a breeze.

Cozy retreat

Excellent location. Can walk to RR tubing. May need to drive to town. We stayed in the rustic home. Lots of neat antiques. Short shower head. We had a comfortable stay. 2 queen beds and a roll out bed in the closet. Nice sitting area outside. Very quiet. Deer in site. Would definitely stay again.

Weekend getaway

I’m coming at this as objectively as possible because the owners were extremely sweet but we didn’t have the best experience during our weekend getaway. When we arrived to the rental property, there were cars (not from other renters) located through the property and other items scattered throughout their yard. Check in was extremely easy. We went in signed some agreements and got our key. The house was a cute cottage style home that seemed fitting for the Gruene area. We were only about half a mile from all the Gruene shops too. That evening that we checked in, we went into town and grabbed some food before heading back out again. We left one plate in the sink and by the time we came back to the house a few hours later ants were covering the entire plate. The ants pretty much consumed our whole stay after that. The owners had a spray in the house that we used to get rid of them. We washed the plate cleared everything up but then the next morning swarms of ants were making trails from the kitchen window to the trash can. Again we used the spray and cleaned up dozens of ants from the counter top,trash can and floor. We continued this our whole stay. They said they sprayed before and would spray again. They were apologetic. I also knew wifi would be spotty in this area but had trouble with the password being incorrect our entire stay. We finally gave up trying at all. Overall it wasn’t an awful stay, but would have been much more enjoyable and relaxing without the ant problem.

Felicity, Again, we apologize for the ants, the cabin was just sprayed by a license exterminating company that came the Tuesday before. They were called again and return on the next Tuesday after your departure. As for internet, it is on our listing, we do not offer internet in our cabins or guarantee one could pick up internet. For parking, you had your designated own parking area as each house/cabin has their own as well. For some building materials that was on the property, we just had some updates on the rental house and cabin done and still in the process of updating. The building material that left was not near or on your your rental property. We tried to keep it on the other side of the property and out is sight as best as possible until it was picked up. You did not informed us of the building material had bothered you. We could have tried to remedy this as best we could have, if we had known We are happy that after we called and inform you of items, that were left behind, you were able to return after your departure, to come back and pick them up. Again, our apologies

Close to Gruene

Two couples. Property was nice. Enjoyed our stay. Walked down to the river and went swimming. Gruene was about a 10 minute walk. House was nice. Loved sitting outside around the fire pit. The only surprise for us was the house location. In the picture it looks like the house is on a secluded piece of property however its actually in a area that has several rental houses close by along with the main house where you pick up your key. We were the only ones staying there so it was quiet. No complaints. Gentlemen who stayed in the main house who gave us our key was very sweet and we enjoyed talking to him.

Great location, perfect for a weekend getaway to Gruene! We walked to town for a concert and floated the Guadalupe River. So much fun, highly recommend!

Relaxing retreat

This property is amazing and so quiet! Loved it, minutes away from gruene, the river, schliterbaun, and a gorgeous park. House was so clean and relaxng. The property manager makes sure you feel at home. They are AMAZING! They're deer everywhere! We will be back!!

Cozy getaway spot for girls weekend

Cozy cabin for the 3 of us. Fridge wine opener and coffee pot was all we needed. Close to the river for rafting and downtown for eating and shopping. And yet we were among the trees out in the country. Easy checkin and host was available for questions.

Great getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. The owners were great and the house was clean and well kept. The rental house is very close to down town Gruene but is still private and away from the traffic. We would definitely stay again.

Great fun, location and people

We had a fantastic time during the July 4th, 2021 weekend! The location and cabin were perfect for our needs. I highly recommend staying at this location if you want to be close to all of the activities, shopping, and restaurants that the area has to offer. We will stay here again!
