Home away from home

Stayed at Wendal’s place for 2.5 weeks and didn’t want to leave! As a host, Wendal is accommodating and responsive. The house was so cozy and the location was perfect for a stay at home mom and my husband who works from home. We stayed here while we had renovations going on at our own home. Taproom down the road for coffee, Dom Beijos across the street for wine, and a few restaurants are all within walking distance. Neighborhood is quiet as well and the interstate is about 5-7 minutes away. Prime location.

Wonderful stay

Stayed here for a graduation at Emory. 6 adults. Had pleanty of room for everyone. Loved the front porch. Would have used the backyard but the weather was rainy. Host gave great recommendations and was avaliable to answer any questions!

Lovely house, close to what you need

This was our first visit to the city and we loved staying at this house. The neighborhood was cute and the house was well stocked. I recommend the neighborhood joints Home Bar and Evergreen Bakers. House was very clean and comfortable. Looking forward to staying again next time.

fabulous Thanksgiving stay

We were a group of friends getting together for Thanksgiving and the house was perfect, spacious and very well located. The owner was very responsive and accommodating, we will contact again next time we need a place in Atlanta.

Overall ok

The location was great for where we needed to be but is on a fairly busy road. Wasn’t a big deal though to us and you couldn’t hear the cars when inside. The owner graciously let us check in early which we appreciated so so much. Upon entering the door the home was over done with fragrance. I love a good smelling house but it was so over powering that I had to sit outside because it made me feel nauseous so we had to air the place out. I dont know if that’s a deal breaker for others but thought I’d mention it In the event it isn’t a future guest’s cup of tea. Over the house desperately needs updating as a lot of things were very worn, including the furniture. Beds were very squeaky and noisy and the couch was very thin and uncomfortable to sit on. Floors are pretty uneven so for my new walker they were difficult to navigate for him. The neighbor in the house next door was absolutely lovely. We stayed during Halloween and the neighborhood was lovely and had great trick or treating for kids. Lots of places within walking distance. It was mostly clean. Upon arrival there was a dishwasher full of dishes for us to put away which was a little off putting to need to do chores upon arrival. No laundry supplies given so if you need to wash anything be prepared to go buy some. Again not a deal breaker.. we just stay in a lot of places and that was a first for us. Owner was quick to respond with a phone call when we let him know we heard some sort of animal in the ceiling/attick.

Charming Stay

We found everything we needed for a weekend together and loved the abundant outdoor space. The neighborhood is made for exploring on foot. Communication was wonderful and instant. We would stay again! Here are a few things to know that weren't perfect. The property is older and is dated. There were large bugs in the kitchen that went down the vents. We returned one evening to find a sweet woman asleep on the porch.

Fantastic

Love this adorable home! We settled in quickly and my grandchildren loved playing in the backyard!! Thank you so o Wendal for answering so quickly when we messaged. I highly recommend this home and the downtown area. Do not pass up getting to eat at Evergreen bakery.

Quiet place

Even though the street is busy, it was hard to hear it inside. The house was nice, big enough for all of us. The porches were great. The air conditioning was set too low for me. There was no book to explain how things worked and what to do to come and go. There were plenty of linens. The house had almost everything. It could have used cloth napkins :)

Enjoyable Stay

We stayed at this home while visiting the zoo, aquarium and botanical gardens. The neighborhood is quiet, easy to get to the places we wanted to and within walking distance for restaurants. The house is quaint, but very comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the back deck. It was a nice place to relax at the end of the day.

Kirkwood charm…

Very happy with our stay…Plenty of room for all of us and we really enjoyed the neighborhood. Was perfect location for us and served us well during our visit down for our son’s graduation from Emory University!

Short spring break stay

The property was clean and very cozy with southern charm. The property owner was very attentive and responded to inquiries very quickly. We had a minor hiccup in our stay and Wendal was on it!!! He responded quickly and fixed our problem, so we had no worries. Would definitely recommend this home and we will stay again if we return to ATL!!!

A decent stay

The house is older and so it came with creaky floors and creaky beds. There was something on the toilet seat when we arrived that wiped off but both the toilet seats were worn out and could have been updated. We did have a visit from some ants in one of the bathrooms. Also in one of the bed rooms the cable didn’t work. On the flip side it was a quaint space. My family liked our location and proximity to many great places and restaurants. The manager Wendal was very assessable and the house was well stocked with supplies, linens, & towels.

Great Atlanta stay

We enjoyed stay here. Its a cozy home with all you need for a comfortable stay. Its perfect location in South Atlanta. Just a few miles far from the zoo. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. The property manager went above and beyond to help me when I left some things behind.

Cozy nice location

Overall our stay was pleasant and spacious. The only complaint is there was a strong mothball or mildew smell, like a old mildewy smell. It even followed us home on our clothes and hair.

Beautiful Home in Great Neighborhood

Wendal’s home was beautiful. He was great to communicate with - helpful, friendly and responsive. As out-of-towners, Atlanta was a little daunting, but Wendal’s home was located in a great neighborhood and close to everything we wanted. I would definitely recommend!

Perfect for Atlanta family visit

Gotta be honest - we were concerned about finding a safe neighborhood close to all the downtown attractions. We found it with this house. We were centrally located with all the Atlanta family activities we planned, and everyone had their own room with their own TV for downtime. This was the perfect solution for our family of four for a few days in Atlanta.
