This house is great for a visit to Atlanta. Close to many attractions, easy walking to lots of restaurants and other businesses. Clean and well cared for and we loved sitting on the front porch in the beautiful fall weather.
Communication with the owner was super easy and she was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
The house was perfect - very large and comfortable. The location was perfect - close to everything, but in a beautiful residential neighborhood. We loved it!
Elizabeth was very friendly and accommodating. She made great recommendations for dining. The house was spacious and well equipped. We very much enjoyed our stay!
Elizabeth was a fantastic host. The house is within walking distance to so many places to eat and shop. We walked everywhere. The neighborhood is beautiful and the house is clean and comfy. Will stay here again!
This gorgeous home is comfortable, convenient to downtown and walkable spots to eat, and itâs much bigger than it appears in photos. Elizabeth is warm and friendly, and she is a delightful host. High ceilings, polished and intricate hardwood floors, and comfortable furnishings add to this feeling like home. I will definitely stay here again!
Elizabeth did a great job communicating everything that was needed and even recommending things to do and places to eat. The home had everything we needed and I even enjoyed sitting on the front porch with a cup of coffee in the morning. This was a staycation for me and my daughters and we had a great time bringing the new year in together. We will definitely be back! Sweet Auburn BBQ was SO GOOD!
My friends and I truly enjoyed our stay. The house is easily walkable to some great restaurants, bars, a grocery store and Piedmont Park. The house itself is beautiful: thereâs a wonderfully large front porch with a fan which was great for people watching and the house very comfortably fit the five members of my group. The rooms are spacious, and with the addition of the half bath there was never a queue to use the restroom.
Elizabeth herself was a wonderful host. She was easy to get in contact with and very flexible with my group.
The house is more spacious than the pictures suggest. It features 3 bedrooms with comfortable beds, a large, modern kitchen, and a dining room table that can accommodate six people easily. A wide front porch has a patio table with chairs as well as a sofa, making it a great spot to relax. The house was immaculate. Virginia-Highland is a picturesque neighborhood with an array of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Piedmont Park and the Carter Center are within walking distance and downtown is surprisingly close.
The place could use a few more kitchen amenities. There was only 1 wine glass and 2 dinner plates. Varied sized drinking glasses, like cocktail, beer, champagne, etc., should be added, after all, it is a 3 Bdrm, 3 Bathroom home.
The MBR claw foot bath is extremely slippery, a mat or some stickies would be of great help.
Thank you,
Jim
Owner was not kidding when they said,âstarter amountsâ of toilet paper and paper towels. There was about 1/4 roll of each with NO extras. Had to go buy these items on the first day, along with sponge for dishes and cleaner for counter tops, because there was NONE. For a family of 4 staying 4 days, you would think they could leave an extra roll of TP AND PAPER TOWELS. There was shampoo and conditioner, but NO soap or body wash in showers. Bring that too! Check out procedures and ârulesâ were pretty strongly worded. If you donât leave keys where they want, 50 fee. If they find one piece if dog poop, 100 fee. If you donât start washer and dishwasher, 50 fee. If you do not set thermostat on ECO, 50 fine..
I loved this house when I first entered. I noticed the closed in damp smell and I believed that it would go away with opening the doors and turning on the fans. It never did. I think the smell is trapped in the heavy fabric on the upholstered furniture, the thick rugs, and the stale air due to poor ventilation. When I returned home, my clothes smelled of the "dank" (traditional definition) house odor. Once this is fixed, I'd be excited to give this accommodation 5 stars!
We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful historic home in Atlanta! The house is spacious and perfect for familiesâplenty of private rooms for everyone to have their own space, and the layout worked so well with kids of all ages. The location is absolutely amazingâtucked into a quiet, charming neighborhood but still close to everything we wanted to do. The home itself has so much character and charm, with thoughtful touches throughout. Highly recommend for families or groups looking for comfort, space, and a truly special place to stay!
Perfect place for our family of 6 adults and one fur baby to stay for a weekend. Beautiful, spacious, and extremely comfortable. This charming home had everything we needed. Fantastic location! Easy peasy check in! Thanks to Elizabeth for being a wonderful host!Highly recommend!
What an incredible find! Home is beautifully appointed, lots of room for a family, well-equipped and large kitchen, and comfy beds! Gorgeous hardwood floors and fireplaces in every room (so charming). Plenty of linens and clear instructions from owners. Location is great in Virginia Highlands.
One bedroom gets a lot of light and you may want to have sleep masks if youâre light-sensitive and need to sleep in a darkened room, but I would rent this home again and again!!
Well stocked, beautiful home in historic Highlands. Loved being able to walk to restaurants and bars. Host very responsive. We will definitely stay again!
We wanted to be in close proximity to our son and daughter-in-law and the location was perfect. The owner was easy to reach and available to answer questions. The house was very comfortable. I would stay there again!
Beautiful bungalow in Virginia highlands. Great communication with owner. House was way bigger than the pictures make it look. The street it is on is pretty busy, but we had no problems parking or walking around. We loved the house and proximity to restaurants and piedmont park. We would definitely stay there again.
Our 2 grown sons and spouses, my husband and I loved this property. Elizabeth was a great host. In town for a family reunion, we got in late/early and check-in was smooth. Had a quick question about the Wi-Fi and she was quick to reply. There was nearby shopping. We had no issues with the home and enjoyed our visit to Atlanta. Thank you.
This house was wonderful. Just has Described. We were here for work and need a house close to great places to eat. And this house was close to some great restaurants. The house was well laid out and was very clean. The neighborhood was safe and walkable. Would definitely stay here again.
It is a nice home, very spacious. Attractive, charming. However, the guest bathroom had mold and the toilet in that room was not bolted to the floor properly, which made it wobbly, and was an issue for my pregnant daughter. A fire alarm chirped all night during our second night. But we still would have considered staying there again because itâs a convenient location. But then after we left and my daughter realized her husband had left his suit, the owner was rude to my daughter about the fact that we left our dogâs poop in the backyard â which, we had paid a $150 pet fee for her to stay, and there was no mention of picking up your dogâs poop. (At our home we donât; we let it fertilize the ground.) When we texted to say we were disappointed at how she treated my daughter, she let me know that âpeople with manners know to pick up their dogâs poop.â All of this after working hard to follow all of her rules â start the load of towels in the washer; start the dishwasher, etc. It was a real disappointing experience.
