In the middle of NC Smoky Mtns and a 1 mile walk to downtown historic Main Street Waynesville. Beautiful Mountain View from front window. Fenced front and back for up to two small dogs. Comfy and clean 2 bedroom 2 bathroom private single family house with onsite parking.
Sandy and Wayne's cottage is adorable. We absolutely loved our fall holiday at their home. Their home is exceptional in a great location close to everything. We truly appreciate how clean and well-equipped it is. They provided everything we needed and then some. Our fur babies loved the fenced-in area. We also greatly appreciated it. We specially came for leaf peeping but experienced so much more. We were able to walk to downtown Waynesville for the Apple Harvest Festival. While visiting, we also took a short day trip to Bryson City. Our adventures brought us to the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. We were amazed with the views from the train, but our trip did not end there. We also zip-lined with Wildwaterâs Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tours and had a fantastic time. We managed to travel to Oconaluftee Visitor Center and saw our first ever elk. We also traveled on the Blue Ridge Parkway with outstanding views. We genuinely understand why Sandy and Wayne has chosen such a beautiful area to eventually retire to.
I am a native of Waynesville NC and have owned my home there since 1993. I now live part time in Waynesville and part time in SC near Charlotte. My husband and I spend summers camping in the Smoky Mtns and often spend winter weekends in the house. I love sharing this amazing town with guests.
Most neighborhoods in town were built in the 1950âs My home is the same and surrounded by similar single family homes. We look it over town from a nice quiet hillside. The house is in town with all the mountains have to offer at your front door.
Our home has been enjoyed for the comfortable feeling inside and outside. Pet owners love that they can sit outside with their pets in the front as well as in back porch. The view is amazing. You have a perfect view of the Mt Lynn Lowery cross that sits at 6200 ft elevation. Beautiful memorial to a young daughter and the cross is loved by our community.
