This unique retreat offers a living room, bedroom, 2 queen beds, 2 twin beds and 2 full baths. Includes outdoor seating with fire pit and gas grill. It’s a perfect scenic getaway with 360 degree views of Lake Murray! Enjoy amenities such as Wi-Fi, HVAC, refrigerator, 65 inch Smart TV. And "new" in 2025 two Lifetime Kayaks. This is literally right on the water, as close as you can get without falling in! The property itself was very clean and comms with the host were great. They even let me in before check-in since my flight was early. That being said, the property is just... odd. It is essentially a finished gazebo / boathouse, so there are no "rooms" in the traditional sense (other than the bathrooms of course). You park off the main house driveway, and then walk through the backyard of the main house to get to the gazebo property. Again, not bad, just odd feeling like you're walking through someone's backyard to get to your rental. I did appreciate the large amounts of sheets and clean linens provided. Quiet and relaxing.

Thank you for your review. You are correct, our Gazebo Cottage is unique. In fact, we use the words “One-of-a-Kind” in our VRBO promotion. The cottage is positioned at the water’s edge. With unobstructed views of both sunrise and sunset. Both, the ground-level porch and upstairs deck face beautiful Lake Murray. The open floor plan concept with Florida Room make this cottage unique. Truly, One-of-a-Kind.

The property and scenery was beautiful. The Rizzo's were amazing and extremely accommodating. I was nervous about being so close to the owners. Main property but was an absolutely amazing stay that I highly recommend and I cannot wait to return.

Weekend Girls Trip

My friends and I had an absolute blast at this cottage! The view was one of our favorite things about it. We specifically enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, swimming along the pier and kayaking. Very safe and fun place for a vacation. The owners were very responsive and very kind. We would recommend it to anyone looking to go to Lake Murray! 10/10 stay!

Had an amazing time staying at this home for the weekend. Host was extremely accommodating and had the place fully stocked with all needed amenities. Views were unbelievable, and as typical the pictures do not do it near justice. We will definitely be coming back.

Our wedding weekend

We booked this amazing gazebo cottage for our wedding weekend. Mrs. Rizzo was so sweet and brought us a couple vases filled with beautiful flowers. They were perfect hosts! The only thing more perfect was the incredible views of the lake! It is a truely a one of a kind experience and we cant wait to book again for our one year anniversary!

A unique gazebo cottage located behind owner’s home with spectacular views surrounded by water. Perfect for a long weekend. Plenty of seating and sleeping options. Very cool that you have access to your own dock. 2 full bathrooms with excellent water pressure. Lots of towels and linens provided. Highly recommend!

Awesome Experience!!

Our stay was truly the most relaxing time we’ve had in a long while. The accommodations were exceptional and the host went above and beyond for us. It was my fiancés birthday weekend and they threw in happy birthday balloons for no additional charge. Kept us stocked with fire wood. They even alllowed us to stay a bit longer on check out day for last minute fishing! I would definitely love to stay again and again. Also, the property is just stunningly beautiful! Thanks so much to the Rizzo’s!! Hope to see you both again!

Absolutely Fantastic!

This is truly a unique property. Im not gonna lie, I spent alot of time wondering how this little gazebo came to be. Could I have asked? Absolutely. But some things are best left to the imagination. The pictures do not do it justice. You just have to experience it. We spent early mornings either on the balcony or patio. We did bring our boat and 2 jet skis. It was nice having access to a private ramp. There was enough room to park 2 trailers, 2 trucks, and another vehicle comfortably at the residence. The dock was big enough to secure all 3 to it. It was even more amazing when lit up at night. I, like many am very apprehensive about staying at a property where the owners are on site. I dont know why, we're not a loud unruly group. Don't let that deter you here. We stayed 9 nights. Peter and Jan have mastered the art of letting you feel comfortable. They checked in to ask if we needed anything. Our 2 young adult kids (20 and 22 years old) were there for half the stay. Our daughter slept on the daybed which is also a trundle bed. And our son slept on the couch which pulls out to a queen bed. Both kids said they were comfortable. The master has a queen bed as well. It too was comfortable. The gazebo has 2 full bathrooms which was nice. The shower pressure was phenomenal. If you're on the fence about booking this then let this be your sign to go ahead and book it!
