Welcome to Grand Times! Charming, private waterfront getaway centrally located between Irvington and Kilmarnock, and nearby Tides Inn, Golden Eagle Golf Course, and the new Compass Entertainment Complex. KAYAK FLOATING DOCK and 3 KAYAKS for guests' use. Features huge, screened porch overlooking Taylor Creek with cushioned Adirondack seating and dining table for 6. Sundeck/gas grill off screened porch. Outdoor seating and railed deck on point for serene sunset views. Open and airy floor plan features great room with flat screen TV, dining table for 6-8, island kitchen with barstools, and 1st floor half bath. First floor master with king bed/ full bath. 2 large bedrooms up (1 Queen; 2 twin beds), each with private bath. Living areas and all bedrooms have water view. 2nd fl. TV loft. NO PETS/NO SMOKING. 15% discount for 7-13 night stay / 20% discount for 14 or more nights.

We had a wonderful Father’s Day weekend at the cottage! The porch was our favorite spot to enjoy the day. We used the kayaks daily, fishing off the dock, and crabbing as well (a first for the little ones and mom)! Location was perfect! Hope to be back soon. We have fallen in love with the Northern Neck.

Peaceful Retreat

We had a wonderful stay in this charming cottage. The home is beautifully furnished and the kitchen is fully stocked. We spent time on the large screened porch watching the local wildlife and we enjoyed using the kayaks provided to paddle the creek. If you are looking for a quiet retreat to rest and recharge, this is it.

Wonderful Stay in Weems, VA

This was one of the best VRBOs that I've stayed in. Beautiful waterfront home in a quiet, secluded area. The home was immaculate, with easy access to the best that the Northern Neck has to offer. The property owner thought of every detail to make our stay comfortable, was responsive in answering any questions that we had, and even let us check in a bit early since the house had already been cleaned. We've been to the Northern Neck many times and will definitely stay at this property the next time we visit the area.

October 2024 Golf Outing

We've been to the area many times for long golf weekends and this is the best house by far. Close to the Golden Eagle Golf Course and the home had everything we needed. Lynda the owner was very responsive and accommodating. Hoping our schedules allow us to return next fall!

Senior citizen review (65 yrs old)

This property was a great choice for our vacation. We enjoyed the beautiful home and the outdoor setting. The screened in porch was my favorite. From the porch I was able to see the water and enjoy the wildlife on the property. Lots of humming birds, beautiful butterflies, squirrels, chipmunks, birds and even a small buck deer. My husband and my cousin enjoyed the creek and the fishing it allowed. They caught some small fish and each caught some large puppy drum. They gave crabbing a try with some small success. The area and small towns were very nice. Very clean and close enough to the property. Lots of art shops and other interesting stores. We ate a several nice restaurants and enjoyed all. Special mention of Donnas' on Main and Small Town Burger. You must stop at Small Town Burger. Best burger we have had in a long time. Don't miss it. Thoroughly enjoyed the week, would highly recommend for folks looking for relaxation and an outdoor experience.

What a gorgeous, spotlessly clean, fully stocked, welcoming, huge, peaceful place to stay. I have never had such a well-stocked kitchen with tools, kitchen basics, small appliances, and all. The pics do not even begin to show how spacious the home is. Perfectly decorated. A+.

Delightful family gathering.

This is a charming home filled with everything you will need for a lovely visit to the Northern Neck. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cooking needs, spices…anything you need. Lovely clean bathrooms stocked with all items needed. Very comfortable beds with lovely linens. This home is so very comfortable and welcoming. We had coffee on the deck by the water in the morning. Kayaks were waiting for a lovely trip up Taylor’s Creek. A beautiful screened porch was a lovely place for cocktails and to watch the sky change to beautiful colors as the sun set. The Northern Neck is a very special place and this home fits right in!! We will be back!!!!!

It’s a gem!

My wife and I stayed 5 wonderful days. The property had everything one could need on vacation. It was substantially better than any other property that we have stayed. There was only two occasions to contact Lynda both of which we received prompt responses. It deserves a rating greater than 5 stars! It was better than listing.

Best Rental Stay Ever

This is the best VRBO experience that we’ve ever had- from the proactive communication from the owners to the beautiful home to the easy check out process. The home itself is located at a wonderful site with a dock to use the available kayaks and paddle board. We walked in and marveled at how clean it is. We also enjoyed the decor and styling of the home. When we had visitors, they all commented on how beautiful and relaxing the home was. One visitor commented that she would like to stay there at a future date. Thank you to Lynda and Sandy for giving us a home away from home!

50th wedding anniversary

If I could give this home more stars I would. The kids tried kayaking and enjoyed it.We loved the deck by the dock and screened in porch. The house had a well equipped kitchen. The grounds were also beautiful. Our host was very responsive to our questions. We were only a few miles from Kilmarnock and enjoyed exploring the area. Would love to return.

Perfect place to unwind!

We used the house for a mommy weekend recharge! The waterfront property is beautiful and serene. You feel like you are in your own little slice of heaven with amenities a short drive away. Will rebook for sure!!!

Wonderful Stay

Another lovely stay on Taylor Creek! Incredibly quiet and peaceful. Lovely home equipped with all the comforts of home. Perfect for nature lovers and if you enjoy kayaking and paddle boarding as we do!
