Old Settlers Music Festival en avril à 19 km. Situé à 30 miles au sud d'Austin (ESPN X-GAMES, SXSW Musical Festival, ACL Fest, Old Pecan Street Festival & University of Texas Longhorn football) et à 24 km au sud-est de San Marcos (Premium et Tanger Outlet Malls, Aquarena Springs, Texas State University, San Marcos River canoeing, rafting, and tubing), il est situé au centre près de Lockhart, (plus de 50 films tournés ici au Barbecue Capitol du Texas avec le `` palais de justice le plus photographié '' au Texas) afin que vous puissiez avoir ce domaine sentir, mais toujours sauter dans la grande ville pour se divertir ou se plonger dans la rivière San Marcos pour flotter sur la rivière (louer des tubes au Don's Fish Camp ou Texas State Tubes). Beautiful location, easy to find our way around. The geese, ducks, and occasional chicken were so fun to watch! We very much enjoyed our stay. The home was clean, well maintained, and very comfortable to come back to after a day at the track. If we are ever back in the Austin area, we’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

Great family stay!!!

We were in town for a LL baseball tournament and our family is too big for a hotel. We have 3 boys and a dog. The little yard was great for our dog and morning coffee and the boys were fishing the entire time, unless we were playing basball. It had everything we needed and plenty of space to roam. I can't say enough positives about this place. All the boys on the team were alittle jealous lol.

Lockhart

The property was great, had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the geese and peacocks. My son and grandson had fun fishing and walking the property. It had a fenced in yard, which was great for my dog. It was nice and secluded but also close to town. It was good to get out of the city, we had a great time.

Amazing property!!

We had an amazing time. Much needed getaway and relaxing time. The kids had a blast exploring and fishing. We have our next trip back planned already!!

Country with convenience

We had a great time relaxing in the country. We played , fished, relaxed, and were close enough to town to go out to eat each night. Would definitely stay again.

Right out side of Lockhart

Gated, which was nice. Outside of Lockhart but quick to get where your going. 130 toll road is right there as well. Inside was very nice. Anything that you need is right there. Cozy and cool for hot days. Glad I found it. When I come back, I will try to get this again. Hopefully for a couple weeks.

Total Eclipse home base

We selected this property to have an escape from the crowd’s flocking to view the eclipse. The guest house was the perfect size for us and our golden retriever, and even room for our two relatives to stop by in their RV. Our dog enjoyed exploring the large yard. Very comfortable and a great getaway.

Lockhart visit

This was a perfect location for our trip to visit family in Lockhart. The property is charming and the house was clean and comfortable. The master bed was a little too soft for me, but that’s only a personal opinion. It’s a beautiful setting, and all the arrival and departure procedures were very easy. The only drawback was that we were barely there!

Thanksgiving Blessings

We had such a relaxing time at this beautiful property that was close and convenient to visit family. We sat on the different porches in the morning and enjoyed our coffee. The kitchen had everything I needed to make my Thanksgiving dishes. Everything was perfect!

A Stay with Nature’s Own Alarm Clock - Peacocks and More!

We recently stayed at this charming property, and it turned out to be much more than just a comfortable house—it was an enchanting experience! The house itself was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a cozy stay. But the real star of the show was the enormous yard. It felt like stepping into a storybook setting with its sprawling green lawn, perfect for leisurely strolls or simply lounging under the sun. The yard was a veritable paradise for bird lovers! It hosted an array of waterfowls, from graceful swans to amiable ducks, all of which added a serene vibe to our mornings. But the most spectacular of them all were the peacocks. Their vibrant colors and majestic presence were truly a sight to behold. One of the most unforgettable moments was being woken up by the loud call of a peacock—a sound you don't often hear, especially in the city. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, almost like nature's own alarm clock! It might catch some off guard, but for us, it was a delightful and unique aspect of our stay.

Peaceful setting

Lovely place with privacy. We enjoyed the quiet country setting with all the waterfowl, peacocks, and deer. It was convenient to San Marcos. During our stay we visited San Antonio, San Marcos, and Wimberley; all were within an hour or less. We spent mornings on the porch drinking coffee and enjoying the peacock parade and occasional deer.

Great getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this property. We had come to town for a bbq fest and we’re just 8-10mins from the downtown area. We also spent time in Austin 30mins away and even went to San Antonio just 1hr away. We would stay here again. It was nice waking up in the morning and going fishing each day.

Peaceful country setting close to town

Perfect place to reconnect with nature and relax. Geese, ducks, peacocks, deer and armadillo, great fishing, swings over the creek. I could go on and on! This property offers so much. Inside and one patio worked well for handicap guest. Plenty of room to move around easily. Definitely would stay again.

Terri & Dana Garrett, local community newspaper owners having published the Lockhart Post-Register for the past 42 of it's 148 year history. We live adjacent to this rental property keeping a close eye on our 18 acre estate.
