Located in our beautiful college town, this 2-bedroom apartment has 1 bedroom with a queen bed and the second bedroom with 2 full beds, where guests can relax in comfort after a day exploring the waterfalls, wineries, or downtown restaurants. Our restful, art-infused suite is perfect for relaxing between exploring! After walking to The Commons, where the best restaurants and people-watching happen, or exploring the many waterfalls, lakes, gorges (Ithaca is Gorges!), or hiking trails. Or a movie at Cinemapolis or Cornell Cinema. The breathtaking beauty of the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art or in one of our many galleries! You are never far from anything of interest to the mind, body, or spirit when you stay on State Street. Enjoy our free parking and walk to downtown! Also, a shared picnic area and green space are available for your enjoyment in warm weather.

We live on the premises but respect your privacy. The Suite comprises the front of the house with a separate entrance (4 stairs) for your use only. The Suite is one floor for ease of movement, with no stairs inside the unit. This is a totally private and separate unit.

This was a great place for exploring Ithaca. We loved being able to walk to the Commons. It was clean and comfortable. We also loved the easy off street parking. The kitchenette is small and it would be hard to cook anything but we didn't need that because we wanted to enjoy what Ithaca has to offer. Would definitely stay here again!

What a nice place to stay! It’s a full two bedrooms, and one of the bedrooms has two full size beds separated by a curtain. The other bedroom is fully private. The one bathroom is clean and comfortable. Don’t expect much in the way of kitchen facilities: there’s a dorm-sized fridge with small freezer compartment, and a microwave. The coffee maker is a Keurig type and they provide a small supply of coffee pods. But downtown Ithaca, namely the Commons, is about a 10 minute walk away, so very convenient. In all, this is a fine spot for a stay in beautiful Ithaca and the Finger Lakes.

Very convenient location. Walking distance to the Commons and plenty of places to eat/drink. Owner was very accommodating and easy to communicate with.

Perfect for a weekend getaway

Perfect apartment for a quick stay. We only ate breakfast in the unit and it was ideal for that. Great coffee! Nice location and it was easy to get around from there. The owners definitely paid attention to detail and the place was very clean.

Perfect location nestled at the end of Cornell's South Campus (what we used to call College Town) making for an easy walk both up to campus, as well as down to the Commons for great restaurants & shopping.Mercifully air conditioned which was vital to battle the high humidity during our early July visit.Beautifully renovated bathroom and modern kitchenette made for a comfortable stay. There is a microwave, and an induction burner is great to heat up water, and a small fridge for chilling a small batch of groceries if you want to chill some groceries. Don't plan on doing any more ambitious cooking as it's not really meant/equipped for that...but with so many great restos a short walk away, it's not a problem.We will definitely go back, thank you Elizabeth!

Wedding Weekend

We were in Ithaca for a family wedding. The location was perfect, close to downtown and easy to get around. The unit was spotless and comfortable for the 3 so us. Highly recommend.

We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend this as a perfect little getaway location in Ithaca! the space was roomy, comfortable and sparkling clean. The beds were comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. We didn't do much cooking, but the kitchen was well stocked if we needed anything. The hosts were very responsive and easy to communicate with, and the location is super convenient to the Commons. We will definitely be back!

It was a nice place to stay. Kids had two beds in their room with a lot of space. The Master bedroom is tight, but we were only in there to sleep. Overall, it is the perfect place to stay in Ithaca. We were only there in between hikes and dinner and back to shower before bed. The book of suggestions and the coffee... it might just be the little things that made this place perfect for our trip.

We had a pleasant stay and loved the deco and thoughtful amenities.Location is close to downtown and universities. But the traffic noise was substantial and woke me up as early as 5am.The kitchenette does not have a permanent range and has no vent. A small fridge. So we did only light microwave cooking.

Charming indeed!

This property was as described in the listing, charming, near the commons, ample parking, clean, inviting, cozy (but not in a small way). The property manager was attentive via messenger but we never saw anyone - so we had communication if needed but had nothing but privacy the entire stay. It says two bedrooms but it felt like 3 the way the second bedroom is laid out, with each teenager having their own space, which helps, believe me. The location is central to everything and check-in was seamless and easy. Book it and enjoy.

Spent a week in Ithaca over the 4th of July holiday to get out of southern heat. This place is perfect for a family who needs separate rooms (myself, partner, 14 y/o). Gracious hosts, clean bathroom, a variety of games, good views (with good curtains!), and proximity to hiking and downtown. The house is situated near the top of a hill, so a long day out concludes with a bit of uphill walking, which the child made a point of declaring every night after dinner. Me, I like uphill after a big dinner. So. Great base of operations if you’re exploring the Finger Lakes.

Incredible location on State Street, a very easy walk to the commons. Keypad entry, so no physical keys to keep track of. The unit is a well maintained private suite within a larger home. Newly updated bathroom in unit. Shower stall, no bathtub. Convenient off street parking. One of the two bedrooms is a generously sized 2 queens setup with a median between the beds for a bit of privacy for each roommate. The sitting room is comfortable with good light. The kitchenette is a wet bar with a mini fridge, no oven or cooktop. It's sufficient for a short stay because restaurants are so close there's no need to cook. As of our stay, there were no laundry machines inside the unit but the host indicated they were intending to install W/D units and kindly made the main home's laundry machines available during our stay.

Thanks so much for staying with us! The longer stay (3 weeks) was a great test of the Suite’s conveniences. For cooking, we have professional level cooktops available for those who are used to and want to cook at home; I can see why your sons weren’t interested, so many great restaurants! We were happy to accommodate with laundry as well. So glad it worked out. We hope they’ll stay with us when they’re back in Ithaca! Best, Elizabeth

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We love to walk to the Commons just down the street, passing our favorite boutique hotel/bar/event space Argos Inn, on our way to great restaurants, entertainment, or a waterfall, and coming back to see the family of deer that rotates through our yard using it as one of their relaxation places for a while! Beautiful…gorges! That’s our little slice of Ithaca.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We have a beautiful house built in 1895, refinished in artful decor with relaxation in mind. We are steps from the action with a wooded, in-town feel! We love our space and we love sharing it with travellers!
