Spectacular in every way
This property is truly extraordinary. Located in a vineyard at the top of a hill, the views are stunning in every direction. The accommodations are charming, spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, and have every convenience readily available. There is easy access by car to many excellent restaurants, wine cellars, and sites of interest. In addition to all of these lovely features, there is the amazing owner and hostess Giovanna. She was attentive to our every need and then some, as she simultaneously managed the grape harvest. Her recommendations for places to visit were terrific. Indeed, she made reservations for a number of restaurants and wine cellars, capitalizing on her extensive knowledge of the area and connections with key people. Every experience was interesting and rewarding. This is a highly recommended must-return vacation venue.
Thank you kind guests! Beautiful is to see recognized the beauty of the place, our availability and our work to make our guests' stay pleasant.
Quality property far from the crowds
If staying on top of a Vineyard in a restored several hundred year old Agriturismi is your idea of quality down time this is it. From a fabulous hostess with great “typical of the region” culinary skills to easy access to some of the regions finest wineries and road biking our stay was just about perfect.....
Beautiful, well-appointed home
This home exceeded expectations on all counts. Beautiful, clean, easily accommodated 3 couples with complete privacy for each. Kitchen was modern and exceptionally well stocked. Peaceful with beautiful views of vineyards and orchards, pear trees lining the driveway, yet <15 minutes to Alba. Our host, Giovanna, provided excellent customer service, including local knowledge, making restaurant reservations, touring ideas, and a wonderful dinner. She can provide extensive breakfasts with freshly baked goods every day, additional cost. Do not be put off by the road up to the home. We travelled it multiple times each day in an oversized van without any problems!
The home offers a perfect location for exploring nearby Alba (fantastic town), Barbaresco and Barolo wine regions, the Langhe and the Alta Langhe areas. We spent a week there and barely scratched the surface! Definitely recommend this property without reservation to anyone wishing to explore this region from a quiet but central location.
Really there are so many fascinating things to see and do in the Langhe ... some almost unimaginable ... as did these guests: go around the hills by bike with the assisted pedaling rented in Alba.
Thank you very much!
Immersi nelle Langhe
I think I do something pleasing to international readers translating the comment into English.
Immersed in the Langhe
At the end of March 2018 we stayed in one of the two houses of this relaxing agriturismo surrounded by nature and vineyards, precisely in Cà dra Topia (the Grape Pergola House). In addition to a kind reception of the owner, Mrs. Giovanna, there were all the comforts: comfortable beds, a bathroom with a washing machine, a dishwasher, an oven, a living room with an adjoining fireplace ... plus two spectacular 360 ° terraces with the possibility of eating out or preparing a barbecue immersed in the sounds of nature. It was one of the most exciting and full of experiences: enchanting landscapes, the possibility to learn how to cook typical Piedmontese Langhe dishes together with the owner, wine tasting and much more ... not to mention the fabulous breakfast prepared by Mrs. Giovanna (cake hazelnuts, fresh biscuits, cured meats, cheeses, honey and jams) ... We will definitely be back in the fall to attend the Alba truffle fair and admire the colors of the vineyards!
Comfortable,clean,commodious hilltop tranquillity
Six of us stayed in this most picturesque 2 storied hillside home for a week, and had a wonderful time.We had a double bedroom ensuite for each couple, the top units having panoramic views over rolling hillsides of vineyards. We bought food locally and cooked in the fully equipped kitchen, having afternoon tea and evening dinners on a covered verandah next to the house, which had it's own views over the rear valleys.Early morning walks took us past fruit trees and our host Giovanna's prolific garden, full of delicious tomatoes and other vegetables, herbs and fig trees. Her advice about local restaurants and providores was invaluable, and given with great bonhomie. We loved our stay.
