The Neighborhood:
Welcome to Concrete, Washington—a picturesque town nestled where the Baker River meets the Skagit River. Enjoy outdoor adventures with hiking on Sauk Mountain, swimming and boating at Baker Lake, and exploring the stunning North Cascades National Park. Nearby Bow offers a charming downtown and the Farm to Market Bakery’s famous cinnamon rolls, while Chuckanut Drive leads to beautiful drives and Taylor Shellfish's fresh oysters.
In town, catch a movie or grab a treat at the local ice cream shop. Visit the historic tavern "The Hub," where Jeremy and Lisa offer a friendly welcome (children are welcome until 9PM). For casual dining, Cascade Drive-In serves hearty burgers, and Annie’s Pizza is a solid choice for a slice. Groceries are covered at Albert’s Red Apple and the Skagit Valley Food Coop, with fresh produce available at Waxwing Farms.
Concrete combines natural beauty with small-town charm, making it the perfect retreat for relaxation and exploration.

Other Things to Note:
> IMPORTANT <
Please note that this home does not have window coverings on many windows. It is located in a secluded area with little to no passers-by, and little to no direct viewing into the home from any road or sidewalk.
While there are some local grocery and food stores nearby, they offer limited selections and tend to be more expensive than major grocery stores. We recommend stocking up on essentials before your arrival to ensure you have everything you need during your stay. This will allow you to fully enjoy your time in the mountains without the need for long trips to restock supplies.
During the winter months, the roads can be slippery. We recommend that you have an AWD/4WD vehicle or bring chains with you. Our local road is plowed by the county, and we have a service that clears our driveway, but there may be times when snow and ice are still on the ground. During snowfall, it's common to see up to a foot of accumulation before the crew arrives. We provide a shovel in case you need to do some extra clearing between snowfalls.
Please remember that you’re staying in a house, not a hotel. We ask guests to please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on site 24/7.
Please note that we use a noise monitoring device in the home. It does NOT record actual sounds or conversations, it simply monitors the noise level (measured in decibels) in order to prevent parties.
Electricity Use
A daily electricity allowance of 75 kWh is included. This is more than enough for standard usage. Any excess will be billed at local utility rates and shared with guests after the stay.
