The Cozy Creamery was lovely! The property is just as cute as the photos show, everything was clean and well-kept, and the host was responsive to our messages. I highly recommend this listing as an option for all people looking for a lovely place to stay in the Plainville/Southington area!
Our stay was good until the lasti night, that's when we had a visitor. It was large RAT!!!. it was going through my bag on the counter that I had packed up to take to the car.Took my Grandsons Ramen noodles. My Grandson wa afraid.
A wonderful, cozy home. The home has all the needed amenities for 2 - 3 people. Having the washer/dryer was very helpful for a 5 day stay, since there were only 3 bathroom towels. Parking was a little tight and the area had quite a bit of truck traffic. But, the deck and inside accommodations made it more than tolerable. I would certainly stay at this home again when visiting in CT. And, the host was extremely amiable.
Property unclean, floors dirty with filthy rugs everywhere. A few towels provided but no bath cloths. Bathroom door was a thin, plastic closet door providing little privacy. It was an old property with small rooms filled with large furniture. Rats n the ceilings all night and they ate a full load of bread on our second night. We do not recommend this property.
If you're looking for a budget friendly option with an engaged and very responsive host, this will fit the bill! Worked exceptionally well for my sister and I in terms of location and its proximity to our family and events we were attending in the area, and that was truly our top priority. It is clear from the work being done that hosts care for and about the property. While a few minor comfort details could possibly be improved upon, the host was prompt and responsive to any concerns or questions.
A little hiccup when we arrived, cleaning lady showed up. It was quickly resolved, the property owner was very responsive. The property was cute, easy access from the highway, we were able to bring our dog and the Italian Cookie Box was delicious!
We chose the listing, grateful to have it be pet-friendly, but ran into a few hiccups. Check-in was scheduled for 4pm, but we were unable to get in until 5:20pm because the cleaner, with her 3 dogs, was running late. We reached out to Alexander, whoâs response seemed focused on our mention of the cleanerâs dogs rather than the delay. The trash and dishwasher were still full, with a used bar of soap in the shower. He sent a message overnight that a contractor would be coming at 10am to fix the dryer. Due to having plans in the morning and not wanting to leave our dogs alone with a stranger, we requested a change to the schedule. In the end, we altered our plans for the contractor who did not show until noon and not done until after 2pm, taking up valuable visiting time. We were notified the contractor needed to return to repair broken pipes, which interrupted our water service and delayed our evening reservations to ensure our dogs would not have visitors. The apartment is on a walkable street near a sanitation company whose trucks beep and pass by. If you have noise-sensitive pets like ours, just be aware. All reviews seem positive, so this seemed just a set of issues that could not be helped. Weâre sure the house issues were stressful for Alexander, too. Our main issues were waiting to enter and the repair work, since we hoped to spend our time visiting. We did have a box of cookies waiting for us from the local Italian bakery, which was very thoughtful!
What a delightful find. The house is warm and inviting with a gorgeous deck. It's a cool combo of modern and retro-original. The host is personable and inviting. So many little details added up to a relaxing and comfortable stay.
This property has some potential as a rental for a short stay, but it definitely falls short in its current conditions relative to the price. It is small, cozy, and resides on a quiet street. HOWEVER, we found many basic details of the place to be lacking and disappointing. Some surfaces were dusty. The bathroom had no hand towels and only 2 bath towels for a group of 3 of us. One of the towels was stained. There was no coffee, tea or sugar available in the kitchen. One of the remotes for a ceiling fan had no batteries. There was no soap or body wash in the shower, no shampoo, and also no laundry detergent. The pillowcases were not freshly cleaned, and the bed sheets seemed to be old. There were no clothes hangers for our coats. And the handle on the bathroom sink was loose and fell off. For the price, I would expect these kinds of amenities to be standard and provided, as they are in any 3 star hotel, which is cheaper.
