THE CABIN

We’ve taken great care to create a comfortable, modern mountain vibe with all the amenities you will need for a memorable getaway.

✦ Spacious Living Area: Relax in the inviting living room, featuring a gas fireplace (operable October - April) and large windows with an abundance of natural light. Relax by the fire and enjoy movie nights with the Roku smart TV.

✦ Fully Equipped Kitchen: Whip up delicious meals in the well-appointed, open concept kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances, cookware, and a charming dining area that seats 8. You’ll find a few key extras like a well stocked coffee bar and ample cookware for easy cooking. Enjoy your meals indoors or step out onto the deck for al fresco dining surrounded by nature. (Just a heads-up: the water and ice maker on our fridge are intentionally disabled. Please consider bringing ice and bottled water with you).

✦ Serene Bedrooms: The primary bedroom boasts a king bed, a twin/twin and a Roku smart TV. The second bedroom features a comfortable queen bed and side-by-side twin beds, perfect for guests or family. Fresh linens and plush bedding ensure a restful night’s sleep.

✦ Relaxing Outdoor Spaces: Step outside to a spacious deck with lounge seating or dinning for all where you can sip your morning coffee or unwind in the evenings while soaking in the fresh mountain air. Relax your tired muscles after a day of mountain adventures in your private hot tub on the deck, where you can gaze into the woods in peaceful serenity. You can also enjoy the fire pit nestled at the bottom part of the property adjacent to the woods. (Firewood not provided).

✦ Loads of fun for all: Challenge your friends to a game of air hockey or enjoy the brand new 60-in-one sit down arcade game in the loft game room. We also have amble board games for endless family fun.

THE LOCATION

We are located on what local folks call “the peaceful side of the Smokies.” Situated just minutes from hiking trails, scenic drives, and local attractions, you’ll have easy access to all that the Smokies have to offer. The cabin is located in the quaint town of Wears Valley with charming antique stores, family-owned restaurants, gift shops and more. You are a short drive to the nearby hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for even more shopping, dining, and entertainment. Alternatively, you can head the other direction to the charming town of Townsend. Our cabin is located in a residential neighborhood.

NEIGHBORHOOD AMENITIES

Our cabin is just a 2-minute drive to the Honeysuckle Meadows Community Pool and RV Park (open May through October). Mention the Pepper Crest cabin for free entry. You can also obtain a day pass which includes a fishing permit at the private catch and release pond!

RECOMMENDED RESTAURANTS

We like good food! While there are likely some hidden gems out there, here are some of our favs that we’ve tried:

✦ Peaceful Side Social (Townsend) - Craft kitchen, craft beers, taco bar & fresh margaritas (seasonal), ample outside seating, family and dog-friendly. They have amazing pizzas and super tasty truffle fries!

✦ The Townsend Abbey (Townsend) - Dine right on the river and drink your favorite craft beer or cider. They have good flatbread pizza, sandwiches and salads.

✦ Elvira’s Cafe (Wears Valley) - Located a quick 2-minute drive from the cabin, Elvira’s Cafe offers homestyle breakfast, lunch and dinner and brunch on the weekends.

EARLY CHECK-IN / LATE CHECK-OUT / FEES

Early check-in or late-check out will be granted on a case-by-case basis depending on availability. We will always try to accommodate when we can assuming it allows our cleaners to have time to clean to our high standards.

A $60 fee will be charged if guests have not vacated the property by 11:15 AM. Late check-out requests must be submitted and approved at least 24 hours in advance. These fees, set by our cleaners, help ensure our cleaners have adequate time to prepare the home to our high standards.

CHECK OUT INSTRUCTIONS

We appreciate you don’t want to do a bunch of chores while on vacation! We simply ask that you throw the towels in the laundry room, put dishes in the dishwasher and put the trash in the bins outside and lock the door when you leave! Easy peasy!

WILDLIFE:

Nature is amazing! You will likely see and hear critters, and there are bears (and cubs!) in the neighborhood. We do pay for a monthly pest control service, however, you'll still see bugs and such. You may also come across other creatures like raccoons, spiders, snakes, lady bugs, and anything else that thrives outdoors. It’s part of the experience! If you see a few, we hope you let it go. If they’ve taken over the place, please let us know!! Please keep trash in the bear-proof container, and do not feed wild animals. BE SURE TO LOCK ALL DOORS (including car doors) AND WINDOWS.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

Refunds are not provided for circumstances outside our control, such as unexpected illness, inclement weather, power outages, disappointment in the lack of snow, or acts of God. We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance to protect against such unexpected disruptions.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

We offer a limited cancellation policy that allows for a full refund at least 14 days before check-in. Partial refund 7-14 days before check-in. We appreciate that plans changes, people get sick with the flu or Covid, unexpected weather pops ups, etc. This is why we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover your trip for unexpected emergencies. As such, we must adhere to our cancellation policy as outlined in our listing.

NO PET POLICY

We love animals, we do! Due to animal activity in the area, we maintain a strict no-pet policy. This policy ensures safety for both our guests and local wildlife. You will be charged $500 if you bring a pet, which includes $150 additional cleaning fee for our cleaners.

NO SMOKING

Smoking is not allowed inside the cabin under any circumstances. If you choose to smoke outside, we kindly ask that you do so respectfully and dispose of any waste properly. Please note, a $500 cleaning fee will be charged if smoking inside the cabin is detected. Thanks so much for helping us keep the space fresh and enjoyable for everyone!

RETURNED ITEMS

Please note that we cannot guarantee the return of any items left behind at the cabin. If we are able to locate and return the items, a $35 handling fee plus shipping costs will apply. These charges must be paid in full prior to shipment.

HOLIDAYS

In the spirit of keeping with our cozy cabin vibe, we like to decorate the cabin during the holidays with a Christmas tree and holiday decor. We appreciate that people have their own traditions around the holidays, but we hope it adds a warm and festive touch to your stay.
