Si vous voulez simplement ralentir et vous détendre, le pont est un bon endroit pour s'asseoir et regarder le coucher du soleil. Vous pouvez marcher sur des sentiers tondus sur la propriété et profiter de la nature. Vous pouvez voir des dindes de cerfs ou un certain nombre d'autres animaux. Vous pouvez cueillir des mûres sauvages en saison. Vous pouvez vous asseoir sur le pont et regarder les agriculteurs amish travailler dans les champs. Ayez un barbecue avec le gril à gaz, puis asseyez-vous autour d'un feu de camp et regardez les étoiles. Si vous restez pendant les mois d'hiver, vous pouvez utiliser les traßneaux fournis sur la colline derriÚre la maison, ou si vous avez des skis à emporter. En automne, lorsque les arbres changent de couleur, c'est le moment idéal pour profiter de Hill Country Haven.


Attractions locales: Nous sommes situĂ©s Ă  distance de conduite facile de nombreuses attractions. Il y a trois lacs locaux pour la navigation de plaisance ou la pĂȘche. Il y a des ruisseaux pour la pĂȘche Ă  la truite ou le canoĂ«. Nous sommes Ă  trois milles de terres de chasse publiques. Les pistes cyclables d'État partent Ă  sept milles de distance. Les sentiers publics de motoneige commencent dans un demi-mille. Il y a des terrains de golf, des thĂ©Ăątres, un thĂ©Ăątre de drive-in, des marchĂ©s de producteurs, (en saison) et des antiquaires. Nous sommes Ă  distance de conduite facile de Wisconsin Dells avec tous les parcs aquatiques, parcs d'attractions et excursions en bateau. Le casino Ho Chunk est Ă©galement un lecteur facile.

Camping: Nous avons également de l'eau et des raccords électriques pour une unité de camping à 30 $ par nuit si vous restez et avez des amis avec un camping-car.

Had a wonderful time the days that we were here. Beautiful countryside. Loved all the room we had to roam around the property. We enjoyed the walking trails and so did my dogs. I would move here in a heart beat.

Once again, a Driftless stay in a Driftless gem! There’s some Amish builds going on in the neighborhood 
 combined with haying it was a busy street for horse & buggies this time!

This was our second stay at Hill Country Haven. It’s the perfect place for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, looking for a place where you can slow the pace, enjoy nature and the wonders of clean air and a star filled night sky. The view from the bedroom is awe-inspiring. The house has everything we might need and is impeccably clean. What more could you ask for.

We absolutely love this property. Clean, spacious, full kitchen, good A/C, and best of all...quiet! About 45 to 50 minutes from the Dells, so you can get there easily enough. Everything about the listing is accurate. 5 stars!

Amazing location with lots of charm

My SO and I stayed the weekend went biking and saw a concert at the nearby driftless music garden. We also had an excellent dinner at the Hillsboro brewery super close to all three. The house was immaculate and so cozy.

Peace and quiet

This was our second time at the property. We brought our dog and enjoyed the trails on the farm each day. It's quiet and peaceful - just what we needed! The location is close to hiking and kayaking too.

Breathtaking

I had so many plans for visiting the area until we pulled up to the property. I swear at that moment all plans were canceled as I was in awe of the view. All of the hustle and bustle of day to day melted away and life was simple in the best way possible. The house reminded me of my grandparents home which made it even better. You hear roosters, cows, birds, and if you are lucky to be there Sunday morning; the Amish community singing at their mass. You won’t be able to make out what they are saying but it sounds joyful and peaceful. It reflects the serenity and awe the property provides. Our dog thought that we had the greatest back yard ever! He wasn’t to thrilled to leave either. You may need to drive a bit here or there, which allows you to enjoy the beautiful landscape even more.

Another great stay

We have stayed at Hill Country Haven multiple times and always have a great stay. The house is clean and comfortable and the outdoor space and views are peaceful and relaxing. Loren and Denise make check in and check out super easy. We look forward to returning again in the future!

Great rural getaway

Wonderful home with everything you would need for a getaway from the rat race. The house was very clean and well organized. It was nice being centrally located to the Sparta-Elroy and the 400 state bike trails. We enjoyed seeing the sheep and goats.

Driftless Dreams

What a wonderful place to slow down and enjoy the natural beauty and peacefulness of the Driftless Area. The home had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. The bedroom views - particularly of the night sky - were remarkable. We were particularly pleased that we could bring our dog and he seemed to enjoy laying on the deck and observing the surroundings and walking the trails as much as we did. It was also great to stop by local farms to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables . We hope to return next year!

Disconnected Perfection

Beautiful cabin vibes and hillside views! We watched the local Amish tending the field and enjoyed a late night lightning storm. A great escape with board games and card games and laughter and great memories disconnected from the rest of the world. No cell service was my favorite part.

Exactly what we were looking for.

The property is beautiful and very picturesque scenery. Very relaxing. Hillsboro downtown just a 10 minute drive. Cell signal is limited but helped us disconnect from the regular use. We had clear weather and nighttime bond fire was a great time under the bright stars. Will come back.

Amish Country Beautiful Getaway!

This older farmhouse rental is in Amish Country and takes you back to a slower less stressful place. The surrounding area is so wonderful and a great stay for sure!!

Country Retreat

Property was very nice and as advertised. Scenic. Throwback to days of yesteryear with the Amish working their fields nearby. Fire pit was awesome. Very comfortable stay and owners were great. Highly recommend if you are looking to unplug and recharge. Throwback

Fantastic little farmhouse in the hills of Amish country

This is a great little farmhouse up in the hills (about 1150 ft elevation) that was perfect for our family of 4 + out dog. Lots and lots of Amish folks in horse/buggy combos going back and forth on the road. We counted 30 or 40 buggies that went buy during our 3-night stay. Watch out for horse poop on the roads. :) First thing I want to mention: we were there in July and there were NO MOSQUITOS. I don't know how that's possible, maybe being way up in the hills with a lot of open/non-forested land. But that was incredible. The large kitchen has a 4-person table, microwave, electric range/oven, electric pizza oven, coffee maker, fridge/freezer. The "family room" has a 3-cushion sofa (one of which reclines), another 3-cushion sofa that folds out into a queen bed (standard not-great sofabed mattress), 2 upholstered chairs, and a TV. TV has satellite so you're able to watch a fair number of channels. The huge bedroom (add-on) has a king-size bed, a closet, and a chifferobe. The bathroom has a "regular" bathtub/shower combo, a toliet, and a sink. There is independent heating/cooling in each of the three rooms: combo AC/heater in the bedroom, a window AC unit + electric heater in the family room, and a window AC unit + electric heater in the kitchen. The deck has a smallish propane grill that is in good repair, as well as a wood picnic table. About 20 feet away is a fire-pit area (on an elevated concrete slab) that the owners keep stocked with firewood .
