Tranquil Amish-built cabin near Wildcat State Park

So excited and happy to hear you loved our cabin! Rest assured we have a spatula up there now! I’m so sorry about the ladybugs, they were super crazy this year. We couldn’t figure out how they were getting in. My husband did some extra caulking and we sprayed a natural essential oil spray on the baseboards and that has helped tremendously. We appreciate your feedback!

I truly apologize for the noise and inconvenience you experienced. We usually plan not to be doing those kinds of things when guests are here. We had some extenuating circumstances that, in hind sight, I realize I should have communicated to you so we could figure out how we could best navigate them around your stay. We were hosting our youngest daughter’s graduation party the following weekend and, unfortunately, had many trees come down in several storms that needed to be cleared. The day we were originally doing it, the chainsaw broke. Our son offered to come and help my husband with it once the chainsaw was fixed and the only day he had open was, unfortunately, that Sunday. One of our older daughters also offered, unexpectedly, to come and help get things ready because we were running behind due to one of our dogs requiring an emergency surgery. It’s true, you can see our house from the cabin, sadly, we had trees come down that used to block the view from the cabin to our house. We have planted more trees to create more privacy, and are brainstorming on how we can do more of that as these trees grow. We added a back deck for more privacy and we curated the courtyard to offer a very private space. We cannot see the back deck or the courtyard from our house. I sure wish I knew that you were feeling that way while you were here, we really do try to be as accommodating as possible.
