Get away to a cozy, remote Amish-built cabin in Wisconsin's Driftless area, where rustic craftsmanship meets serene natural beauty. Nestled at the end of a peaceful dead-end road, this delightful retreat features a courtyard made from the foundation of a 150 year old barn, adding a touch of history to your stay. Expansive windows bring the outdoors in, letting you feel immersed in nature while enjoying modern comfort. Just a stone's throw away from Wildcat Mountain State Park, canoeing at the Kickapoo River, the famous Elroy-Sparta bike trail, the Kickapoo Valley Reserve and Amish stores and bakeries. This cabin is for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy the beauty of the Driftless Area.
We loved our time at this cabin!! Perfect for our needs and very well kept and great layout! Only critique... we wanted to flip our pancakes, but the kitchen was missing a spatula and this time of year it's tough to battle nature, but a few less ladybugs inside would have been perfect.
Enjoyed our stay in this quiet, comfortable cabin! Loved to look out the windows at the beautiful wildflowers, birds, and landscaping. The many windows brought in natural light and created a wonderful feeling of ambiance! The front porch and back deck added to this feeling along with the hand made wooden benches on the porch and the handmade kitchen table. The bed in the loft was very comfortable, had an extremely soft, cozy blanket which helped us sleep so soundly! The air conditioning worked well which is an added bonus when itâs hot/humid outside. We hiked at the Kickapoo Nature Reserve, had a tasty dinner at Hillsboro Brewery and enjoyed the courtyard with a fire pit afterwards. The stars were amazing and I even saw a shooting star! I highly recommend this little piece of heaven in Ontario, WI.
