Carolâs place is in an amazing location in Bar Harbor. Close to the water and downtown activities but in quiet neighborhood. The apartment is very clean and well stocked kitchen. Perfect place for day hike excursions throughout Arcadia.
Quiet, clean and very comfortable. Close walk to everything downtown and short drive or bike to ANP. Fabulous week and top notch host. Would stay again in a minute.
Huckleberry was a cute upstairs apt with all the amenities. Itâs walking distance to tons of restaurants, shops & the harbor . A short drive to Arcadia National Park too ! Will definitely be back !I Highly recommend it . A great place to stay ! Thank you Carol
Right in downtown Bar Harbor - easy walking to many interesting places. Around the corner from Jordanâs - our fav breakfast place. And a couple of blocks from the sandbar exposed at low tide. Super well stocked and very comfortable. And Carol is a dear person. Skip the corporations and give her some business!
The location was perfect! Within walking distance to the downtown area. Very clean upstair apartment (stairs). Exactly what the pictures show. Carol, the owner, was very responsive when we had an issue with the washer. One issue when looking for the address, Google will send you to the first side street, which is wrong. Since itâs a one way street, youâll have to loop around back to the street, look for the white picket fence in your right. We will definitely stay there again if we come back to Bar Harbor!
Carol and her husband Jim have lived in Bar Harbor for 47 years because it is so easy to access the ocean for sailing, Acadia National Park for hiking and cross country skiing, and the community for enrichment and entertainment. In our younger years, we enjoyed backpacking trips in Colorado with our children. We bonded, as a family, during long cross country car trips to various national parks and we, minus the âkids,â continue to enjoy visiting B&Bs and camping as we have traveled around the U.S. When not traveling, Jim has spent his time renovating the 1904 cul-de-sac on which we live. He built the duplex that Huckleberry is in a couple of years ago because one of the original buildings was beyond renovation and needed to be taken down. Carol was a teacher in the local school for 25 years. We have provided, and continue to provide affordable housing for our community on our little side street. Now, in the âretirement years,â we enjoy meeting new people and look forward to hosting a variety of guests this season in our Huckleberry Suite.
