Brittany must have multiple listings and it seems like they might not be good at keeping them organized. I booked this location which the driving directions stated they were on a specific street. When I got the check in instructions days before my trip it stated a whole new street that looked like a hotel address. I messaged Brittany but had to get VRBO customer service involved to get Brittany to reply to my message. They told me that the apartment pictured was no longer available and then sent me an address to a 3rd apartment on a new street different than the check in address and the driving directions. Huh? The apartment we ended up with was not pictured but was still nice. Luckily we got in okay and everything was clean and orderly, but this check in process was a nightmare!

The place itself was fine and appeared similar to actual place on the âBeautiful Bushwick Oasisâ posting. The host informed us of the address switch the day before we arrived to New York for our trip and switch us to another apartment at 287 Wyckoff Avenue. The location was still in bushwick, but not close to the original location at 19 Bogart Street in Brooklyn. The Wyckoff apt was furnished with the same IKEA style furniture, but based off the pics- it seemed slightly smaller and not as nice as the one advertised.During our trip, the apt was easy enough to access using the key or via the access codes. This apt was thankfully close to the subway as that was a factor in us booking the original place, so we were glad the switch-up didnât make getting around more difficultFYI, the Wyckoff apt has 2 bedrooms each with queen beds, a couch, one bathroom, and a small kitchen. The rooms seemed smaller than the ones from the original posting, but at least there were AC units in every room. Fair warning about the beds- the mattresses are loud af if you move around and are not the most comfortable. The bathroom was okay, but the shower is finicky trying to adjust the cold and hot water. Also, the neighbors upstairs are super loud early mornings and late at night, so good luck youâre a light sleeper! Overall- the Wyckoff apt did the job (a place to sleep and get ready for the day), but I was expecting better considering the price we paid for the 5 days we stayed here.
Owners changed our stay to a different apartment, so we were not actually at this address. The property we stayed in was clean and comfortable. It was easy to check-in and owners responded to questions quickly.
The place was very clean- entry was easy as soon as we realized how to find the touchpad :)Super convenient via subway if needed. I ended up driving on this trip, and found street parking easily (and within one block).Would highly recommend!
I want to emphasize that the property that we stayed in was not the same property as this review. I booked this property with the green living room but at the last minute the owner had to change me to a different property. I don't know why and I was suspicious and concerned. However, the different property the owner moved me to was very nearby and was absolutely lovely. It was clean and nice and relatively new and well appointed. So we had a lovely time.
The place was perfect for my husband and my parents really close to the Subway and quiet at night! Brittany was great at communicating with us about the check in and all. Great place.
Great but missing salt and pepper, hand soap and one frying pan that should be replaced - other than, great location in vibrant neighborhood, very comfortable for 2 people.
Let me start by saying the apartment we ended up is was clean, cute, and well maintained. It was close to my daughter and where we hosted her baby shower. However, the listing advertised is not accurate and misrepresents where we actually ended up staying. After 4 addresses provided, I finally got the correct one. I asked prior to booking about the ability to accommodate 6 adults and was assured the unit would accommodate that many people. The day before my flight I was informed the unit was smaller than the original listing and that it would be âtight but doableâ to fit 6 adults. Tight is an understatement, two guests ended up having to stay with my daughter and her husband and I had to refund them their share of the cost. So not only did we have to inconvenience my daughter and son in law, I am now footing the entire bill for this stay. This unit is made for 3 people max to be comfortable, 4 is tight but doable, but 6 people, no way. I will be reaching out to VRBO to see if I can get any compensation due to the misrepresentation. Other than that, the host communicated quickly and was helpful when I called VRBO about the 4 addresses to make sure I wasnât being scammed. The unit is cute, clean and good location, just very very small and needs to be advertised as such so people know in advance how many people the unit can accommodate.
The unit was spacious, comfortable and clean. Plenty of room for our whole family to relax and regroup. The M line and L line were very close to the apartment which was the highlight of our stay. The neighborhood is vibrant with street vendors, we had some killer al pastor tacos from a stand just steps away from the front door. We would stay at Brittanyâs home again on future visits
We were sent to the wrong property. The address listed took us to a homeless shelter where the director said a similar situation had happened the week before. Btw, the same pictures are still on the listing; they are not accurate. The place we landed was clean and nice but the stove did not work and there were four towels and no blankets though I had booked for four adults and four teenagers. The listing was three blocks from the subway so a great location. Some people may find it noisy at night - the locals were lively. I felt the host was disingenuous about her listing and unprepared for our booking.

A week in Bushwick
This review is for the apartment on Wyckoff Ave, not the Stanhope address. We were switched to the new place just 3 days prior to our arrival. The original place was closer to the people we were visiting, so the change of location was a bit disappointing. If youâre just looking for a place to sleep in Brooklyn, this place is fine. The apartment is on a busy street, but itâs close to restaurants, groceries, and public transportation. If you are looking for additional amenities such as a working stove and oven, pots and pans that are damaged, or even salt and pepper, look elsewhere. A coffee maker is provided, but there is no coffee or filters. The gas stove doesnât work (no gas) so a single burner hot plate is available to make your meals. One butter knife, a steak knife, and a plethora of forks and spoons will help you consume your take-home meals. The bathroom is a little dated with a worn toilet seat and a medicine cabinet that is falling apart. Water pressure is low, so expect longer showers. Make sure to bring your own body wash and shampoo, as none are provided. Beds were comfortable, but the pillows were quite stiff. Earplugs are provided to help with the street noises.Iâd consider staying here again if some of the issues were addressed. The overall experience fell short of expectations.
The apartment is close to lots of casual dining options, and in convenient proximity to subways. Ubers were immediately available too. Host was very responsive to our inquiries about local spots etc.
We stayed at this property for 5 days. It is relatively close to LaGuardia Airport and easy to find. It truly is in a neighborhood with a bodega and several small restaurants within walking distance (try Gordo's Cantina on St Nicholas). The apartment was adequately furnished and clean, the beds were comfortable. It appears that it has recently been painted and updated. The hallways and elevator were also very clean. The property manager was very responsive to any questions throughout the visit. The DeKalb subway entrance is 1/2 block away. The only oddity was when we received our VRBO confirmation, the address was a totally different property. The manager kept stressing to use the address she e-mailed. She explained that the property was just listed and they were working it out but there are reviews from November. All in all, we were pleased with our stay and would rent the apartment again and/or recommend it to friends.
this was an awesome little pad for our trip to bushwick. comfortable, well located and perfect size. landlord also very nice. we had trouble with the wifi and she quickly fixed it. highly recommend.
This was a fun place to stay in Brooklyn. The apartment felt clean and modern. I loved the ownerâs selection of books about art, decor and other topics. There was lots of fun stuff to browse. I also loved the live plants. Such a nice touch in a busy city. The property manager was responsive, and accommodating. The two beds were comfortable and there were thoughtful touches like earplugs and blackout curtains, which were both appreciated. I knew it was Brooklyn, and the neighborhood was about what I expected, but the apartment building felt secure. This apartment was exactly what we needed for our stay. We had exploration in mind, and the subway was a half block away, so the location made it easy to get around.
Overall, the stay went well. It's extremely loud and hard to sleep and very cold when the temperature outside drops at night. The location was great and the apartment was clean and tidy. Once we found the place, the check-in process was pretty seamless. The property manager was easy to reach with a question.
