Rest and recuperate!
This place became home away from home. I was in town for a medical procedure and needed a long term rental in which to recover so that I could be in town for at least a month post surgery.So I was there for a total of 35 days. Within that time frame my husband stayed with me an provided care, my mother stayed with me and provided care and I was also alone some of the time.There is not much of a true theme to the decorating but that could come with time. It was very helpful for me that it was only a few steps to walk up and one floor to navigate once you were in the unit.The host was very easy to reach before, during, and after my stay and even made special accommodations for be based on my specific needs. He didn't initially have a blender in the unit but when I let him know I was going to be on a liquid diet for two weeks he got one...a very nice one at that! :-) He also allowed me to have a power-lift chair delivered so I could have that assistance post surgery.There were plenty of cleaning supplies and toiletries at my disposal and I was able to leave some things to hopefully help the next guest (spices, frying pan, mop, etc.).The parking out back was convenient and the neighborhood is nice and walk-able. I did have the benefit of living in the metro 5 years before staying here but it is always nice to learn new parts of STL. Staying in Benton Park is convenient to lots of great parts of the city including well...Benton Park! :-) You will enjoy your stay!
