SINGLE LEVEL: 1 bedroom (2 Doubles), 1 full bathroom (tub/shower), full kitchen, open concept dining/living area with queen sleep sofa, balcony with ocean view.

AMENITIES: Smart TVs-2 with cable (LR, BR), internet access, keyless access, microwave, flattop stove, full size refrigerator, drip coffee maker, hair dryer, queen sleep sofa (LR), balcony with ocean view, coin laundry facility on site, common use elevator, unassigned covered parking with adjacent overflow parking lot, indoor/outdoor pools, hot tub, fitness room, direct beach access. Note: NO dishwasher.

HOUSEKEEPING / LINENS: All short-term stays include departure clean service, bed and bath linens, and beds made upon arrival. Linens and housekeeping are additional costs for monthly stays.

POOL ACCESS: Tucked into the low beach dunes and centrally located, the prized outdoor pool park at Bridgewater offers a large pool, lazy river, hot tub, kiddie pool, and furnished poolside patio surround. A second pool is located indoors along with a hot tub and fitness room. The indoor/outdoor pool complex is for Bridgewater owner/guest use only. (No outdoor pool heat. Seasonal use subject to HOA management.)

BEACH ACCESS: A ramped boardwalk to the beach is available directly from the outdoor pool area, and a second boardwalk is available on the building’s south end.

LENGTH OF STAY: Saturday to Saturday stays over peak summer. Partial-week stays may be considered for last-minute bookings. Flexible minimum night stays available the rest of the year. Monthly winter rental inquiries are welcome.

LITCHFIELD BY THE SEA: A gated coastal paradise on one of the finest beaches along the east coast. Enjoy outdoor pickleball/tennis courts as well as miles of biking and walking paths within a tropical coastal setting. Fish in the surf or on the freshwater lake. Take a dip in the pool, splash in the ocean waves, and beachcomb along the shore. See saltmarsh vistas and fascinating shorebird life. Explore Brookgreen Gardens, Huntington Beach State Park, and historic Georgetown. Experience nearby award-winning golf courses and chartered boating excursions. Sample exceptional local restaurants – many within walking distance.

The condo has a beautiful view, is nicely updated and decorated, and had nearly everything we needed in the kitchen. Check-in and out were a breeze, and we appreciated being notified the day before travel that we could check-in early. We had an issue with a clogged bathroom sink (it was unusable) that wasn't repaired until late Monday afternoon (I had to call three times). We were also unaware of the lack of an ice maker, which is something we take for granted at the beach. Only one small, broken ice tray was in the freezer, and we had to buy bags of ice during our stay.

Litchfield by the Sea, a beach front gated community, offers a relaxing Lowcountry coastal experience on the South Strand. The tame but naturalized landscape of signature Palmetto palms, native myrtles, seaside roses, cedars and hollies wend around a central fresh water fishing lake, sweeping green spaces and quintessential tidal creek.

Micro-communities of residential homes blend with townhomes and low to mid-rise condo complexes, each boasting their own architectural style, signature outdoor pool and water views.

Common areas offer residents and guests alike access to outdoor lighted tennis courts, fishing and crabbing piers on the lake and saltmarsh, winding walking and biking paths and private direct access to one of the finest beaches on the east coast.

Litchfield Beach is easily among the prettiest beaches in South Carolina. Bounded by low lying sand dunes and the blue-green ocean, the beach is characteristically wide with soft white sand and spans 7 miles from end to end.

Huntington Beach State Park shares the same strand as Litchfield Beach, a popular destination for families, photographers, and nature lovers. Take a drive a few miles north along Ocean Highway 17 to the forested state park entrance where visitors will fall under the enchanting spell of the beauty and wildlife of the Lowcountry sand dunes and marshlands.

Only a few miles away as well is Brookgreen Gardens, another local treasure. Brookgreen displays world renowned sculpture amidst acres of lush gardens and majestic oaks and offers miles of walking paths through what once was a working rice plantation. It is also home to the only accredited zoo on the Carolina coast, where you will see rescued native animals in their natural habitats.

The Pawleys Island/Litchfield Beach area is known locally as the Waccamaw Neck. Pawleys Island, known for its “arrogantly shabby” character, encompasses Litchfield but has its own beach – and island – where it splits away from the south end of Litchfield Beach. The relaxing ebb and flow of the tide sets the pace of our Lowcountry coastal region of South Carolina where getting on Island Time comes naturally.
