The house was great and right across the street from the beach! Hot tub came in super handy since it rained the first few days and it was a little chilly coming back from the beach!

Housing for Sea Lab School Trip

This property was in a perfect location relative to the Sea Lab where we took classes each day, and the hosts were always so responsive. We had a great stay and had everything we needed. Everything was clean and comfortable and made for a great beach getaway.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was spacious with plenty of room to spread out and relax. It was very clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the covered area underneath the house and the porch were perfect places to unwind. I have pet allergies and had no reaction to the furniture or common areas, even though a dog stayed with us.The refrigerator kept everything very cold, and the kitchen was well stocked. The can opener was broken, so we replaced it, and we also left a pair of scissors for future guests.The only issue we encountered was a strong mildew odor from the washing machine once we started using it. The smell seemed to come from the washer, not the house itself. The oven knobs were also a little confusing because they don't indicate which direction increases or decreases the heat, but we figured it out.Beach access was great. We found it easiest to unload at the beach access, park back at the house, and then walk back. Overall, we had beautiful weather, a fantastic trip, and would happily stay here again!

Fabulous!

We LOVED our stay at this beautiful new home! VERY clean, bedrooms and bathrooms are large, well stocked with everything we needed and more. Morning walks are great on the streets behind the property. We loved being near a couple of cute boutiques, an ice cream shop and restaurants. But most of all, we LOVED being able to walk to the beautiful beach across the street. This home was PERFECT for a long weekend getaway!

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again. The home is beautiful, spacious, and an easy walk to the beach. The hot tub was a great bonus, there was plenty of room for our group of 12, and communication with the host was always quick and friendly.The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars comes down to a few details. The grill was a lower-end model and we arrived with very dirty grates and a grease-filled drip pan. We were told someone would clean it, but only a brush was left for us, and the drip pan couldn’t really be cleaned which caused grilling to be difficult. It’s time for a new grill. The coffee maker was a basic drip model. While it worked fine, most vacation homes we’ve stayed in provide either a Keurig or another upgraded option in addition to a drip coffee maker. The bath towels were small, rough, and there weren’t enough. The sofa bed had a broken mechanism (the host checked it but it couldn’t be repaired during our stay). Also, the kitchen sponges were old and had an odor, and the stove knobs weren’t labeled, making cooking a little difficult.These are all relatively minor items, but for such a beautiful home, it’s the little details that make the difference. We’d also suggest providing disinfecting wipes so guests can help keep the home clean during their stay.Overall, we had a wonderful trip and would recommend this home.

Glad 2118 Bienville was beautiful, spacious, an easy walk to the beach, and that the hot tub and layout worked well for your group — and that our communication was quick and friendly. I appreciate the detailed feedback and apologize for the issues you found. We take these items seriously and have already scheduled improvements: - Grill: we will replace the unit and ensure the new grill is cleaned and ready for guests. - Coffee maker: we will add a single-serve option in addition to the drip brewer. - Towels: we’re replacing the towels with larger, softer sets and adding extra quantities. - Sofa bed: the mechanism couldn’t be fixed during your stay; a full repair or replacement is being arranged. - Sponges and supplies: old sponges were removed and replaced; we’ll maintain fresh cleaning items and add disinfecting wipes for guest use. - Stove knobs: we will label or replace the knobs to make cooking easier.
