Remontez le temps dans notre ferme insulaire par excellence: hĂ©bergements douces, jardin Ă  votre porte, Ă©tang avec kayaks et canoĂ«, et tranquillitĂ© et intimitĂ©. Ce charmant chalet dispose de toutes les commoditĂ©s dans un cadre pastoral; le hub isolĂ© parfait pour vos aventures insulaires, tout aussi bien adaptĂ© pour des vacances en famille ou une escapade romantique. NichĂ© dans une vallĂ©e en contrebas de notre maison principale, il jouxte notre jardin avec des produits pour votre table. N'hĂ©sitez pas Ă  vous promener vers le bluff pour admirer la vue sur West Sound ou Ă  faire du canoĂ« et des kayaks. Endormez-vous au choeur de la grenouille berceuse. Avec l'Ă©tang et la plĂ©thore d'une belle vĂ©gĂ©tation, notre ferme de 25 acres est devenue un sanctuaire d'oiseaux, avec des centaines d'espĂšces au fil des saisons. Cet appartement d'une chambre plus loft est bien amĂ©nagĂ© avec un mobilier de qualitĂ©. Lit queen dans la chambre, deux lits jumeaux dans le loft au-dessus (accessible par une Ă©chelle costaud avec porte de sĂ©curitĂ© en haut) et un canapĂ©-lit en cuir pleine grandeur dans le salon. Peut dormir 5-6 confortablement. Cuisine complĂšte, barbecue au propane, Ă©cran plat et lecteur blue-ray pour le divertissement (pas de cĂąble ou satellite), connexion Internet sans fil et chaleur du poĂȘle au propane. ET notre ferme de 25 acres jouxte Turtleback Mountain Preserve! Ce trĂ©sor insulaire propose des randonnĂ©es incroyables qui varient des anciennes zones boisĂ©es aux vues phĂ©nomĂ©nales des Ăźles voisines et au-delĂ . Nous sommes situĂ©s Ă  seulement cinq miles du ferry, Ă  cinq miles du village principal d'Eastsound et Ă  seulement 1 1/2 miles des eaux de West Sound, y compris une marina et un quai privĂ© pour l'amarrage. We've stayed here before and had another great stay. It is a sweet cozy cottage. We loved making use of the veggies in the garden. Our kids loved paddling around on the pond. We hope to be back soon!

Wonderful getaway in a lovely cabin

Spent two beautiful days here for our 12-year-old‘s birthday between enjoying Seattle and travelling towards Yellowstone. Loved everything about the property and the pleasant communication with our hosts. We used the kayaks and enjoyed sitting anywhere in- and outside. Very calming!

Comfy couch, hummingbirds off the porch, great egg pan, AC if you need it, walk to the pond, watch the bees in the veg garden. Loved this place! Call for help if the electronics aren’t working - Help came immediately and all was put right.

Sweet, little cottage with a lovely view of the garden. Wonderful for sleeping in, reading books and watching birds. The hummingbirds are not messing around. This was a good size for a family of three. Our dog loved the onsite walk to the pond and short path around the barn.

Serene & comfy

I had a wonderful stay at the cottage! The setting was exactly what I hoped for and the cottage itself was beautiful. Everything was spotlessly clean, private and quiet- and the gas fireplace was perfect. It was a very short drive to get anywhere I needed to go in town. I can’t wait to book another stay sometime soon!

Very charming

We stayed 3 nights for a weekend wedding. The setting was quaint, quiet and enjoyable. The house could easily be perfect for 4. Kitchen well stocked, as was bathroom.The furniture was cozy as was the overall feel of the 'cabin'. We really enjoyed the hummingbirds at the front porch. We were 12 minute drive from ferry dock, and a bit closer to Eastsound. There is a great winery 2 minutes drive towards town. We really enjoyed the island and spent a lot of time seeing different areas-the opposite side of the island was a 30 minute drive.I would highly recommend this rental!

Beautiful woodsy cottage

This is where you want to stay on orcas Island. Centrally located and secluded. Easy to get to and the accommodations in the cottage are spectacular. Everything you need in the kitchen to make a nice meal. The garden provided us with an onion and celery. A really nice treat.

Really liked the gas fireplace! Warmed up the place in no time. We played some of the supplied games nightly. Loved having a Bluetooth speaker too! The pillows and comforter were all wonderfully soft though the mattress was hard. One night I dozed on the couch, which was more comfy.The garden across from the cabin is charming. Only downside was that it was being worked on by a team of landscapers midday Saturday (complete with something motorized
a chainsaw? Maybe a leaf blower?) so my plans to read a book on the porch were quashed. But if you’re staying in a popular rental, thems just the odds. Yardwork’s gotta happen sometime. Orcas Island Winery is only the way into town from this direction. Was nice having an excuse to stop by!

Very nice nook for a visit, not built as a real residence. Loft with two beds we didn't use, master was roomy. Excellent place to base for a visit to Orcas island, has everything you need for a relaxing night or day.

Wish we had time to stay longer!

We stayed at the cottage-in-the-Barn for a couple nights with two college age kids and dogs. We loved the quiet setting and found it to be a great base for exploring Eastsound and other parts of the island. The cottage was clean and light and charming. It was beautiful in late winter but with the gardens and greenhouse, it must be wonderful in spring and summer!

Idyllic cottage in a barn

Our family had a great stay at Dragonfly Farm. The cottage in the barn was very cute and comfortable. The kids loved paddling around in the kayaks and seeing the frogs and dragonflies on the pond. The garden was beautiful, and we harvested some kale and snap peas for dinner. The host was very responsive. We'll be back!

Fully equipped cottage with convenient access to both Eastsound area and the ferry terminal area. We found it easy to prepare a few meals with the full kitchen or go out when desired. Mid-vacay laundry “at-home” was also a plus. My only quibble was soft water at meh water pressure in shower made rinsing slightly more lengthy. I almost hesitate to bring it up bc it was otherwise a highlight of our Pac NW vacation!

Lovely spot for a perfect fall weekend

This place is cozy and truly felt like home-away-from-home. The ladder to the loft is steep, the kitchen small, but it's a lovely spot for a small cozy group and perfect for our family trip. We had a fantastic time on the island and using the cottage in the barn as our homebase - enjoying the fresh veggies from the garden, the fireplace, cooking fresh crab in the kitchen, walking the grounds - couldn't have been more lovely. Things are well designed and appointed. Beds comfortable, and communication with the host was easy and quick. We'll be back!

We are long time Orcas Islanders -- Wally grew up on Orcas and Susan was drawn here because of summers with her grandparents on nearby Samish Island. The natural beauty was our initial attraction in building a life here, but the wonderful community of eclectic neighbors have kept us here. It has been a great place to raise our family.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We both have long family histories in the islands. We heard about this property 25+ years ago, tucked away on Turtleback Mountain, and came to take a look. Standing on the bluff, looking at West Sound to the south, and the moonrise over Mt. Woolard to the east, we said, "this is where we want to spend the rest of our lives." Pure magic.

Experience serenity here on the farm, taking walks to view lovely vistas, gathering your salad from the garden, breakfast from the chicken coop, and paddling around the pond. For your adventures, this is centrally located on Orcas Island, close to the ferry, close to Eastsound, and just minutes from Turtleback Mountain Preserve. Less than 15 miles from historic Rosario Resort and Moran State Park.
