We had a wonderful long weekend with family- the location of the house on a quiet lake was perfect. We enjoyed the water and the canoe as well as the local area. The house is lovely with an excellently equipped kitchen. We all wished we could have stayed longer
Four friends who all needed to get away for rest, relaxation, and fun!
This VRBO fit all our needs!
Very pretty home on a beautiful lake.
Had everything we needed!
We are a family of six and we wanted to experience the beautiful state of Maine. The location was perfect for us to stay 2 nights and explore the area. Most important was that it allowed us, as a larger family, to be together in one spot during the evening and nighttime hours. The house is beautifully decorated, well stocked and very comfortable. We appreciated the opportunity to visit and find such a great home!
The house is stocked with all of your needs, very clean and was great for our family. We cooked all of our dinners in the house like it was our own! Having a canoe provided was wonderful and the lake is beautiful. We loved our week here and highly recommend this house!
Stayed with my husband and brothers-in-law on a weekend of crazy snow! Beautiful spot, canât wait to stay here again and see the water. Beautiful home, nice kitchen and laundry, could easily stay here longer term! Unique layout perfect for a group
My two sisters and I had a sisters stay at this house. The view of the pond was wonderful and it was a short walk to the shore. The house itself was great, nicely decorated, beautifully designed. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay at this home! The setting is spectacular right on the lake, the home is so comfortable and cozy, and it has all that you need to feel at home. It is secluded, but close to Damriscotta and other towns. We loved our time here. My favorite time of day was my morning coffee with a book on the dock.
A wonderful home with a very nice dock to tie up your boat or spend the day relaxing on the water. Owner is wonderful to work with - responsive, accommodating and answers any questions you may have. Would go back for sure!
This home was perfect for our getaway. We were in the woods and on the beautiful lake in a completely private setting. We really enjoyed both the house and being out in the yard and on the water. We even caught some fish while we were there. Would definitely rent this place again.
This is a beautiful home in a great location. The bedrooms (particularly those upstairs) are beautiful, well-appointed and comfortable and all the features around the house are tasteful and very well-maintained. We especially enjoyed the deck and spacious common areas, perfect for large family dinners. Thank you for a lovely stay.
This home in Damariscotta had everything we needed for a retreat into the Maine woods. We enjoyed indoor and outdoor fires. The privacy this home has in its setting made for a peaceful atmosphere. We enjoyed a lake swim and paddle with the offered canoe. The home was nicely stocked with essentials and appliances were easy to navigate. The beds and linens were comfortable. The house was sufficiently clean. The host responded to a question I had, in a reasonable amount of time. Her instructions for the house were clear and rules and regulations were relaxed and accommodating. The location is perfect for days filled with shopping or exploring the coast, hiking and eating in local establishments.
My sisters and I with our parents rented the house to attend a family wedding nearby. The house was comfortable and had a great open living, dining and kitchen space. The house is down a dirt road and has lake access so it feels very private. The weekend was rainy but the house had great views and a closet full of board games for us to enjoy. It would be a great place for a family vacation.
Really enjoyed our stay! Everything was as described. I would stay there again. The only thing that needed attention was that the pots and pans in the kitchen needed replaced a long time ago. They were in poor condition. Everything else was great!
The serene and peaceful atmosphere of this house and property were exactly what we needed to decompress. The house is beautifully designed with comfort and charm in mind. It is impeccably clean and well equipped with everything you need for your stay. We loved the private space and the gorgeous dock and grassy areas to sit and read. Itâs an easy drive to Damariscotta and other towns along the coast. Lots of outdoor activities and restaurants with carry out make this a great choice with precautions in mind for safe travel. Great stay. Easy booking and communication. We hope to be back soon
Tastefully decorated and well equipped home in secluded area. 30 minutes from Booth Bay. Would recommend
Owner did not respond to one question. Not a big problem but we did expect a response
We had an excellent long weekend at Pemaquid Lake. We overcame a day one power outage due to a nearby traffic accident taking out a power pole and line by visiting friends on nearby Biscay Pond. The home was in very good condition, the WIFI service was strong, the home is convenient to all services in nearby Damariscotta and was well stocked. We had excellent Fall weather, albeit very windy. There is much to do in the area but a couple of the highlights were visits to Marshall Point and the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouses. We enjoyed a dinner at Schooner Landing in downtown Damariscotta right on the river.
This lovely house on the lake has everything you could want or need for a family get-together. It is spacious with comfortable furniture and a large qell-stocked kitchen. The deck is wonderful. We made good use of the grill. We really enjoyed the lake and the provided canoe and other equipment.
Our only difficulty was a small one in that the bed and pillows were a bit firm for our taste. Also, due to no one's fault, our stay happened to overlap with a very hot spell which made the house a bit warm at times. Good thing we had the lake to keep us cool!
We would definitely stay again if we are in the area. Thank you for letting us stay in your home.
Lovely Lake Home On Tranquil Pemaquid Lake. You'll Love it !
Spent a great five day getaway with our whole family, while attending a family wedding in nearby Waldoboro, at this lovely and very comfortable home situated on tranquil Pemaquid Lake. Slept all 7 of us easily. Owner, Brigitte, and her property manager, Sigrid, couldn't have been more gracious and cooperative. House has everything you'll need, including Wi Fi. There's a large modern gas grill and lovely outdoor patio set for eating, as well as a large kitchen and dining table inside. The house, itself, is located down a single lane dirt road, 4/10ths of a mile off the beaten path, but still just a few miles from the Hannaford grocery store and all the necessary amenities found in Damariscotta. It's an easy one hour drive up I-295 and Route 1 from the Portland Jetport. Don't miss stopping for the world famous lobster roll at Red's Eats in Wiscasset only about 20 minutes southwest of Damariscotta. Pemaquid Lake was crystal clear, although the water level was a little low, while we were there. Fishing off the beautiful dock was fun even though we didn't catch much in the shallower water. There were even a couple of fishing poles available to use in the storage shed. Bring aqua socks if you want to swim, as the lake bed is soft Home is equipped with a good sized canoe and a few life vests. You'll be located less than a half hour drive to the ocean. Nearby Pemaquid Point Park and Lighthouse, on the rocky Maine shore, is both historic as well as physically dramatic (wear sneakers or hiking boots-no sandals). Pemaquid Beach is not far away from Pemaquid Point. We liked the Point so much that we visited twice. We were blessed with 5 days of beautiful early Fall weather and the leaves were just starting to show some color. Saw no moose but did see some loons and bald eagles. All in all, it was a wonderful five day Maine vacation. We're very grateful to Brigitte for making her lovely family home available for us to share. Thank you, Brigitte.
Six of us spent a long weekend together ⊠so much fun having time with our kids and 10 month old granddaughter!
The house was great for this purpose. We swam in the pond, had loons visit and enjoyed the area.
The one area that needed attention was the outside deck/porch. The furniture was wet and moldy and the tables were filthy. We live in Maine so we know itâs hard to keep up with the weather but we would recommend more of the plastic Adirondack chairs and fewer cushions ⊠or have cover ms for them!
We headed up during Hurricane Ophelia and Saw
Some great Wave action along the route. Arrived to a beautiful yet comfortable home on a lake. The beds were so comfortable and the living space, all open to the kitchen with a deck and windows facing the lake. It was heaven. We rowed out on the lake, shopped in Damariscotta and in Bath, visited some orchards, HEARD the LOONS several days and nights. What a week!!
