Peaceful

Our stay was wonderful. It was relaxing and the fishing was good. Caught some blue crab right off the dock along with other fish. Our host was great and she communicated with us efficiently. We will definitely stay here again.

Great trip

Property was amazing for our family trip. Had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Kids fished off the dock, had a night that we grilled out. Stores for anything you needed was less then 5 minutes away, sunwest beach was nice and close. Was a great florida vacation and this house was perfect. Thank you for letting us enjoy your property.

It was awesome, nice view,the kayaks and bikes were cool. My employees enjoyed the stay and would like to visit again in the future. Our host was very helpful and if we needed anything she was there for us. Thank you and look forward to visiting again soon.

Nice location.

We enjoyed our stay and it was nice to relax. It is not a 4 bedroom home though. Only 3. The views of the sun setting were awesome.

Great Stay, Great Location

Stayed for two weeks and the house was fantastic. It had everything you’d need for your stay! The house was very clean and comfy. The smart TV was great so I could keep up on my shows. The kayaks and bikes were a fun bonus that were definitely utilized. The owner was so kind and easy to communicate with. The neighborhood and neighbors were lovely.

Hudson House

When we first walked into the house the air was set down cold, it was great. The inside of the house was very clean and well stocked. The only thing we didn't find was a cheese grater (Not a big deal). The location is on a quiet dead end street close to many great places to eat. I would stay again. The owner was always available to answer any questions.

Relaxing and quiet

We enjoyed our stay. The location is great. It's quiet and beautiful. Sitting outside by the water was the perfect beginning and end to each day. It's 30 minutes to Tarpon Springs and there are many 15-25 min. drives to beaches. It is Florida, on the water, so you will see bugs. One shower was not functional and the gas grill wasn't functional but other than that, it was great.

Great house on the water

This was one of the best places weve ever stayed, especially for the price. Its directly on a canal that was full of catfish, mullet, pinfish and snook. We caught plenty quickly with the kids and were able to relax under the gazebo in the shade. Rooms upstairs have a lower ceiling, but fine for adults and especially kids. The home was well furnished and had fishing poles, a kayak with life vests, condiments board games and more. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit family.

Tranquility

We had a wonderful stay here for Memorial Day weekend. The place was very clean, smelled wonderful and had a great backyard with canal and dock. There were fishing poles to fish, Kayaks, and Bikes. The only negative I would say is that the beds are like sleeping on plywood. My 76-year-old father and I had to sleep on the couches for our visit. Other than that, it was an amazing place to stay and a great trip. I would stay again.

Winter 2021

We stayed at this property for 90 nights and had plenty of room to spread out with my office, my husbands office and the many guests that came to visit us. All the beds were comfortable and the linens very nice. The backyard we enjoyed the most in the morning having coffee and in the evening during cocktail time. The birds were so entertaining from the herons to the peacocks.; we also enjoyed a few visits from dolphins and manatee. We have a great video of a dolphin visit while our granddaughter was there - it really was a magical experience that we were able to capture on our phones. Fishing off the floating dock was a hoot and we even caught some blue crabs. The view across the canal is very pleasing and the neighborhood is friendly and nice. We took advantage of the kayaks and went to Hudson Bay and Weeki Wachee Springs (our favorite place to kayak and saw so many manatee). We also ventured to Hernando Beach area and enjoyed exploring that area too. The location of the house is perfect for day trips to the Clearwater and Tampa area. The owners were so easy to communicate with and very attentive to any problem that arose. I would highly recommend this house if you are not looking for a 5 star accommodation. The price point allows you a large house, super location and a wonderful backyard. We loved staying here.

50th anniversary stay

Lots of things that were advertised were not there. Outside and tiki shower were very unkept. Also deck was collapsing. Told owner and he said it would be fixed. We were there for 1 month and no one fixed it. Screen was missing on gazebo. Pictures on the ad looked like old ones. No pet door for the dogs to use or fenced in yard. First aid kit was empty, no laundry soap, furniture was dirty, vacumn did not work, one shower head did not work properly(no hot water), hot water in kitchen was only warm, cupboards had old, opened food, had a few cockroaches, no spectrum tv or DVD player, no popcorn popper, very few cleaning products and towels. Pans were dirty and no items to use for baking in the oven. Upstairs bathroom had a bad odor, air conditioner units filters were never cleaned. Outside grill was filthy and full of grease. Parrot room had a strong dog odor. Closets and cabinets had lots of items just thrown in them. They were a mess. We were very disappointed in the rental. Would not rent again or recommend it. The property is rundown needs a deep cleaning and freshening up.

It’s a shame that you had this much negative on our property as we know this is a not a new home and we provide much more then a lot of others do and are proud of how many others really enjoy the home and what we provide. The deck was repaired after you left because my husband did not want to disturb you during your stay. The gazebo is not the one pictured as the other one was taken away by a storm and we built this one to provide shade and is much sturdier. Perhaps you should have just booked a hotel instead and then you may appreciate more of what amenities not provided and more appreciative of what we have offered to so many in this home.

The home was wonderful, with everything needed for a weekend or a longer stay. There is plenty of room for family, and if you are visiting friends, them to come gather, as well.

December getaway

The location is an easy paddle from the Gulf waters and about halfway between the locations we wanted to visit - St Pete/Clearwater and Crystal River/Weekiwatchee Preserve. Connie was super responsive to our questions and needs. An excellent stay.

Friends reunion

I like this property, it has the canal in the back of the house you can do fishing ,kayaking And barbecue is offered by the house owners. It is So convenient to the shopping . We have a lot of fun I recommend property owners is very nice.

My husband and I have lived on the water in Hudson since 1994 and we only live minutes from the waterfront cottage! We are both pilots and I am an active realtor for the last 15 years!! Sharing this home as was our first home when we moved from Ohio as we have many fond memories with our family and the wonderful fun filled days enjoying the boating, fishing and swimming!!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We love this area and the quiet quaintness of this neighborhood with occasional visits from Dolphins & Manatees in the canal and the great fishing! The easy access to beaches, shopping, sightseeing, Tampa! We purchased the home in 1994 and sold in 2005. We re-purchased in 2011 as the opportunity came up! We have such fond memories of this home with family memories and great neighbors!! We want to share this so others can enjoy as that the home does sleep 9 with an added air mattress for 10! Pets are welcome upon approval as we always had our fur babies and spent every summer in the keys and looked long and hard to find accommodations that would accept our 2 fur babies! We hope that all the guests love and enjoy their stay with us and create great memories also!!
