The house was perfect. Clean and very well appointed. Beds are comfortable. The kids loved the playroom and bunk bed. Located in a quiet neighborhood just a short drive to all the places we wanted to visit. Our stay was very pleasant.

The only issue we had was that the mailbox says 7800 and the address (on the house) says 7805 which is what was on the listing. We passed it a few times before we figured out which house it was. The host let us check in a few hours early which was helpful since we flew in from Chicago. Overall, a very good experience. I would stay here again if I needed a 5 bedroom house.

This is a wonderful place for a family reunion vacation. The house is perfect for kids and adults, in fact the kids wished they could stay forever . The property is in a quiet neighborhood close to Portland making sightseeing easy. We would definitely stay with these great hosts again.

We enjoyed that this house had everything needed and space neede for everyone. We mad Thanksgiving Dinner and found everything needed, tableware and table cloths.Our host sent a very welcoming message. We enjoyed our stay and spending time with family.

Great house for large group

Large, clean house. The host James was very generous, he brought our crew pizza when the power was out. Definitely would stay here again. Great place for larger group.

Perfect location, very comfy, beautiful home

We loved our stay here! Beautiful, clean home with lots of room and comfortable beds. Great location with easy access to all the sights we wanted to visit. The management was very accommodating to our needs and easy to contact. James even hung a swing from the tree in the backyard for our young grandkids, which they thoroughly enjoyed. We would definitely stay here again!!

Very comfortable for family

We really enjoyed our stay . We are a family of 6 adults and 4 kids and we had everything we needed like high chair, pack n play for the toddlers. The host messaged to check if needed anything and was great with communication. Would definitely recommend staying at this property!

Great location and lots of room.

Finding the driveway was a little tricky. The house was large and had a lovely patio. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a kids corner in the downstairs full of books and toys. It is very close to some really great restaurants and so close to shopping or Fred Meyer and Costco. Would stay again!

Excellent and friendly!!!! Easy to get a hold of them. Pictures are an exact match of the place!!!! Beautiful beautiful and will definitely choose them the next time. Comfortable beds/ mattresses. Excellent cutlery. Awesome living area and md TV room. Bathrooms are gorgeous with more than enough towels. Very neat and elegant place to be!!!!!!!

Great home for family vacation

This property was exactly as pictured. Centraly located near highway, restaurants and grocery stores. Very roomy for all 11 of us the beds were comfortable and kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need! Host, James, was amazing. He was very accommodating and tended to all our needs! The only comment that I have is the first 2 days we experienced a heatwave. The bottom was perfectly fine! The two bedrooms on top floor could have used a ceiling fan. Thankfully the weather returned to normal and it was perfect!Would stay here again if we are ever in that area! Thanks James for sharing your lovely home!

Great Home, Great Location

Our family of 9 had a great overall stay at this home! The location was close enough to the sites we visited, with everything within a 15-20 min drive. They had mostly everything we needed, such as a high chair and crib, plenty of towels, etc. Lots of food options and quick kids activities close by also, including a splash pad. There was only enough coffee for the first day, but there were tons of tea options and Wal-Mart close by for groceries. If you're going to have a larger group with multiple cars, just be advised that the driveway is only 1 lane wide, so you will have to coordinate things if you're going to be coming and going separately. We had elderly parents with us and had to plan ahead, since they were only able to use one of the rental cars we had comfortably. It just required some coordination, but not a huge deal. A couple annoyances - the Nest thermostat would go into Eco mode if you're out all day, and the main floor gets warm on a hot day, and it does not cool off quickly in the evening. The bottom floor was nice and cool though. It was hotter than usual during our visit, so this probably doesn't matter during milder months. The remote for the downstairs TV was also finicky and certain arrow buttons wouldn't work, so we had some issues putting on a movie for the kids to unwind in the evenings - would recommend replacing that for future guests!

Thanks for the great tip on the remote. I haven't touched it since installing it, so I'll check it out today. We're also adding a digital video library full of kid movies—think it could be a hit? This July is breaking temperature records again; it's starting to feel like the "new normal." I'm looking into upgraded systems. Thanks for the awesome recommendations!

We had a great stay at James’ Place. We received communication from James well before our trip and the house was well equipped, clean, and very comfortable for our family. The location is perfect for access to I-5 and Hwy 217 and allowed us to get to all areas of Portland easily. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this home for any larger family needing cozy accommodations and easy PDX access.

Great Home Away From Home

Central location near retail shopping and businesses. Perfect for our family--two bedrooms on main level for two couples and private daylight basement downstairs for our son and his family. Our grandsons loved the little playroom with kid-sized furniture and lots of books, puzzles and toys to keep them busy. House well-stocked with ample kitchen equipment, serving ware, name-brand paper and cleaning products, quality bath toiletries, etc. Only issues were the creaking floors upstairs and tall hedges that blocked view when driving out from driveway.. Great communications with James (owner) before, during and after our stay!
