We booked the house to celebrate my fatherâs birthday. It nicely accommodated 3 families with a bunk room for the kids downstairs. The alligator across the hall was a bit scary for young children, so beware opening doors. The hot tub was a nice touch, although we struggled to keep it at temperature. Location was perfect for mountain access and remote Mountain Viewâs. We enjoyed snow shoeing, skiing and sledding locally.
This cabin was absolutely beautiful and spotless with breathtaking views. We rented this cabin for our small wedding reception and it was perfect. The only down side was the landscaping, the grass in the front yard and driveway were very overgrown.
Beautiful home in a beautiful, secluded location.ButâŠAt least half of the external doors do not lock, including the basement walkout doors, where the kids bunk room is alone.Stove is broken, does not cook to temperature and canât adjust.Fire alarms are either disconnected and/or removed. House is poorly insulated, internally, meaning you can hear every word someone else is saying in other rooms and other floors when doors are closed. Difficult when some of the party is sleeping and the rest are up watching TV or laughing.Aside from those four major items, nice house with a lot of space.
House was very clean. Filled with all essentials to cook. However the oven is not your average oven took forever to stay hot, the dryer did not dry the clothes, in the master the thermostats did not work but all irrelevant the view, the hot tub all amazing everything is about 20 mins away. Deff would stay again!!! Kids loved it ! So amazing to be secluded
the property is beautiful. bbq needs replaced, hot tub missing headrest, sound system not working in basement and the outside and mid level where a tid bit flakey but they worked. note internet is hughesnet so its super slow 4mbps down 600+ms latency. doors of the cabin dont lock. no air conditioning(even tho it was stated in the listing). att service is good bout 12mbps down ~70 ms.
This house was stunning for our family birthday trip celebrating our daughterâs 30th birthday. We had 8 adults and 2 teens and 2 children. It was a perfect location and very clean with all you could need. Beautiful views and close to Sunday River. They do have 2 identical houses without numbers on them and we actually checked into the wrong house by mistake. Joyce was so understanding as it has happened before. We offered to move but didnât have to as the other house is the same. Overall, incredible property. We used the hashtag #wronghouserightparty Thanks for everything. We will be back for sure.
We stayed for a week over spring break for some spring skiing. The house is amazing - spacious, clean and well equipped. The grill must have been replaced bc previous reviews said it was an issue. My husband used it twice with no issue. The oven needs to be replaced. We made the best of it, but it wouldnât get to temperature and was very finicky. Locks on several exterior doors are not functional. Itâs a very secluded place so it didnât feel like an issue but would be an easy remedy.
My family and I had an amazing time over New Years at this house!! The house was very clean and there was plenty of space for everyone. The kids especially loved the downstairs area and hot tub. Would definitely love to come back again!
An awesome cabin located with a great scenic view of the mountains! We picked this one because it was the last one in the driveway in that area. We had a lot of privacy and really enjoyed this cabin! If youâre looking to get away to peace and quiet with the feeling of being in a luxurious cabin in the wild this one is it!
A group of us rented the property to ski Sunday River. The house is only 20 min away and perfectly secluded for the peace and quiet. The property has that great cabin feel and plenty of room for the ten of us.
Cabin in the woods on the side of a mountain. Huge home with plenty room for all, very cozy inside during winter with an amazing fireplace. Large deck was incredible for sunrise and during a blue sky day. Hot tub was one of the best hot tub experiences Iâve ever had. The view from your own private hot tub canât be beat. Two car garage and plenty other parking. Not far from town or skiing at Sunday River. Weâll likely be back as it was a perfect mountain getaway cabin.
The house was wonderful. Very warm and easily accommodated our family of 6 (plus dog). There were smart TVs in 3 of the 4 bedrooms- the basement bedroom didnât have one but we didnât use that bedroom anyway. We built a fire every night and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful views. The WiFi was spotty but overall was fine. I do wish there was a larger selection of cookware. All of the pans were roughly the same smallish size and there wasnât a large pot to boil water in; we had to use two separate ones. (Also I couldnât find a can opener.). I was so happy to have a gas stove though! The beds were comfortable and the main bedroom on the first floor had a nice bathroom and walk-in closet. It was an easy 20 minutes max to Sunday river. I think we would definitely stay here again.
The location was amazing, the house was awesome but the WiFi was horrible and we had a lot of wasps getting into the house. I would stay again, especially if they beef up the WiFi.
This house had great views - a little confusing to get to at first since it's way off the beaten path but worth it! Awesome space, hot tub, and kitchen.
The only upsets were slow wifi (weren't able to stream anything seamlessly), the ice machine decided to stop working, and there were no fire extinguishers that we found which was concerning as we were grilling ...
Overall, great stay for a bunch of friends - other than a few kinks, it would have been a 10/10.
This house has a nice design and is wonderfully situated with a great view. It was clean and large and reasonably priced. But... (1) the floors are oddly thin due to the type of post and beam construction, so the main floor bedroom gets to hear "everything" that occurs in the bedroom above it, (2) nobody has thought about what it is like to actually live in the house (e.g., there are no night tables next to several beds, reading lights are an afterthought, and some bulbs were out), (3) billed for 12 guests, but there are only about eight sets of silverware, (4) wifi struggles with several computers working at the same time - and streaming tv simply does not work, (5) not equipped with basic kitchen stuff like serving platters and salt, and (6) it is really a bit far from where you want to be.
We did have a good time and I'd ordinarily still give the house a 4, but the management team was simply absent. They did not respond to phone calls, ever (I was hoping that they could replace a broken coffeemaker which wasn't a big deal, but nobody ever called back after several calls even to acknowledge my inquiry, and one of our party gave up after trying to reach them to inquire about some items she left at the home). So a 4 is a 3. due to the management team. Hopefully we just got unlucky with their staffing during our week.
Coming here with my family for the second year in a row. Best best place to stay, walk around trails by rivers. If it rains you will see clouds forming under you, if it is cloudless - you will see Milky Way in the night.
It was quiet and peaceful. Very nice property, but missing the personal touches of a real home. You could tell it was a rental not a home rental. Example: no hooks to hang towels in the bathrooms. A chair and bed side stand would have been nice in the bed rooms. The pots and pans were in need of replacement. The kids loved the alligator. Overall a good family space. The TVâs didnât work well??? The internet was very slow.. It rained all weekend, so our outside activities were curtailed. The view was amazing.
We held our wedding here in late June. The cabin was incredible and had a lot of options to adjust as needed for our event. The jacuzzi was fantastic, the view could not have been better either. Highly recommend it!
This is a private location just minutes from hiking, skiing, fishing, kayaking and so much more. The location was perfect for any ones wants and needs. The views are just amazing all four seasons. The ability to walk out the door and hike for miles is a great feature.
This cabin site on a mountain side overlooking the Androscoggin River Valley. It is at the end of the road where there is little to no traffic. Wildlife such as deer and moose are often seen on the property. It is so private and peaceful.
