This special space is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. Part of an Iconic 1860âs Georgian Town House street scape in the historic Old South District. (One of the most photographed historic street scapes in Canada seen in publications featuring Halifax). Steps away from the waterfront board walk, shops, markets and some of the best dinning experiences in the city, the location cant be beat. Large south facing windows give great street views and a bright sunny space.
Property requires some upkeep and work, bathroom in particular; shower curtain rod is duck taped together and help up by a chain that is screwed into the wall, with the screw falling out. We stayed there 3 days and only 1 1/2 rolls of toilet paper supplied.Unfortunately the location is on a major truck route that commences at 6:30am with transport trucks rumbling by with containers headed for the port. Directly outside the living room window is an LED white street light, that shines directly into the bedroom and the bed - room darkening shades would probably help.
We really enjoyed our stay. We loved the proximity to the harbour and restaurants. Lane was very responsive the one time we had a question. There was no corkscrew or dish towel (we left one), which is just an fyi if you want to enjoy a bottle of wine or use some dishes. No need lose stars for that.
We had a great stay. Well appointed apartment in an amazing location. Tristan and Lane were very quick to respond to any questions that we had. We would definitely book with them again.
