Mother Daughter summer vacation

My mother and I traveled to St Augustine to visit my grandmother who resides in a nursing home there. The weather was typical Florida weather, hot with afternoon showers. We traveled with our dogs, they loved the back yard. It was a large back yard with plenty of shade. The house was in a wonderful neighborhood, it was quiet with friendly neighbors. The vicinity of the beach was an added bonus. We awoke early one morning to view the sunrise, wish we had done it more times then that once.

A very relaxing stay...

This is our 3rd year staying at this property and we love it! It has everything we need, a fenced yard for the dogs, a clean and neat home, and proximity to all the great things to see and do in St. Augustine.

Peaceful and Tranquil

Great location. Great neighbors. Absolutely beautiful beach just a short walk away. Relaxing to hear the ocean every evening while sitting out on the back patio. Be sure to visit the Black Molly for some of the best seafood you’ll ever eat.

Quite neighborhood close to the beach and a short drive to all St. Augustine has to offer.

Wonderful, quiet and roomy home with plenty of amenities for your stay. Super close to the beach and just a short drive to everything you'd like to see. The Host was wonderful to work with and is super professional and accommodating. Anastasia Island has quickly become one of our favorite places to visit.

Great location

The place is in a really good area near the beach. The house was big enough that allowed us the needed privacy to work remotely. Backyard was great for the dog.

A Great Place to Stay

This property is centrally located and very well stocked with everything needed to enjoy your visit. The house and property are very well maintained and the owner is very responsive to any inquiries. House is very comfortable and close to so many activities, beautiful beach and wonderful restaurant!

House is very comfortable and I loved the quite neighborhood!! I loved being so close to the beautiful beaches, the beautiful city of St. Augustine, the St. John's Pier and all the wonderful seafood restaurants in the area! The house also had all the comforts of home provided!

Great Location

Barbra was a pleasure to deal she answered all questions quickly. Her lovely home was exactly as described my wife, dog, and I really enjoyed the location. It was assessable to some great restaurants and entertainment places we really enjoyed our stay.

Great Beach Getaway

This was a great house and location. The house is clean, roomy and well equipped. We had everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves. And we were so glad we could bring our dog, Sammy, with us. The owner was available and easy to communicate with. We will be back.

Sweet and private, feels like home!

Had a wonderful stay at the house. Just a few minutes walk from the beach and the house had everything you could possibly need....beach umbrella, wagon, beach towels, cooler etc. Short drive to piers for fishing. Close to all the restaurants too! Loved how open and comfortable everything was. Would certainly visit again! Thank you Barbara!

Clean and Convenient

We have stayed with Barbara at this location before. A repeat performance was due to the cleanliness and convenient location. It did not disappoint. The house is well taken care of and maintained. Highly recommend. Barbara is always a pleasure to work with.

Amazing

Beautiful walk to the beach and also nice overlook of the intercoastal a few blocks from the house. Absolutely everything you need for your stay. Well stocked kitchen. Excellent fenced in back yard for dogs, very private. Host was exceptional as always. Great proximity to downtown, piers, beaches, parks etc. Mayday ice cream in St Augustine was the bomb. House was spotless and it's a great neighborhood. Did not want to leave.....

Very Helpful and responsive host

We were booked to rent this house and looking forward to our trip to St. Augustine. Leading up to our trip, I emailed our host several times with questions about the area and the house. Barbara always got back to me promptly and was very helpful and friendly. I was confident her rating as a "Premier Partner" by VRBO was well deserved. Unfortunately, a few days before our planned departure we had a medical emergency and had to cancel our trip, but our husband and I do hope to rent her home again in the future.

Quiet/ Peaceful/ Clean

We had the opportunity to stay the first week in May. The house was very nice with all the creature comforts of home. We brought our 5 year old Brittany Spaniel and the fenced yard was very convenient. The neighborhood is also very quiet. The beach was walk-able, and helped us get our daily exercise in. We had no idea St. Augustine was so pet friendly, it was nice. We took the dog for a swim in the ocean every morning. Last year we stayed in New Smyrna Beach and their beaches are NOT pet friendly. Did I mention Barbara, she was a pure delight to work with!

Perfect!

We absolutely loved our month at this rental. It was perfect in every way - the bed was super comfortable, the ac worked well, the kitchen was well equipped, the sun room was relaxing and Barbara the host was the best. She was communicative, very helpful and thoughtful. I especially love that she thinks of things other hosts often do not. For example, the window coverings in the bedroom actually room darken! Thank you!!!! The house is lovely in a great neighborhood close to the beach with a flashing crosswalk which makes a huge difference crossing A1A. It was such a wonderful month! We didn’t want to go home!

A home away from home

I have rented several homes and condos in the St. Augustine area over the past thirty years. By comparison this property was extremely clean, and all of the appliances were new, or like new and functional. Taking a risk, I didn't bring pots,pans, kitchen utensils, coffee pot.......didn't need them everything was there. I brought along paper products to last the week, which is standard. The TV and cable service were excellent....everyone was impressed with the selection available. The neighborhood is in a quiet residential area, with easy access to Publix , Winn Dixie, and St. Augustine. We have just made it home, and wish we were still there.....I will pencil this one in for next year.

Amazing amazing amazing

Super clean! Excellent fenced in yard for our dogs. Beautiful walk to the beach with a crosswalk right at the end of the neighborhood. Cannot say enough good things about the location. Parks and beaches all around the house. Rented a boat from Georgia boys for practically nothing and cruised a nearby lake all day. Great fishing all around the house. Little over an hour to several natural springs. Host was super nice. We cannot wait to return and stay longer than a week. I could go on forever about how perfect this house, host, location, and neighborhood is. Easy drive to literally everything in the St Augustine area. Flagler beach to the south had an unbelievably productive fishing pier. House has everything you need for cooking extremely well stocked kitchen and beach supplies. All the beds are super firm so we bought a three inch foam topper and solved that issue but we did bring it back with us. Wasn't a big enough issue to bother the host with. Unbelievable value for a dog friendly house that close to literally everything. We didn't want to lleave🥺.

Nice home but uncomfortable beds and construction across the street

This is a terrific home that is located on a very quiet side street just a few blocks from the beach. It is a clean home equipped with just about everything you might need for a great stay. We stayed for our honeymoon and vacation getaway with our 2-year-old Westie Sammy. So we needed a quiet space for our escape because currently we live in a construction zone and like most people, we work a lot of hours and we’re sleep deprived! So peace and quiet and comfortable beds were the key to us having a perfect vacation. After we read all the amazing reviews about this property we decided to rent Barbara's house. The main two reasons were a quiet neighborhood and the fenced backyard. Both didn’t disappoint. Unfortunately, in life, they say timing is everything! We woke up on Monday morning with the loud noise of earth moving equipment across the street. The lot was being cleared out to make way for a new home being constructed. Over the next two days, this didn’t cease for more than a few minutes. The house shook for two days! In addition, we didn't sleep all week due to the mattresses. For us, they were too firm and the worst was the master bedroom (mind you this was our honeymoon!) We also both have to live with chronic back pain so this really affected our stay. I had to sleep on a living room couch and my wife had to use a smaller bed in the spare bedroom. She used an extra comforter as a mattress topper. What made it worse was when we mentioned this to the owner we were told that everyone is different and no one ever complained before. This I find very hard to believe! The correct response would have been one of understanding rather than being defensive. She wasn't sensitive to our needs at all and it was a big turn off. I would have stayed here again on another vacation but the sleeping arrangements would have to be different. Overall, we had a great time. The house is neat and we had everything that we needed. The best feature was the shady backyard! Our dog really enjoyed it. Barbara was easy to communicate with prior to reserving the house and was very attentive as well. Steve

Steve...I truly wish you had communicated these items early on in your stay. I have another house VRBO 1309377 just 2 blocks away and it happened to be free for the majority of your stay and I would have gladly moved you over there. I was in regular communication with your wife prior to your stay for she had lots of questions and requests but unfortunately mattresses were not discussed. She wanted your stay to be perfect as I did. I work very hard for guests to have a 5* experience and in your case I waived the pet fee as a wedding present and accommodated a 4 hour earlier check-in. I had no idea about the construction for I am not in town during the summer and although I would like it to be different - that is something I have no control over. I wish you both all the best in your new life together and hope you can find fond memories of your time in Saint Augustine.

Awesome location, perfect vacation!

We really enjoyed our 6 week stay on Third Street. Easy commute to the beach by bike or walk. The house is very clean, spacious, and was perfect for our Labrador retriever. The fenced in yard also makes for a perfect stay with a dog. Barbara was a wonderful, attentive host. We will definitely stay here again when returning to St. Augustine! Don’t hesitate booking here, you won’t regret it!

Close to Beach in a Quiet Neighborhood

Loved staying in this home and cannot wait to come back. House was very clean with a nice fenced in backyard for the dogs to run around. Close to the beach in a quiet neighborhood with a small park close by for morning walks with the pets. Next door neighbor was very friendly and helped me with my flat tire the day I checked out. Would highly recommend staying in this beautiful home.

So comfy!

We were so pleased with how well appointed the house was…especially the kitchen! We had everything we needed to enjoy our week! We especially loved the back yard! And we all felt so safe in this very quiet, family neighborhood! Highly recommend!!!

What a vacation house should be!

We stayed for a week and really couldn't ask for anything more. The property was nice and everything was convenient as far as location and all the little extras included with it. Our two dogs were comfortable there, too. The neighborhood is quiet. Nights of lights in St. Augustine was beautiful! The property owner is very accommodating.

Best house ever,

This was our 3rd visit to this house and we still love it, Sunrise a few blocks one way, sunset a few blocks the other way. Barb communicates perfectly. So much to do in the area and this property makes you feel like you are coming home. Excited for our next stay,

My husband and I moved from our busy careers in Washington DC to settle in the State of his birth. We have adopted St. Augustine as our home and happily welcome friends and family to visit us here. My professional life was in hospitality with international hotels so I think carefully about the house and what guests would like on their vacation.

This property was bought as an investment and was particularly attractive because of its location. We enjoy being close enough to the main tourist attractions yet a little removed for the quiet and real life feel of the neighborhood. It's been a fun property to decorate and get ready for visitors.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The fenced in backyard and shade trees provide a perfect place to enjoy the outdoors while at home. We love being close to both the beach and the estuary where you can watch the beautiful sunsets and within a couple of blocks is a children's playground.
