AWESOMENESS!! This makes us very happy that others feel the same :) The fact that the beach right in front of our house will never be crowded makes it even better! The public accesses are far enough to way to not encroach on us....makes the private beach access even better!

Laura, glad you appreciated our home is beautiful!....but this is an unfair 3 star review. Let me explain... The cleaning crew that prepared the house for your arrival had no problem with the elevator right before you guys got there. They use it every clean to get their cleaning equipment up/down between floors. It was working perfectly fine an hour and a half before your arrival. I was notified about the elevator not working properly Thursday evening. Upon learning this, I began the process of getting someone out there. Normally at the cape it does take 2-3 weeks to get a service call in. When I called, they already had the next day booked...so I asked for the first available...and luckily it was Monday. I wouldn't settle for that answer so I told them I would pay extra to get them out sooner.... He was able to get him out Sunday and I jumped on it just so you guys would have the departure date where you can at least use the elevator to bring the luggage down, etc. The service call was double what it would have been the next day had I left it, but went out of my way to accommodate for you guys. Also, as a courtesy/inconvenience for you...I provided complementary Hot Tub heat for your stay. So we spent around 1k extra to try to make it right for you guys not knowing at the time it could have been prevented altogether...definitely not complaining, it's part of the business....but the kicker is...when the elevator guy came on Sunday and ran the backlog of reports of what happened to the cab...it came back as "user error". So basically someone in your party either opened the inner door early before the elevator stopped or triggered some type of error code manually somehow that put the elevator in service mode. Yes, all rental companies have an elevator clause in there rental agreement because of the severe weather that sometimes hits the cape. But this was different. Just like the weather....user error is out of our control as well. I get it, it happens....no blame at all.... But want you guys to realize that we went out of our way to accommodate for this error even though it was not our fault. I didn't learn that it was user error until the report came back Monday and didn't want to bother you with it to make you feel even worse than what you already felt. But bottomline...it could have been prevented, we adjusted/adapted the best we could given the information.....and we did everything in our power to rectify the situation asap....and that in itself should be worth 5 stars! And yes....on normal turn days....the check out time is 9am in order to have enough time to prepare the house for the next party (again, per rental agreement)....but we allow a later check out, upon request, on non turn days which yours was... You know through the years of being a property manager, as well as in my dental practice at home (my main job:)....I've learned that you can treat 100 people in the same exact same way....with the upmost respect, 100% undivided attention, giving the customer/patient the benefit of the doubt, etc.... but there is always going to be a small % out of the 100 that you just can't please no matter how hard you try.... Again, not your fault....but others need to know the full explanation when reading the reviews in order to know that it has nothing to do with the property itself.... as evidenced by the other 99 positive 5 stars reviews….
