Old Settlers Music Festival en avril à 19 km. Situé à 30 miles au sud d'Austin (ESPN X-GAMES, SXSW Musical Festival, ACL Fest, Old Pecan Street Festival & University of Texas Longhorn football) et à 24 km au sud-est de San Marcos (Premium et Tanger Outlet Malls, Aquarena Springs, Texas State University, San Marcos River canoeing, rafting, and tubing), il est situé au centre près de Lockhart, (plus de 50 films tournés ici au Barbecue Capitol du Texas avec le `` palais de justice le plus photographié '' au Texas) afin que vous puissiez avoir ce domaine sentir, mais toujours sauter dans la grande ville pour se divertir ou se plonger dans la rivière San Marcos pour flotter sur la rivière (louer des tubes au Don's Fish Camp ou Texas State Tubes). Amazing property!!

We had an amazing time. Much needed getaway and relaxing time. The kids had a blast exploring and fishing. We have our next trip back planned already!!

Country with convenience

We had a great time relaxing in the country. We played , fished, relaxed, and were close enough to town to go out to eat each night. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful inviting home with all the amenities

Perfect getaway for our family! Close enough to lots of attractions but far enough away from the hustle and bustle! My entire family is begging to return soon. Definitely one of our top favorite getaway spots!

Beautiful house in a perfect location: in the country yet 5 minutes from town! The owners were awesome when we had a problem! We did miss the peacocks this year!

Total Eclipse home base

We selected this property to have an escape from the crowd’s flocking to view the eclipse. The guest house was the perfect size for us and our golden retriever, and even room for our two relatives to stop by in their RV. Our dog enjoyed exploring the large yard. Very comfortable and a great getaway.

Thanksgiving Blessings

We had such a relaxing time at this beautiful property that was close and convenient to visit family. We sat on the different porches in the morning and enjoyed our coffee. The kitchen had everything I needed to make my Thanksgiving dishes. Everything was perfect!

Perfect Weekend

I looked all over for a place to stay that allowed medium size dogs, and took a chance with reserving Terri and Dana's place in Lockhart, TX. I made a great choice as this was the most relaxing stay I have experienced in a long time! My family felt at home from the time we walked through the door. I will definitely stay there again.

Lockhart visit

This was a perfect location for our trip to visit family in Lockhart. The property is charming and the house was clean and comfortable. The master bed was a little too soft for me, but that’s only a personal opinion. It’s a beautiful setting, and all the arrival and departure procedures were very easy. The only drawback was that we were barely there!

Right out side of Lockhart

Gated, which was nice. Outside of Lockhart but quick to get where your going. 130 toll road is right there as well. Inside was very nice. Anything that you need is right there. Cozy and cool for hot days. Glad I found it. When I come back, I will try to get this again. Hopefully for a couple weeks.

Peaceful setting

Lovely place with privacy. We enjoyed the quiet country setting with all the waterfowl, peacocks, and deer. It was convenient to San Marcos. During our stay we visited San Antonio, San Marcos, and Wimberley; all were within an hour or less. We spent mornings on the porch drinking coffee and enjoying the peacock parade and occasional deer.

Relaxing Country Home Close to BBQ Capital

Perfect weekend getaway for two adults and two Shih-tzus! Very comfortable. KING SIZED BED (a must in a rental-if you only have a Queen, you cut out a lot of potential guests). Nice size, good amenities, neat and comfortable decor, IMMACULATELY CLEAN, very private and pretty grounds. Close to great BBQ in Lockhart. Close to fun in San Marcos, New Braunfels, Austin and Central Texas. Peacocks and water fowl a neat plus! Dana and Terri were nice to deal with.

A little piece of heaven...

I had been looking forward to this getaway for months and was just blown away by the property! The pictures do NOT do it justice. It's decorated just right and it's just so dang cozy! We had the best sleep that we've had in YEARS. So peaceful and serene! The owners are so friendly and I was grateful that my dogs were allowed to come with because they had a great time too! They played all day and loved watching (and baying at) all the animals! I cannot wait to come here again! I think we've found our "regular" vacation spot!

Runaway from it all!

We had just completed five intensive months of selling a home, buying a new home, moving and a 20-week training class at our church along with the everyday things we had going on. We needed a break and just wanted to runaway from it all. Quiet and no other people was our main wish and DID WE GET IT! This home is a wonderful escape from it all. The owner even brought us fresh eggs from her hens! We could not have asked for a better place to rest and rejuvenate. Thank you for sharing this home!

great relaxing weekend.

We had such a great weekend. It was just what we needed. The owners were totally available if needed and extremely accomodating. The property was beautiful. The house was immaculate. Everything we could think of needing was already there. Our dogs had a fantastic time running about the huge property getting to stretch their "city dog" legs and go for a swim in the creek and pond. I would totally recommend this place to friends and we may be going back ourselves. The birds on the place were fantastic, beautiful to look. The owners even gave us a dozen homegrown eggs!!!

Best vacation ever!!!!

My kids, the dog and I spent a wonderful week at this little piece of heaven. It is the ideal place to get away from stress and let the children and dog roam around free. The property offers wide open spaces, lots of animals and the creek and fishing pond kept us widley entertained. The vacation home had everything we needed and make us feel very comfortable. Lockhart and the other cities nearby offer lot's of entertainment and fun. And then there is the part that made this vacation super special. The owners Terrie and Dana!!! They are the people for whom the word southern hospitality was invented for. We can't thank them enough for their generosity, their TLC!!!, their laughs and for giving the kids the best job ever. We will be back next summer! Love you guys!!!!!

A Stay with Nature’s Own Alarm Clock - Peacocks and More!

We recently stayed at this charming property, and it turned out to be much more than just a comfortable house—it was an enchanting experience! The house itself was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a cozy stay. But the real star of the show was the enormous yard. It felt like stepping into a storybook setting with its sprawling green lawn, perfect for leisurely strolls or simply lounging under the sun. The yard was a veritable paradise for bird lovers! It hosted an array of waterfowls, from graceful swans to amiable ducks, all of which added a serene vibe to our mornings. But the most spectacular of them all were the peacocks. Their vibrant colors and majestic presence were truly a sight to behold. One of the most unforgettable moments was being woken up by the loud call of a peacock—a sound you don't often hear, especially in the city. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, almost like nature's own alarm clock! It might catch some off guard, but for us, it was a delightful and unique aspect of our stay.

Lockhart

The property was great, had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the geese and peacocks. My son and grandson had fun fishing and walking the property. It had a fenced in yard, which was great for my dog. It was nice and secluded but also close to town. It was good to get out of the city, we had a great time.

Great getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this property. We had come to town for a bbq fest and we’re just 8-10mins from the downtown area. We also spent time in Austin 30mins away and even went to San Antonio just 1hr away. We would stay here again. It was nice waking up in the morning and going fishing each day.

Peaceful country setting close to town

Perfect place to reconnect with nature and relax. Geese, ducks, peacocks, deer and armadillo, great fishing, swings over the creek. I could go on and on! This property offers so much. Inside and one patio worked well for handicap guest. Plenty of room to move around easily. Definitely would stay again.
