My family and I stayed a little over a week ago as part of our journey to the coastal and rainforest side of Olympic National Park. It was a good location in the town of Forks. Easy to get to, no complexities or issues. There were some quirks about the RV - the sink in the kitchenette was odd and sputtered so we didn't use it. We didn't use the shower. There was some electronic box of some sort in the other kitchenette sink. It was not our first choice in accommodations, to be honest, but pricing-wise, it did the trick. We used the RV as a place to lay our heads for the night - not to hang out, so we have no real complaints about our stay.
Good Overall, about what we expected honestly, though a bit busier location with regards to comings and goings of the residents/people who worked there. The Host was great and helpful, check in was super easy.
The host has some serious communication problems, and I will never try to stay here again. We had intended to stay here during a trip to Olympic National Park. The road unfortunately had washed out close to the property and WashDOT closed the road in both directions. To make it to the property, we would have had to drive all the way around the other side of the Olympic Peninsula, which at the time of day, we did not feel safe or comfortable doing. I informed the host right away. He was initially responsive, but when I began to ask about a refund process, he began ignoring my messages. VRBO customer service also tried calling and emailing him multiple times, which he ignored. Yet, he somehow was able to leave me a guest review, while continuing to ignore me. I found this shameful. My communications were polite and respectful. The least he could do was show the very basic amount of human decency to at least respond to me. To date, I have not received a response, despite my and VRBO's multiple efforts. If this is how the host treats basic human interactions, through childish refusal to communicate, then maybe I dodge a bullet by not staying here. To be clear: I did not actually stay at the accommodation, so please do not make any judgements about the physical location, cleanliness etc. of the property.
I needed a place to sleep while touring the peninsula, and this RV allowed that. When I finally figured out how to work the heat, I had a pretty comfortable bed and was warm and dry. The location is actually laughable with the RV in a parking lot full of 18 wheel tractors. The "ambiance" was pretty much -1. Having said that, I read, (not enough wi-fi for streaming and no cable for the TV) and made a sandwich for dinner. All good.
