A-Frame, Pikes Peak View, Hot-tub, No Cleaning Fee
Welcome to our brand-new, stylish A-frame house, offering perfect Pikes Peak views! Situated by a serene lake and surrounded by BLM land, it's a true slice of paradise. You're just 10 minutes from the exciting new Victor Troll and the quaint towns of Cripple Creek and Victor. Woodland Park is a short 30-minute drive away. After exploring, relax in our hot tub or enjoy the outdoor firepit under the stars. It's the ultimate spot for a fun and peaceful getaway!
It had everything we needed, it was clean, in quiet area, awesome view. It did not disappoint. The location was great, we were close to towns but still had the privacy we desired. We would definitely stay there again.
Hot tub: royal pain. Spent 3 hours dealing with filling it up, TWO unannounced visits from repair guys (one where our privacy was interrupted). The hot tub was nice, when it worked. Ugh. And this was AFTER I asked via phone to make sure the hot tub would be ready. Coffee maker: worst everGas stove: Fire hazard. Controls are on backward?Bathroom sink: half cloggedLinens: Not positive these were clean. Some pillows had no cases. Not enough blankets and no extras.Front door: broken handle, but did lock Hosts: did not send a message about how to check in (door code etc) and we had to call. Did not send a message about how to check out eitherâso communication was basically zeroDespite all of this, the place is gorgeous and had pretty much everything we needed. No ice trays or ice maker. Well stocked with soap.
I donât recommend anyone with any medical equipment, that needs power, to stay here for their own safety. The smoke detector that I assume was also the carbon monoxide detector wasnât installed. The hot tub did not work, even if it did, the water was murky. When I contacted the host, they said they would contact an electrician and then never followed up. Our first full day there the power went out (perfect weather conditions, no storms). While that isnât the ownerâs fault, after talking to locals, thatâs a frequent thing in Cripple Creek. Without power we had no water and no WIFI. You rely on WIFI because there is no reception there. We had to drive 2 miles away to contact the host. They said they had no estimated time that the power would come back on. I understand that the power being out is no oneâs fault but weâre already in a home that we booked solely for the hot tub, that doesnât work and weâre honestly just upset. The host hasnât responded to my last three messages.
I messaged the host for check-in instructions on the first day of our vacation. I did not receive a reply, but we were already en route to the home. When we arrived at the home, there were two vehicles in the driveway, and the gate was closed. I messaged the host again, and again, received no reply. I then attempted to call the host. When Jonathan answered, he said that he thought he had canceled the reservation, and asked me to hold, at which point he hung up on me. When I tried to call him back, he would not answer. He then canceled my reservation, and we were forced to find a last-minute place to stay. The host apparently lacks common decency as he never even tried to apologize for the inconvenience. This place is on my very short list of places to never book again!
