The stay itself was mostly fine, with only minor issues initially. Upon arrival, the bathroom drain was clogging and the outdoor garbage can was completely full. To their credit, the host was responsive and helped resolve these during our stay.Unfortunately, after checkout the experience changed significantly. The host accused us of damaging a piece of furniture and of leaving the hot tub water “dirty.” These accusations are not accurate.When we left, the furniture in question was intact and in the same condition as during the stay. After checkout, the host sent photos showing an entire door from that piece of furniture removed and lying on the floor—something that was not present when we departed. Rather than trying to discuss the discrepancy, the host immediately took an aggressive and accusatory tone and threatened to file a complaint. Regarding the hot tub, it is an outdoor amenity exposed to weather and debris. It was used appropriately, and hot tubs should be filtered and cleaned by the host between guests as part of normal turnover. While I regret not taking timestamped photos or video before leaving, I had no reason to expect false damage claims. This is otherwise a well-maintained property, so I was not expecting to need to document anything. If you stay here, please do.Although the stay itself was uneventful, the host’s post-stay conduct was unfair and concerning. I would not stay here again and would caution future guests to document everything carefully.

For transparency, our documented post-checkout inspection found furniture damage and hot tub issues that required follow-up beyond normal cleaning and turnover. We do not make claims lightly, and when issues are identified, they are addressed through our standard process. We remain committed to maintaining the home carefully and to responding quickly when concerns are raised in real time.
