The house and property are beautiful in a tranquil setting. The pool was a hit with all family members, and the instructions for working the pool were very easy. We loved the kayaks and paddle boards on the creeks and out to the Corrotoman. We ordered crabs from Miss Mary’s and enjoyed them on the screened porch.

We had a great stay at this property for a long Labor Day weekend. The property had everything we needed, is situated on a private lot, and centrally located to Kilmarnock/White stone/Irvington. The bedroom lay out is also nice for those traveling with younger kids. Would recommend

Exceeds Expectations

Pictures are good, but to see the property in person is exceptional. Lucky Dog River House is a delight to explore and relax for the entire family. The home is well-appointed, thoughtfully stocked and has everything you need.

Our family visits the Irvington area every year for the fourth of July and we all agreed that this was the best place we have rented yet! It was very clean, beautiful, spacious, and had everything we needed. We had 4 adults and 5 kids and the space was perfect. The kayaks and paddle boards made for an ability to get out on the water easily and we spent hours in the pool playing water volleyball. Tim and Amy were incredibly communicative and helpful- even including local recommendations. Can't recommend Lucky Dog enough! We hope to return next year.

Relaxing, quiet & beautiful property

This property is out of this world. The perfect place to go for a relaxing week by the pool with any kitchen device you could possibly need! My wife, dog and I enjoyed the screened porch for dinners and drinks on the couches. Bathtub in the primary bedroom is the best i’ve ever used! Close to everything, nothing is more than 10 minutes away. You won’t regret it!

Lucky Dog is a fantastic property. It is super clean and comfortable. The owners spared no expense in setting it up with higher end appliances, nice dishes and knives, a powerful grill, furniture, bedding, etc. We fully enjoyed our days relaxing in the pool, looking out at the picture-perfect river and trees. I also appreciated Tim’s prompt and proactive communication. We could not have had a better stay. I highly recommend the Lucky Dog River House.
