Location + Nearby
Dine alfresco at the picnic table to savor the sunset! Visit J&P’s farm market to pick up fresh eggs and local fruits for breakfast. Don’t feel like cooking at home? Stroll to Gateway Lunt’s Lobster Pound, Downeast Lobster Pound, or Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound.
We have the luxury of being just feet from the bridge that leads to MDI and Acadia National Park but that also means that we are on the main artery that leads to the park. It gets busy with road traffic from Route 3 and air traffic from the small BHB airport. If you are a light sleeper and want to be deep in nature, this may not be the best spot for you. If you are looking for a relaxed, rustic vibe with what we consider to be the very best location to get to all things Acadia?! This IS your spot. Be sure to ask about earplugs or a white noise machine if you’re concerned about traffic noise.
Built in 1840, Isleview Motel & Cottages has some of the oldest most historic buildings in the town of Trenton. Trenton has a small-town atmosphere where residents and visitors can enjoy the Gulf of Maine with easy access to nearby services. Trenton, like many towns in coastal Maine, often hosts local events, festivals, and fairs celebrating the area’s maritime heritage and culture. These events can range from seafood festivals to craft fairs.
A rental car or private vehicle is highly recommended as public transportation is not readily available. We are located on route 3 and on the island explorer bus route, so you can leave your car here and ride the bus for free (late June - Mid October).
Outdoor Amenities:
During warmer months the scenic grounds are vibrant with flower boxes, gardens, lush lawns, Adirondack chairs, and picnic tables shaded by umbrellas and mature trees. Play a game of cornhole, or gather with your group to roast marshmallows around the fire pit; the stars here are so bright at night!
The town of Trenton is known for its gorgeous harbors and ocean views; it borders the western shore of Union River Bay. Guests have access to Trenton’s water-based activities such as kayaking, boating, and fishing with a nearby public boat launch. Tourists, visitors, and residents alike enjoy fishing for codfish, haddock, bluefish, bluefin tuna, striped bass, salmon, and of course, lobster.
One of the main attractions of Acadia National Park is its breathtaking coastal scenery, with rocky cliffs, sandy beaches, and picturesque islands.
We get that you have a lot of choices for where to stay. With us you’re not only supporting a cool local spot, but also the people who live there. With us we hope you will make memories that last a lifetime. Here at Isleview Motel & Cottages by Ohana Inns, you’re family!
Self check-in is available any time after check in time, and your keycode will expire at the end of your stay. Your keypad code is provided prior to check in by our 24/7 customer service team. No need to go to a front desk. Guests have access to the entire home, gas grill, and picnic table, as well as lawns with yard games, driveways, and parking areas, as well as amenities in the lobby area. There is a shared laundry room connected to the house, which is used by our team during the day. This is available for your use after 5:30 pm.
To access the home, please enter through the Isleview lobby/common area and go through the door on your right hand side where you will find a digital lock for entry. Once inside the home, there is a front door which can be used - but you may find the entrance much more conducive for carrying luggage or groceries.
We are the hosts and owners. We are always available through portal messaging and by phone. You`ll see us out and about during the day working on site, but we`ve built a culture where our people can go home to their families at night. We have a 24/7 customer service line that can be reached at any time.
