Bungalow 2BR 1B récemment rénové près de la plage ! Coin salon parfait sur le porche avec barbecue moderne pour les grillades. Accessible à pied jusqu'à Abbot Kinney ("la rue la plus cool des États-Unis" - GQ mag), les meilleurs restaurants du côté ouest et la plage/océan. Le salon relaxant comprend une connexion Wi-Fi et une télévision connectée à Internet.
La cuisine ouverte permet l'interaction avec le salon. Salle de bain entièrement rénovée - douche massive, double vasque. 2BR comprend des lits Queen très confortables et des draps frais. Entrée privée devant et cour arrière.

Great Stay

We enjoyed our selves so much. Our 5 year old daughter loved exploring the small yard. We loved watching the humming birds from the front patio. The house has everything you need. The kitchen has so many helpful supplies for cooking. Walking around the neighborhood was a joy. Parking was so easy, the street is so quiet and calm. The location is great. We’d love to come back.

Wonderful 12 day stay

We couldn't have been happier with our stay in this comfortable home in an excellent pocket of MDR. From the sunny front deck and the comfortable beds to the immaculate condition of the home and the friendly hosts...we felt truly lucky to have landed on this great accommodation in the middle of July for our little family get together. We were 4 adults...our adult kids joined us...and there was space for everyone. Our very tall son loved the pull out sofa in the 'garage.' Thanks for letting us use the bikes too! We hope to be back! If its available, book it.

Perfect Location

We loved this rental, it was in the perfect quiet location, walk to the beach. The house was the perfect size for us. We loved the front yard and spent a lot of time out there. It's in the perfect location to visit several neighboring cities, Malibu, Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. We hit up a couple of places the hosts recommended and enjoyed everything. The price was right!

EXCELLENT!!

Could not have been better.. from location to amenities.. owners were very interactive and worked hard to get us an early check in . Location is perfect.. walking distance to many spots. Neighborhood is beautiful.. house had every amenity needed and then some.. front and back outdoor seating was a bonus. Will be our go to now that our son has moved to LA .. you will not be disappointed..

Spring break 2022

The house was AMAZING. Furnishings were top notch; neighborhood was so quiet and very safe. WiFi worked really well for all of us. Easy to find parking nearby if not always right in front of house. Out oldest kid slept in the "garage" room and loved the big screen tv & comfy pull-out sofa. Large W/D for use and we really appreciated the water dispenser! Double sink in bathroom and extra-large shower with two shower heads. The water pressure has been mentioned before so I'll say this - it was intense and did not feel good on a sunburn but would not stop me from staying again. If you have a toddler I would actually ask if the pressure could be turned down as it was that strong. This rental is a gem for families with all kitchen amenities provided. Scott, the friendly neighbor, is a bonus as well. Sad we only met him the day before we left. I would say that having the fridge and freezer cleaned out after every stay would be a must-do as it doesn't take long for left-over food to pile up. The owner came by to get some packages and was kind enough to take away some of the freezer items left by prior renters so we would have room for food we bought. There was a lot of food in the fridge too, cut up lemons and expired items that took up a lot of space so it's my recommendation to have this cleaned out better each time. The pantry cabinets were also jammed packed with food that really could be cleaned out thoroughly. My last recommendation would be to clean out or "hide" the personal items better, so it felt more like a VRBO home then feeling like you were house sitting. Lock or close off the personal side of the closets where you have stuff that is not for use by renters and a clean out of the bathroom toiletries that have been left behind, so each new renter had space for their own stuff. The shower shelves and bathroom cabinets were packed with items leaving only the counter for your things. All in all, we LOVED the house and would most definitely stay again, even with jam packed cabinets!

Marina del Rey bungalow

Charming and cozy bungalow in a quiet neighborhood close to many attractions including Venice canals and beach. House very comfortable. Highest marks for the amazing shower and comfortable beds. The outdoor deck furniture great spot for afternoon nap. David was very responsive and a great host.

Excellent location in Marina del Rey

This property is convenient to access all that Marina del Rey , Venice, and Santa Monica have to offer . The kitchen is well appointed and appreciated since we cooked most of our meals., We were limited in going out due to my husband’s surgery in the area .

Perfect location and as described

Property was great and area quiet but near to everything, like abbot Kinney. Ample parking. Beds were comfortable. Only mild complaint is the shower pressure was so hard!! Almost painful. Maybe turn that down :)

MDR cozy home

A wonderful getaway in Marina del Rey

We visited David's cottage for a short stay in LA before seeing our daughter off to college, and we enjoyed our time there so much, we wish we could have stayed longer. The neighborhood is lovely, great for dog-walking, and the neighbors very welcoming. The quiet of the street makes for a great contrast to the busyness of Washington Boulevard, but at the same time, the beach, shopping, and restaurants are only minutes away. David was an accommodating and genial host, and the house had everything we needed. It was so relaxing to have morning coffee or afternoon drinks out on the deck. Can't wait to return!

Absolute amazing! Wish we could stay all year!

A slice of heaven … beautiful home and perfect location. We have enjoyed our stay here immensely and Rose and David were so welcoming and helpful. The neighborhood is quiet with plenty of parking — the front patio is perfect all hours of the day to relax and enjoy the California beach weather. We enjoyed the bikes they left for us to take a leisurely ride to the Venice and Santa Monica boardwalk- not to far away at all— and walking distance to the trendy Abbott Kinney street with the most amazing restaurants. We’ve loved every minute of our stay and would definitely return!

Great VRBO in Marina Del Ray!!

David was a wonderful host and his home is just adorable. Everything was as promised. Most important to us - Beds were so comfy and great. Lots of pillow choices. Water pressure in shower fantastic. Ceiling fans in all rooms help with breeze. Would stay again.

Great Property!

Everything was fantastic! Only downfall was that the listing said walking distance to beach, restaurants, etc. but for those of us that are athletically challenged, it was misleading :). Great neighbor, great host and the front porch was perfect for morning coffee and chatting with neighbor. Everyone we encountered was super-friendly. Would stay again!

A Wonderful Stay

My 13 year old son and I spent 8 days in the Venice CA area. The home we stayed in was absolutely perfect for us. The neighborhood was safe, clean, and located near everything you could possibly need : Beach, grocery stores, pharmacies, and many excellent restaurants- David (home owner) provided some of their favorite places as well. The home was beautiful, clean and inviting. The patio furniture was comfortable and the yard was amazing and lovely. We were able to enjoy outdoors right from the front yard (favorite place to watch birds and nature while enjoying the beautiful colorful yard and plants), they also have a great neighbor that had great suggestions for out of towners visiting! The home was well stocked ( extra paper towels, toilet paper etc ) had extra towels and linens plus a washer and dryer. David was very responsive, friendly and available for any questions or issues (we had no issues). Communication with was great and easy, David provided information via email and also provided an information packet upon arrival. My teenager loved having a room where he could watch his favorite programs on Hulu, Netflix and Prime and mom could be in the front room watching her favorites too. There were bikes to ride around the neighborhood, board games and it was not far from the beach (we spent a lot of time in Maui and Venice Boardwalk). I highly recommend this home if you are visiting the Venice area. When we come back to visit we hope it will be here again!!! Thank you!

Where to start?! David’s home is in a beautiful neighborhood close to Venice beach and Abbott Kinney shopping. Lots of amenities including bikes, a grill, relaxing front patio in the sun, plush master bed, and a double shower with great water pressure. David was a pleasure to work with in the lead up to our reservation, and would totally recommend staying at his property.

Nothing makes us happier than when we receive a review from a guest who was completely satisfied with our home while they were enjoying west LA and Marina Del Rey/Venice/Santa Monica/Malibu. For those visiting those are the famed areas from south to north.
We are also avid foodies. To that end, please bear with us while we provide some of our faves, below:

LOCAL FAVES
Scopa - walking distance. Great selection of spirits. Hearty italian. We love the meatballs, the calamari and the pasta dishes.

Wabi on Rose - a bike ride or 5 min car ride. Great sushi! Make sure you try the Rick James Roll.

The Butcher’s Daughter - Vegetarian restaurant on Abbot Kinney. Great Brunch. Delicious watermelon mimosa.

The Lobster - At the edge of the Santa Monica pier. Looks like a tourist trap from the outside but has delicious seafood, specifically, its namesake.

Shutters - if you could have one last glass of afternoon rose before you die, my spot would be here. Right on the ocean in Santa Monica, impeccable views. Food is decent, not great.

Abbot Kinney Street - named the “coolest street in America” by GQ magazine. Great shops and restaurants.

Coffee fans will want to try any/all of: Blue Bottle Coffee, TOMS coffee (great hideaway lawn in the backyard), Intelligentsia coffee is legendary also.
Restaurants - Gjelina has been popular for years. We also love The Tasting Kitchen

If you decide to take a trip to Manhattan Beach don’t miss these restaurants:

Manhattan Beach Post (MBP) - A favorite brunch spot, but dinner is also great. Throw your diet to the wind and spring for a biscuit. Worth the carbs, promise.
The Strand - expansive glass and views of the ocean. Great salads/service and other menu options. Lunch or dinner both work.
Fishing With Dynamite - Great seafood and oysters. I like equally (actually a bit better) to MBP

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This neighborhood is a tucked away, quiet pocket adjacent to some of the best things to do/restaurants/walks/hikes in all of Los Angeles. We love saying hi to passing neighbors in the community as they walk by with their dogs. We love going on casual bike rides in the quiet streets or to destinations like Abbot Kinney, the boardwalk and to see friends.

Our property has a unique benefit of being quiet, away from the noise...and at the same time we have access to restaurants and vibrancy of Marina Del Rey. Also it is rare to have a home in MDR (vs a condo or apt) and we have tree lined streets for added character.
