Breezy Point Cottage / Rutherford Island

Welcome to “Breezy Point” Step back in time and enjoy life in this authentic Maine riverfront cottage. Constructed in the late 1890’s- early 1900’s this property has a beautiful and desirable location. Watch local fishermen ferry through the Gut to the Damariscotta River and back again. The purr of the motors resonates in an otherwise natural quiet. You will notice that this cottage has beautiful views of the water and a relaxing vibe to sit on the porch while listening to the waves and breathing in the fresh air.

If you would like to explore, just a few minutes’ walk down the road is Osiers Wharf where you can find fresh seafood and talk to locals. This property is only about a 20-minute drive to Damariscotta, for shopping, dining, and river cruises. To stay more local go further down the coast to visit Coveside Restaurant and Marina in beautiful Christmas Cove or take a short hike up the Rutherford Island Preserve where there are breathtaking views of the Damariscotta River.

“Notice: The maximum occupancy of the cottage is 6 people.  This includes any short-term visits by friends, relatives, etc.  Additionally, the maximum number of cars to be parked on the property is 3 cars.  Again, this includes short-term visits by friends, relatives, etc.

If you need to exceed either the maximum occupancy or maximum number of parked cars for a short-term period (such as someone coming over for a meal or the spend the afternoon), contact the rental agent Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm for permission. 

Violation of either maximum occupancy or car parking limit could result in the forfeiture of some or all of your security deposit.
