Monarch Landing, A Cozy Cabin w/360 Mountain Views
Wake up to the sound of birds and wildlife, lounge on the deck under the pine trees with a cup of coffee, gaze up at the stars while laying in the hammock, and cozy up in front of the wood fireplace. Monarch Landing is a true getaway! Fully remodeled, it offers 2 spacious bedrooms and a sleeper sofa. Nestled deep in the desirable Cripple Creek Mountain Estates, youâd never guess that you're only 7 minutes from the casinos and nightlife of downtown Cripple Creek.
High up in the mountains at over 9,500 feet, our cozy spot is surrounded by nature's buddies like chipmunks, foxes, and even the occasional bear. Just a heads up, sometimes mice might pop into the cabin to keep cool or warm up. They're just looking for a little comfort, just like the rest of us!
This place was great for a quiet getaway away. Pretty good privacy and seclusion. Nice cabin and great beds. Nice views. Host was great. Iâd stay again anytime.
We loved the cabin and location. Loved sitting outside and enjoying the view of the mountains. The cabin is in a great location. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and had all that we needed for our stay. We would love to go back.
We had a great time here with our family and my in laws! We have two little ones who loved exploring all around outside. Was so nice to be out with beautiful views and still have all the comforts of home. Highly recommend!
Adam and Dana were great. Adam was quick to respond with answers to questions. The cabin was better than advertised. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend get-a-way and would definitely stay at Monarch Landing again.
We stayed at Monarch Landing as a weekend getaway from Denver. The house was STUNNING! Well appointed and decorated. Excellent communication from Adam (host). We will definitely stay again in the future.
This was a great stay - the cabin was awesome and I'm in love with it! We had no major issues and it was great to chill out and relax in such beautiful scenery. I hope to come back again!
Thank you for the hospitality! You didnât happen to find some cowboy boots there? We may have left a pair. Other than that we had a great time please reach out if you have them 936-404-6624
We enjoyed our stay! The place is so clean and is cozy. Our girls had fun with the toys that were in the cabin. The owner was in great communication whenever we had questions. I highly recommend the place. It is in a beautiful location. We went to Pikes Peak, Garden of Gods, Mueller State Park, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and hiked 7 Bridges/Helen Hunt Falls.
We stayed two nights in this wonderful house. There was a lovely walk on a private road right below the cabin leading to a small stream. Great views and the place was spotless. Be sure and follow the hosts instructions on how to get there. GPS was not accurate. But the host provides excellent instructions.
Adorable, clean, stocked with all the essentials. This place was exactly what we were hoping for. The sunrise and sunset views are to die for. We even had a little deer friend stop by, and saw quite a few elk on the drive in. We were very comfortable up in the mountains despite us being from a more urban area. Wi-Fi was great, plenty of hot water, food/laundry/hygiene basics all provided. The grill, board games, snuggly blankets, and TV options were just the icing on the cake! The road getting to the cabin is not paved and winds up and around the mountain, so that was a little scary but nothing our SUV couldnât easily handle. Thereâs a convenience store about 10-15 minutes away if you need anything too. Loved our stay here!
After arriving to the cabin we were surprised and disappointed on the parking situation. Definitely not ideal, especially if there is snow on the ground. Our time was cut short due to a snow storm. Having only been there for one night when we booked three, we asked for a refund on our other two nights, hoping we may be able to get some money back since we were there less than 24 hours. However, the communication with the host was very disappointing. Having only received one response over a day later and no more responses after that. As far as the cabin, itâs very nice and cozy.
We love Colorado & this cozy cabin was perfect. Had plenty of space, very quiet & easily accessible to the quaint town of Cripple Creek. The cabin was everything the listing describes & had all of the necessities to make the stay relaxing. I definitely recommend this cozy spot to anyone.
We will be back soon! .
Property is beautiful. Well decorated and updated. It will provide you with a breath taking view of the Colorado mountains. Plus the quiet getaway from the city. Would definitely stay again!
Loved the property and location especially having kids under 10. We did it all! Sledded on property, garden of the gods; day trip to Breckenridge; jail at cripple creek, shopped manitou (pikes peak was closed); relaxed by the fire and found the best little wood fire pizza place. Appreciated that the house was kid friendly w games and sleds. We will def be back.
Cozy cabin, very quiet and peaceful. The location is great for getting to lots of cool places. Loved the walk just right in front of the cabin. We had 7 of us in all, and the cabin was perfect. Very clean and inviting. We loved the porch and the beautiful views.
My husband and I stayed here for a week as a couplesâ getaway while seeing the sites in the area. The cabin is just as cute as in the photos. Itâs very clean and I love that youâre not allowed to wear shoes in the house because I felt comfortable crashing on the rug to watch tv. Previous guests left cupboard food which was really nice as we cooked all of our own meals and the spices came in handy. We payed it forward and left some canned goods and various non perishable food items as well for the next guests. I highly recommend buying groceries in Woodland Park at Safeway or Walmart before you head up because there arenât much in the way of stores around. We stopped at Trader Joeâs and Costco in Colorado Springs when we landed.
The owners are very accessible and quickly helped us with any concerns we had.
The decor in the cabin is adorable and everything is perfect! We canât wait to come back.
Our names are Dana and Adam and we have two little ones named Poppy and Felix. We purchased the cabin back in November 2020 and have since renovated much of it. We have always wanted to host a Vrbo and while looking all around Colorado, fell in love with Cripple Creek. We especially cherish the peacefulness, routine visits from wildlife, and bright stars at night. We hope you enjoy it here as much as we do and please leave us a review after your stay.
