This little split level cottage is very modern and comfortable. It features a double bed and a single sofa sleeper, fully stocked kitchen, bathroom with shower,a-c,wi-fi,flat screen TV,deck with furniture, and a Weber charcoal grill. It has a sliver of a lake view as it is located at the top of the hill. On the shared lakefront, there are kayaks, paddleboards, and a pontoon boat to rent. Swimming is done off of the piers as we have a rocky retaining wall.
The property was very well kept, and perfect for the weekend getaway. Itâs on the lake, with just a short walk down the path. Frank was very responsive to questions and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!
I took my dad here as his 60th birthday/Fatherâs Day/retirement gift. We both loved the place. We loved the town. Plus itâs only 20 minutes from Madison. Thereâs a lot to do around the area other than being on the lake. The cabin we had (#3) was perfect size for the two of us. Bathroom was small but it had enough shelf space for everything. Place came with all the essentials in the kitchen and bathroom (no soap or shampoo though). It was a full kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and toaster. Free WiFi. Deck with our own charcoal grill with chairs and table. Thereâs kayaks, paddle boat and long boards that costs $10 a day for all 3 for each person. Which is cheaper than most places. You can fish off the pier and go swimming right off of the property (bring water shoes, rocky bottom). Iâd definitely come back here with my friends and for a work vacation.
We had a fabulous time at the cabins during our midwestern road trip. Frank was very friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy and we arrived to find the cabin super clean. The cabin is small but the size is well utilized and we felt comfy. They had everything we needed for simple cooking. What you canât quite tell from this listing is that itâs a small colony of cabins of various size and distance to the lake. Despite that, it felt very remote and we had a ton of time to ourselves. We especially enjoyed reading by the lake and going out in the kayaks (there are kayaks, paddle boards, and a pontoon and fishing boat available to rent for additional fee). We were sad to drive away, and hope to find our way back to the cabin one day soon!
My fishing partner and I have been fishing together for 38 years. In that period of time have had a lot of different experiences with our accommodations. Crown Point was the best yet. Frank could not be any more accommodating or more gracious a host. Clean, Quite and comfortable. Will book our 2015 Spring trip here soon.
Wonderful experience. The cabin we stayed in was so cute - perfect for a couple wanting to get away from the city. It is close to Madison - for the farmers' market - and there is a wide choice of places to eat in the quaint town of Stoughton. Frank - the owner - was extremely helpful, and readily available. It is one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed, and the atmosphere is much more relaxed than any hotel. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the number of stairs getting down to the water - something to think about if you are traveling with the elderly. Overall, we would highly recommend Crown Point and will definitely come again.
My husband & I had a wonderful time at the cottage. It was very clean and well maintained. Frank was a gracious host. We hope to be back again next year!
My wife and I stayed at Crown Point and we had a great time. The cabin was clean and we had all the comforts of home. Frank was a very kind and gracious host. We hope to visit again soon.
