Homeowner reached out to me very quickly upon reserving the place. Nice finishings in this home along with a huge shower in bathroom #2. Didn't have any problems with WIFI tv and everything in the kitchen worked with everything we needed during our 2 night stay. Short drive to downtown and college campus was exactly what we were looking for.
My wife Vida and I have an international clothing design business called Lost Island Trading. We travel the world looking for unique fabric and use the local craftsmanship to manufacture our designs. We travel a lot, so VRBO is a great way to rent our cozy art house while we are on the road. We short term rented this house back in 2019 and closed it down when Covid hit. We are luxury bedding freaks so each bedroom is fitted with Hotel Collection supima cotton sheets. We installed a whole house water filtration system with a reverse osmosis faucet on the sink to keep you healthy inside and out during your stay.
We bought this house new in 2014 for our son who went to Texas State University. It's literally walking distance to campus. He bought a golf cart and some miniature goats while he was in college and the place barely survived the experience. When he graduated we rented the house for a year and then refurbished it and turned it into a luxury rental. I don't think we were did much business with VRBO at the time, but we were 5 star Super Hosts on Airbnb. Everyone who stayed with us loved the location and the vibe of the house. We are situated on a dead end street and designed the yard for maximum privacy. The interior is hardwood, stained concrete and porcelain tile in the kitchen. Our neighbors are casual and friendly.
The privacy. We are right in the heart of San Marcos and when you are sitting on the front porch watching the deer graze under the shade of the 100 year old twin oak in the yard, it feels like you are in the country.
