Beautiful spot on the lake

Stayed over July 4th weekend to visit family & enjoyed staying here. Traveling with our dogs & they loved the backyard.Beautiful view of the lake.

We really enjoyed our stay at Becky’s and John’s property. The house was very clean and had great view of the lake. The boat house made it very convenient to park my boat. They were great host and would definitely stay there again. Would highly recommend this property if you are planning a trip to Lake Darbonne!

This place was clean, right on the water! Had all the amenities you would want being on the lake! Communication was great! I highly recommend booking this place! We hope we can someday come back! Thanks for having us!

Quiet get away

Very quiet secluded spot. Very clean and roomy lake house. Great fenced in back yard for dogs. Loved the dock and quiet lake for swimming and kayaks for the teens. Loved our stay. Only down sides is it's a bit of a curvey long drive out, no stores close by and can't put in a boat close by. Also, bring ypur own hair dryer

We're so glad you enjoyed your stay Michelle. You are correct that the public boat launch is not very close, however we have access to a private boat ramp approx. 100 yds from the house. I checked our correspondence before booking and I was never told you were bringing a boat. If I had known, I would've certainly told you. There are also hair dryers in both bathroom cabinets still in the box. Maybe that's why you didn't notice them. We hope you'll come back and visit The Pelican's Roost again sometime!!

Such a great stay!

Becky was an excellent host! The house was not far from town and the boat dock was on a great location on the lake. It was so nice having a boat slip so that we could go out on the boat whenever we wanted. The house had everything we needed and the neighbors we super nice as well! We are already planning more trips to this location! Thank you so much Becky!!

Magical Weekend

I booked the home for me and my husband for our anniversary. The pictures of the property are amazing, but nothing can capture the magical feeling of being surrounded by the gorgeous water views inside and outside of the house.Every item in and outside of the house felt luxurious. It was well worth the price. I hope we have the opportunity to stay again and again.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about Pelican’s Roost Lakehouse. The hosts have thought about every detail to make you feel comfortable and welcome, down to the binoculars by the big picture window to get a closer look at the lake and the amazing birds. The house was immaculate and beautifully renovated, furnished, and decorated. They even have motion activated lights in the bathroom so you don’t have to turn on any bright lights at night. The bed was so comfortable. The boathouse was perfect for my morning yoga! Peaceful, shaded, and views to revisit in my dreams. The grill turned out perfect steaks to enjoy on the back porch. Thanks to John and Becky for a job well done! You understand the assignment.

This lake house was just as described. Clean, plenty of room, well stocked, and great view. 10/10 recommendation. We were able to bring our boat and use the boat lift, fish and relax. Plenty of room for parking multiple vehicles and well as boat trailer.
