This is a lovely, quiet and peaceful place to stay with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. It was clean and tidy It would have been a perfect stay if the AC was working, and would have been more tolerable despite the AC issue if the host had been more responsive and quick to take care of it or at least offer some kind of apology and/or compensation. The AC was not working well when we got there. This was not the fault of the host, it is just one of those things that happens. However, the host did not respond to the concern right away. When she did, she took a "wait and see" attitude instead of sending someone right over. The second night of our stay, it was 82 degrees in the house, we were all hot and sticky, and no one slept well. The host tried to tell us that it works fine, it was just hot outside. Then she tried to tell us that we broke it by trying to turn it too low. When she finally sent an HVAC person, he said that the condenser was broken and had to be replaced. So two large portable units were brought in. This helped if we were standing right in front of them, but it was the afternoon on the third day, and we were trying to get ready for a family wedding with it almost 80 degrees in the house. All of this time, there was never once any kind of apology, even after trying to blame us for the problem. I advise the host to work on communication skills and typical social graces.
